About Chopin once again: I understand Chopin3 is his strategy for the 2nd OGM and I will surely love the program, it will be so great. He is anxious to win gold and I do hope it because he is such an amazing skater. The quads, pressure and the hard season with two new programs have also effected to his SP choice. But still, he won WC and GPF with two new programs. And what happens to Figure skating in general if many skaters, especially top ones, start to repeat their programs for three seasons? Could this happen in the future because of the quads. No time for new programs any more.

Thanks for all the music you guys have brought up here. SuzuQ, thanks especially for the Japanese ones. I do hope Yuzu´s another piece will be Japanese also next season. Imo the other one could also be Mozart PC23. I would love to see his version of it. Gabby/Guillaume´s FS season 2014-15 was so beautiful. I guess Yuzu might like the music.

Murieleirum, Kiira Korpi skated to Sibelius violin concerto as her last FS 2015 before r***ng. I don´t remember anyone else using this lovely piece of music. Shae Lynn made the choreography for her. You´ll find the video in Youtube if you want to see it.

Thank you all for your posts! Was it during the worlds or WTT where Yuzu said he would like to try something new like string music and mentioned also the connection to his name. He did skate to violin music at least in his first senior season 2010-11, quite many years ago. About Japanese music: Seimei and HL made WR-scores so Japanese or Asian music could still be a good choice for the Olympic season too. I don´t really know would the politics between Japan and South Korea have any influence on his music choice. Many skaters use different types of western music always, year after year. I see no reason why the judges would not approve Japanese music for the third time in a row. The piece should probably be different from Seimei and HL and maybe it would be better to use it in SP this time. Imo the judges should encourage the skaters to make brave music choices. It could develop this sport forward. For example S/H FS music Blues for Klook worked very well. I guess Lori Nichol picked it for them. I wonder shall we get news about new programs and music next week. I hope so. Very late replies to ser22: I like "Sleeping sun" a lot too. And to just_peachy: "Love runs out" would be great music for EX. Yuzu would skate it like a fire. Sorry I am so late. I find it hard to keep up with this site. Especially the General talk thread moves on so quickly.

6-7 quads at FS sounds unbelievable and risky especially at OG with all the extra pressure there, but who knows. Very interesting to see the first competitions next season. I also wonder how will 6-7 quads affect to the presentation.

If he skates to a movie soundtrack, I would like it to be a Japanese movie. But somehow I started to wonder could he go for Schindler´s list? It is a warhorse but still very beautiful and touching music. His interpretation of it would bring people in big tears for sure.

Hi everyone, this is my first post here. Thank you for all your opinions and thoughts. He surely chooses a warhorse only if he really likes it and feels the piece suits well for his skating style. So I guess it would to be fine with a warhorse too. But if he chooses something different, these came to my mind: For SP japanese music or a strong classic aria like Una furtiva lagrima by Donizetti or maybe Ombra mai fu (Largo) by Händel. Mainly orchestral versions with some singing in the end of the program. For FS a modern song: - Alive by Sia ( or Unstoppable, Never give up...) Sia is as strong in music as Yuzu is on ice. - Orchestral version of Imaginaerum by Nightwish, played by London Collage of Music. Or Taikatalvi(Wintermagic)/Storytime/Song of myself-mixture. I think these these songs are so dignified and majestic that they would be suitable for OG too.
