  1. I almost bought some of those, out of curiosity, but they cost too much to have them sent from Japan. Because they are considered good luck, they have every variety you can imagine in Japan.
  2. These are Fanyu Good Luck Charms I will be handing out at Worlds. (You can find me at seat: SECTION 101 - ROW R - SEAT 10) Obviously, I expected Yuzu to be doing Origin there, but it's still good luck and will remind us of purple Origin. At least I added a Ballad feather In Japan, 5 yen coins are considered good luck. They also consider KitKat bars good luck because "Kit Kat" sounds like the Japanese word for "sure win." Because of this, KitKat bars are very popular in Japan... and, well, they're yummy ,chocolate covered wafers, so... Anyway, I'll post a reminder as we get closer.
  3. Well... I got the purple roses and they're very lovely, but the 1,040 which I bought take up a lot of room. I'm driving to worlds, so I can easily manage several thousand of them (I hope I can afford more later,) but If anyone is joining me in this endeavor, you should know, one package of 80 roses is 13x10x3" inches. Since they're made of thin foam, they are very lightweight.
  4. Hi everyone. I want to make a statement at Worlds. I want there to be no question who we are all there to see. I know others will provide those wonderful individual banners again, and I purchased 1040 3-inch purple foam roses at only $0.15 each (see Amazon link below) to hand out at Worlds. I plan to put tags on them, with Yuzu's name, Origin, World's 2020, and maybe 4A written on them. Maybe we can all hold them up or wear them so the cameras can see. Man, I really just want to rub ISU's faces in it. Anyway, I can only afford 1040 for now, but if anyone else wants to join me in this endeavor, I've provided the link. Please note, this is less than half the price of other sellers, so I don't know if this price will hold for long: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07YC71DTN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  5. I wish you all the luck! I'm worried about him retiring and being forced to fight for FaOI tickets.
  6. Yeah, the timing is why I think it was the start of Yuzu trying to get the Bielmann back. He couldn't grab his right foot and force it upward while his ankle was still injured. But this is exactly the sort of work he would need to get it back. Also, not too many men at TCC would be stretching for a Bielmann. I hope so too - that he's been ordered to take it easy for awhile. Poor, exhausted baby.
  7. Remember, he wasn't able to do the Bielmann for a long time after his right ankle was injured. Which makes perfect sense; pulling that foot above his head and pointing his toe couldn't be good for the ankle. So once it healed, I'm sure he had to work at it before he could get the Bielmann back. Also, in this picture, we don't know what point he's at in the stretch. They're not all in time, so the next frame could be him doing it perfectly.
  8. WOW, is this also Yuzu - only male in a class with girls stretching to do the Bielmann spin?
  9. Self-dental care makes you squirm? Then I highly recommend that you never watch the Tom Hanks movie: CASTAWAY.
  10. Beg? Get on the floor and grab the leg of the bureaucrat in charge, wailing about Yuzu. Refuse to let go until they watch Olympic ballad, Semei, and Swanyu on your cellphone, because surely then they will grant you a visa??? Promise them a lap dance? Or to wash their car every weekend for the rest of your life?
  11. You really need to do everything you can to see him live. There is no experience to compare it to. The network cameras follow him too closely, in a way that hides his incredible speed and the beautiful patterns he makes across the ice. Figure skating was really meant to be watched in an ice rink. If seeing Yuzu the way he was meant to be seen isn't enough, you get the incredible crowd of Fanyus who greet you warmly and give out cool gifts. It feels like a Yuzu convention, where everyone knows the secret of joy! Most of Yuzu's fans are wonderful, kind people, because Yuzu is an actual angel, and angels attract good and kind people. I swear, you will come away with life-long friends, just from waiting in line. Save every penny, sell your hair, stop eating out, if someone will help you buy airfare for your teeth, then rip them out of your own mouth with pliers. Whatever it takes - get yourself in an audience to see this magical being for yourself, because television pales in comparison to being there.
  12. Exactly. If we sing Happy Birthday after he loses, our foolish boy will probably scowl and feel like he doesn't deserve a happy birthday. I wish there were some way to get it through to him that what we really want is just to see him skating and the reason we love seeing him win is because HE wants to win so badly and we just want him to be happy.
  13. It's not intuitive. They make you scroll back up to the top after selecting Yuzu, then you have to select the undelined text that says "Back to the categories". That will save your vote and you can do the same in the other categories. It's like they're trying to confuse us.
  14. HAHAHA! I didn't say it would work, only that I think that's what they're trying. Remember when they assumed Yuzu would retire after his second OGM, so they retired his world records? But that only motivated him to stay and challenge the new scoring system. Trying to keep his scores down so they don't have to do it again is only pissing us off. So I think you're right, the awards ceremony might backfire too.
  15. Good point. Maybe the data will tell them, for instance whether the baby Russian Ladies who are just jumping beans, with no artistry are more popular with the audience than those who are the complete package with outstanding technical skills behind their artistry but don't jump a quad.
  16. Agreed. What they care about is keeping the $$$ he brings them, and they know if they don't do something, they will lose a fortune when he retires. They need to create new stars, or they're all going to be poor.
  17. ME over think things? Never! HAHAHA! But in all seriousness, I really think these awards are all about getting to a future without Yuzu.
  18. VOTE AND PUSH THIS!! WHY IT MATTERS: Remember, that BigWig from the ISU said the greatest challenge for figure skating, going forward, was going to be when Yuzu stops competing. I believe this Awards Ceremony is a two-part solution to their problem. First, they're trying to get a real head count of serous skating fans and the countries they're from. According to the criteria they posted on their website, they will take into account: " b) the absolute number of on-line votes per Candidate including on-line votes from all countries, but not including the on-line votes from the Candidate's country of origin." They are trying to find out how many non-Japanese fans really support Yuzu, and also if Nathan or anyone else has enough support from all over the world to help them decide who to concentrate on making into a future star. If the data shows it's mainly Japanese fans who follow Yuzu around the world, it will be easier for them to justify screwing him over with bad scores, etc. So every non-Japanese fan needs to vote. Also, I would bet everything I own that they will make this ceremony very Yuzu-centered. They're trying to mend fences with fans they've pissed off, but they will also use Yuzu to help pass his own torch. I wouldn't be surprised if they even have Yuzu give out the award for most promising new-comer (although that might be a little too obvious.) They definitely will take advantage of Yuzu's kindness and diplomacy, to get Yuzu to wholeheartedly endorse whoever they pick to award. If they make enough of a big deal over Yuzu and they get Yuzu to make a big deal out of the skaters who will continue to skate when he's gone, they're hoping we will forgive them for all the times they've screwed him over, and Yuzu will be the one to talk us into loving Nathan - or whoever they've chosen to make into a star. It's all about getting butts in seats after Yuzu is gone.
  19. HEX! NO! Get thee behind me, foul and evil spawn of Hell!!!
  20. Okay, I concede. The Ice wins his hand in marriage. We just get to be the happy Aunties, crying at the wedding.
  21. Well... I watch Yuzu videos then too.
  22. I dunno, I think we can get in on that action, since we're there to watch him make love to the ice... um... okay, now I sound like a voyeur.
  23. And look at the fluffy squirrel's lower ribcage area, above his waist. He has definitely bulked up his twisting muscles from all that quad/quint training. It's especially obvious in UA gear when he lifts his arms.
  24. HAHAHA! I was already thinking of knitting stuff for people instead of buying Christmas gifts, BUT how can I make time for that? My time ALSO belongs to Yuzu. I mean, priority one every night after work is watching Yuzu videos, and I can't really look down at my knitting... oh dear, what to do, Christopher Robbins, what to do?
