  1. We got fooled with the 2015 Seimei shrine picture, but tell me how do we tell which one which if Yuzu himself stop growing since 2014??? How are these pics different than the pics from FaOI 2014-2015?? How is he different from back then?? He basically looks 16 all the time my head hurts
  2. I will take anything! Any random facts correlations, superstitious beliefs, fortune tellers, etc as long as it has a positive connection towards Yuzu's second OGM. Bc currently it seems to me his 2nd OGM will be an "against all odds" situation. So, I will really take ANYTHING for him to win.
  3. I was thinking he's either A or O, but a B huh sorry guys I'm just a little into blood type personality
  4. Thank uuu @gladi for another amazing translation That quad loop is indeed the best decision Yuzu has ever made! And to think it was originally for his foot injury prevention (according to Brian above), that quad loop has really come a long way. Just wondering, is Yuzu's blood type A? His known character just sounds like it
  5. I think his cheeks were actually rounder when he was younger. If you compare Junior Worlds 2010, Worlds 2012, Sochi 2014, GPF 2015, and Worlds 2017, I get the impression as he gets older his face features get sharper, thus less round cheeks overtime. However, this is only apparent when he wears his costume or when he competes. I cannot really tell during his interviews or when he wears casual clothes / suits. What am I doing analyzing his cheeks' volume
  6. I found this video on YouTube and can I just take a moment to shed my tears of joy to finally see Yuzu with a fitted black suit the sleeves were not too long, we could see the tip of his white shirt on the other hand, Japan used to have a pair that could medal at Worlds? Edit: oh the guy is not Japanese...
  7. The worst part of him is not only he doesn't age, his hairstyle never really changes too, well except at Worlds 2014.
  8. Yeah I know, but sometimes they take behind the scene pictures while shooting a program and then release it either on the internet, magazine, or newspapers for promotional purposes. That's why I'm confused bc I don't see the usual recording cameras ...
  9. Were they shooting a tv program or did Yuzu just go there to pray? That lady behind him with the big camera could be a TV staff, but idk it doesn't look like he's shooting??
  10. I don't think any of us who was speculating about Yuzu's singing skills, whether he's bad or good, had any negative intention such as bashing. We're just having fun talking about random things. Today is a no-news-about-Ninja-Yuzu-day after all
  11. I think there was a reason why he lip synced to GreeeeN(?) on the Red Cross CM instead of actually sang it I think the message was: He's a pro in lip syncing, but don't expect too much for his real singing voice ETA: The moment when you realize everyone except Yuzu gets to sing
  12. I think he does and I don't think it actually sounds pleasant to the other competitors' ears At least he has the decency to lip sync than actually sing during the warm ups
  13. I really love that kimono costume Yuzu's humor Never know he is one of those people that has like the lamest joke ever, but becomes super funny just because the joke is super lame it makes you laugh so much
  14. @gladi 's translation is such a good read Now that the other skaters are running around trying to upgrade their tech with the speed of Apollo 11 leaving the earth, I am really glad if Yuzu could bring the splat fest trend to its final season If Yuzu could have Medvedeva's consistency next season, I think my bank account would stop suffering lol My alcohol expenses during the season is unbelievable You will really be the light of my life through my bank account Yuzu
  15. I think so bc this is the magazine that was released at FaOI. I saw people picked up the magazine at Makuhari arena on twitter, so there's no way he did the interview during FaOI.
  16. If he decides to skate to Seimei 2.0, this decision is actually consistent with his team statement to the media a long time ago. I remember, I think Shirota-san?, said (not a direct quote) that he will choose the best programs from the Pyeongchang Olympic cycle seasons to skate at the Olympic. So, his choices for SP are between Chopin and LGC, whereas for FP are Phantom, Seimei, and H&L. We all know what happened with Phantom and H&L was pretty much under appreciated. So, it makes sense he goes for Seimei. I think Brian said they saved the best music for the Olympic?? Then, this could be the variable to the statement about repeating both programs above, and we could actually get a new FP. I really love Seimei, but H&L has become my favorite this year bc it really shows his delicacy. H&L music is far from a warhorse music that I don't feel bored repeating it over and over. Also, Yuzu's expression is so calm that I can watch the performance 10384749299384 times and it's still beautiful. Seimei, on the other hand, is a warhorse program for me. I can't really watch it over and over; I only watch it when I really miss it. However, I am on the side of people that has hoped Seimei to happen at Pyeongchang. Seimei is just such a powerful program, it would attract so many people. Olympic is where figure skating gets the biggest exposure to the people who never know about it before. I was one of those people, who got attracted to PW and became the fans of this sport right after Sochi. I feel if Yuzu can perform Seimei clean at Pyeongchang, no doubt he would bring more fans to the sport. Seimei is just that epic. Also, if he could make it, I hope he would stay at least another year to give those new fans more chances to understand how this sport works and grow to be this sport's fans.
  17. So, the 4T has become friends with the reliable 3A, that he could jump it well even when he's tired from traveling. Reading this, I could totally see how 4T has got promoted to become his favorite child alongside 3A Next up, 4S, you better start to behave and learn from 3A and 4T so you can be Yuzu's favorite child too I really like his comments about Medvedeva. Yuzu is already at the top, but he still wants to learn from another fellow athletes the traits that he sees beneficial for his career. His acknowledgment of other athletes' achievements help him to become better and better, bc he doesn't just see them as rivals, but also role models. I really like his sportmanship. His shades tho well even a saint has his limits I see
  18. The cabbage / seaweed costume is still giving me nightmares tbh
  19. I'm in for Chopin 3.0 in boobskirt 2.0
  20. The thing about Yuzu is when he performs his program clean, people can only subjectively nitpick his programs, such as this program is not my taste, it's boring, what's with his costume, he's too feminine, etc. No one could ever criticize his technical skills, especially his jumps, transitions, skating skills, bc he's just such a complete skater. He never cheats on his jumps, he cares about edges, his spins are fast and he absolutely hates when he lets his program empty without those transitions. Of course as a complete skater he wouldn't be able to have Patrick's edges, bc I admit that Patrick is just talented and so good at it. However, that's what makes Yuzu special, he doesn't have a specific specialty. He's just good at figure skating as a whole that when he goes clean, quoting Kurt Browning, he gives the judges the big picture. This is how a figure skating program should be. It's not just about the jumps, not just about edges, not just about artistry, but it's about a whole package of everything combined. This whole package program is really hard to beat, especially when you are a top skater yourself who is aware of your own ability, you just know today is not your day.
  21. He was already good at interviews even at 15 yo. He's so enthusiastic, but still very respectful, and yet well informed. His concern about how there's only 1 ice rink at Miyagi and his answer about how Arakawa Shizuka used her OGM status to help opening back the rink motivated him to do the same really made my jaw dropped. He's 15, and yet he's not self centered during his interviews, how's that even possible For his diet, I am quite sure it changes over time. His stamina was not good back then. Novak Djokovic only knew he's celiac on 2010 during Davis Cup. After he changed his diet, he became no 1 in the world the following year. So, I guess it made sense if Yuzu had never been to a nutritionist during his junior career and just ate whatever he wanted without too much thought, hence the oily food diet.
  22. Ehm I tried watching YOI skating scene on YouTube and I wasn't sold at all. I think they need to have a final fantasy 3D animation style in order to capture the skating skills especially edges. Those edges, for me, are the main reason figure skating looks so beautiful. I am in tho for a Joe Hisaishi soundtrack
  23. Man that wax figure looks like a nightmare. It would give PTSD for his fans and also unethical to ask a favor to measure that terror inducing figure. I accept that 175 cm approximation. 5'9" sounds nice
  24. I'm sorry but I always lose my shit watching this
  25. https://kichessarjilian.tumblr.com/post/161355046264/looking-at-this-photo-is-the-image-of-yuzu-in so according to this, it looks like the Sendai monument is a real life size of Yuzu? Can someone who lives in Sendai do us a favor by solving the mystery of his height then??
