    That's cute, though you should try to do some sampling, otherwise you will get a lot of female respondents here... :)

    I hope I'll get male participants from another platform, but then even in my own program we are mostly girls, so gender bias must be mentioned haha!

    Now that was fun ^^ I've noticed some patterns myself while taking the test. I'd be curious to know more about it!

    Glad to know you have found it to be fun! If you want to know more about the research, feel free to PM me :) Thank you for your help!

    Done! That was fun, and also somewhat intriguing, there were some familiar sounding questions towards the end there.

    Thank you! A lot of people actually find this experiment to be quite boring haha!

    If you would like to know what I'm researching and the aim of the experiment, you can PM me :)

    Filled it out, as well. Hope it helps! (Now I am curious what exactly you're researching)

    Thank you! I can share more about the rationale behind it once I finish collecting data, or you could PM me :)

  5. Dear all, as a university student, I need your help with my master’s dissertation. My study involves visual search and how people describe objects, and should take around 20 to 30 minutes depending on how much you write. There is no specific requisite for participants (only above 18 years old) so I would love you to complete the experiment of the following link (all instructions are there). There is no harm associated with it and it's for educational purposes only. All data will be anonymous as well. Your help is very much appreciated. Feel free to PM me if you would like to know more.

    Here's the link: https://essex.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6VggxqmPnlENHil

    I think this thread should not be restrained to my experiment only, so if you happen to be in the same situation as I am (and been looking desperately for participants), feel free to share your experiment here as well. I would love to help you in any way I can (and I'm sure others will too)!

  6. Kostornaia was terrific today! She's my favorite junior lady. Her program is quite nice, it doesn't feel too packed for me and her jumps, especially her spins are gorgeous. She had that spiral (I think you call it a spiral?) where she raised her leg and then crossed her hands in front (don't know how to describe it) that I found quite pretty. I would personally rank her higher than Trusova, though I also like her :)

    I saw Mai at ACI last month - her Free Skate blew me away - what a beautiful, sensitive figure skater she is; hers was the only programme and skating that elicited my tears (and I saw Yuzu's magnificent Chopin Ballade, Moir and Virtue's dramatic,stunning Moulin Rouge  programme, and the beautiful pairs programmes by Meagan and Eric and the French couple) Mai's skating shone ✨yet she didn't win 🥈😞 I LOVED IT ❤️

    Oh I haven't had the chance yet to check her FS this season but I'll definitely do it soon. She might be a little rough on the edges but she does have charisma on the ice and that sensitiveness that you have mentioned in your comment. Both her programs this season also show a good contrast and The Mission (I still call it Nella Fantasia) is one of my favorite music pieces ever! Also, her costumes and image is always spot on :P

    Just feeling to live up this thread by sharing a Russian song I've completely fallen in love with since a few months ago. I stopped listening to it and found it again tonight.

    This is so melancholic and yet so strong.

    Oh thanks for the suggestion! I'm completely smitten by her vocals. I'll check more of her songs tomorrow :)

    LOL i often try to check the planet during my break times at uni  :laughing:

    the people around me are used to the "strange person laughing her head off randomly" (me) by now...

    There's nothing more entertaining and de-stressing for a break between classes than 'aesthetic' jumping faces LOL

    That show was so unfair. Only Stephane and Shizuka were single skaters. They were up against ice dancers who were used to skating with a partner (even if it wasn't their own partners). Both are still perfection in my eyes though... :7938863:

    Ohh interesting performance! I didn't know there were such competitions... and Dick Button should do more commenting jobs (I still remember him praising Yuzu in Sochi)

    I've been watching some Satton programs and I love the details in her hair in her Planets costume - it really makes the outfit something a little special. I also usually dislike flowing sleeves but I like the variation she wore in some of the exhibition (?) skates ; _ ;

    And in my opinion, it's quite difficult to pull off a white costume on the ice but hers was simply gorgeous ^^

    I am so tempted to turn this thread into a Candeloro appreciation thread. I will just say to you "Lucky Luke."

    :rofl::rofl::rofl:

    Does he ever do something not from movies or not interpreting a character? I has a 'Mission Impossible' too and the 'I'm too sexy' brainwashing song :P

    Both James Bond and Matrix programs suited Joubert's style very much! I liked his skating very much too. I won't forget how he won his first Europeans title over Plush back in 2004 with Matrix and also Bond is very memorable because it was his short program in the season when he won his only Worlds title in 2007.

    He was the one I rooting for in 2007 and that time on TV they named him, Lambiel, Plushenko and Weir the Ice Kings. That James Bond program, besides lovely costume, had a very dramatic music cut that suited his style quite well. And this has made me nostalgic since I watched that Worlds SP 2007 live on TV. :tumblr_inline_n18qr5lPWB1qid2nw:

    What is it with French skaters and blockbuster movie routines (Joubert, I'm looking at you.)

    This is another favourite. All the trouble of saloon doors and he just skates AROUND them. Also, costume troubles.

    Ah Joubert, I kind of miss him on the ice (and yeah, when it comes to him, I remember James Bond or Matrix immediately :facepalm:). They do have this showmanship that is pretty entertaining to watch ^^

    And the more you watch, the more you dig. Another 'movie' performance:

    The ball is funny though :P

  14. I just want to say that this is such an informative thread, especially for someone like me who started following skating after the Olympics in 2006 in Torino. It's great to see the evolution of programs and changes of standards throughout the years.

    Now let me off to watch that Bolero's performance.
