  1. Hi Everyone, Hope you are feeling a bit better. Like many other satellites have described, I'm slowly moving towards acceptance, which is really irrational because Yuzu is not a personal friend but it does show how special this magical skating unicorn is. Logically, the decision announced yesterday, is courageous Yuzu at his best and the best decision for him I had a panic wake up in the night thinking that I had to buy GP tickets, then remembered that that is all over. Checked ISU Grand Prix page, not yet updated so 4th event still TBA and skater entries still states coming soon There was a post which mentioned Yuzu being robbed at GPF and that since then the GP series has been an accursed fiasco. There was also discussion about whether the 2 replacement events had been promised Yuzu's attendance in order to induce agreement to host. Maybe the deal is off, who knows and the whole debacle will have to have serious re organisation or fail. ISU will now be forced to examine their actions, because the cash flow is all but dried up, even if people have a favourite skater, most non prejudiced FS fans still appreciate Yuzu. Yuzu still sells tickets. It would make me overjoyed if the entire IJS has to be overhauled at the next ISU congress and the council have to go begging for a boon from Yuzu in the future and attempt to woo him to return I seriously doubt that Yuzu will return to competition but anything is possible. Dai Takahashi has retired the unretired to compete at Sochi, retired then returned in Ice Dance. As singles competitor he had to take part in regionals/challenger series to achieve a threshold score. It would be too funny to see Yuzu at a smaller comp, although to watch him skate his heart out and rediscover the bliss of senior comp like one of his first appearances at Nebelhorn would give FS fans a bonus surprise. Plush for all his brusqueness has given his view to Yuzu face to face and always advised Yuzu to go for 4 Olys. Anything is possible and Yuzu has been so courteous with a little light shading, no less than fairly deserved, that the bridges are not burned. Besides, when the governing bodies and feds are desperate to avoid extinction it will be they who need to rebuild the bridge. Yuzu is already moving on, his sponsors have declared continued support. I hope that he does not have misgivings about his decision, which would be understandable and natural enough, given that he has spent his youth and adult life competitively skating. The door might have closed for now on a competitive career, but it is definitely not barred to Yuzu. The future will be filled with golden opportunity for Yuzu and it's one that I really want to enjoy as well Sorry to be repetitive. Thank you for your indulgence. Sending hugs
  2. Agreed, I will never spend any money on any ISU event from now on. I want Yuzu's endeavours to be an enormous success so I'll spend my money on Yuzu projects only
  3. Yuzu's ice shows will be a whole new genre, like CiONTU. Yes there will be fun group numbers but I also don't think that we have seen the last of gorgeous, elegant, sophisticated solo programmes for Yuzu to showcase what he does best. There will be new creations featuring thrilling elements including jumps, maybe even Nessie and favourites to be revisited and perfected. As for costuming, these competition programmes won't be the last Satomi Ito designs that we see Yuzu clad in. It won't be the same as a competition, but Yuzu wants a different skating life. I think that it will be a fantastic new journey to go on with Yuzu. I'm going to try to see the shows, somehow I will manage this. Best of all we will go and see him as a group, together. I believe this I've missed out, due to family and work commitments in the past, I regret that. Of course like everyone else, hoping for just one more season, and especially as Europe is so accessible for me at least. I thought I might have a few chances to fight for tickets. I was prepared to pay for Premium, Platinum and VIP, even had hotels and Turin flight booked and bought Poohs.
  4. @Pammisorry, for making you cry ( crying too ) the Prosecco was supposed to help. Maybe you need more chocolate or kittens Yes please
  5. Season by season from the beginning
  6. Don't worry Geo1, when I'm fuelled by pure rage, it burns out pretty quickly like ignited magnesium. Already calmer and have removed my Medusa gaze. Besides, we will all go together to see the next exciting chapter, no one gets left behind
  7. I would very much like to believe that once Yuzu is producing his own shows, it will open up some options for fans who do not reside in Japan, to see him Firstly, Yuzu is aware that he has fans from all over the world and I would hope that in the same way Japanese tour operators sell packages to travel to Yuzu's comps there may be a way to organise this for shows - tickets and accommodation and transfers within Japan, own travel to Japan. He may set up his own base for shows. Secondly Yuzu may be invited to have his show travel to rinks outside of Japan. Then it will be whichever regional ticket agency that the venue is affiliated with. Thirdly, once a company is set up to organise all of the show related logistics there will at least be a box office or ticket agency for the purpose of selling tickets. Resourceful satellites will be able to secure some block bookings. Fourthly, Satellites write to organiser company to find a suitable business arrangement. Once there is a company involved in the organisational stuff it will be possible to make contact and find out how to purchase tickets if living outside of Japan This may be pure fantasy on my part, but in reality shows/events don't magically run themselves, there will be some point of contact, I'm merely being pragmatic. I'm prepared to investigate this myself in order to secure tickets somehow or other and would share info with Planet Together we can make this happen. Thinking about practical stuff is helpful to me instead of tears Last resort, the Planet crowd funds an exclusive show for us satellites
  8. Thank you Planet Hanyu For everything and especially existing on this exceptionally challenging day For being here to host our cheers, fears and tears You have introduced us to new friends and helped us share the love for it's one and only inhabitant Wishing all of the satellites ongoing fellowship, united in our support for Yuzu Let the next adventure begin Super sorry for spreading a cheesy sentiment, but it's genuinely meant and I just wanted to say Arigatou gozaimasu, before I forget, 'cos I'm happy for Yuzu but still crying for me My hypoallergenic cats are trying to comfort me
  9. It would be enough money to build 'Yutopia Skating World' hehehe and start the hypoallergenic kitten programme.
  10. Until at last I threw down my enemy and smote his ruin upon the mountain side... @AnabelLook at how useful 'word of the day' is becoming for casual conversation
  11. Update and have them released on Blu-ray
  12. They are probably all incapacitated with fear of what a future without Yuzu paying their bills, salaries, rent looks like. 4.5Million CHF debt!!! The accountants have most likely fallen unconscious, gone bald, turned to hard alcohol or just run away ( after all their delegation to Ice Palace Sendai failed - or maybe Nessie ate them after all )
  13. Agreed. If Yuzu ever has to need to cry again, let it be for something truly worth shedding tears over - like fans travelling from all over the world to see Yuzu starring in his own show, or cutting the ribbon to 'Yutopia' Skating World or something else incredibly meaningful, a PhD from Waseda, meeting the love of his life and my personal favourite - hypoallergenic cats
  14. The entire Planet and planet heard it in his own words. Good for Yuzu to publicise that he knew and will now overcome this terrible injustice by having an amazingly successful professional career.
  15. Yes Apparently the correct term is Professional Athlete Yuzure Hanyu, the greatest virtuoso in performing art ( there's a tweet regarding definition, hence swift update )
  16. Today is the launch date of Professional Skater Yuzuru Hanyu
  17. If there are enough Yuzu shows and tours, perhaps there will be enough tickets to see him. Perhaps, maybe, hoping that because Yuzu understands that there are fans outside of Japan, there can be tickets for ice shows sold as holiday packages. Seriously, one of the best ways to boost the economy in Tohoku would be for Yuzu to have an ice arena for shows with a hotel and leisure complex attached. The financial injection from shows, tourism, merchandising, publications would give people jobs and people would visit from all over the world to skate there, see a show, join a skating masterclass and generally spend their money in the region that Yuzu loves the most. A fool's ideal vision of a 'Yutopia', but there's no harm in having a dream. "If you build it, they will come"
  18. Seeing Nobu made me cry again
  19. Feeling the same It is most likely for the best. However, like you I agree it would have been immensely satisfying to see Yuzu bow out in front of a packed arena, Pooh blizzard and a ratified 4A and say farewell from the rarified peak of the podium
  20. Just cancelled the hotel reservations which I'd made for the comps. My Darling Hubby had paid for the Torino hotel ( nice one as well ) as a birthday present. Seems really final now saying goodbye to competitor Yuzu Logically for Yuzu it is a happy announcement about going to do fantastic projects, which I hope we will all have the opportunity to enjoy alongside him with a great deal of delight and less of the worry. Still it is the closing of a chapter on an illustrious career and I'm irrationally choked up about that. Looking forward to Yuzu's new endeavours and new adventures. As the great man said himself "Why am I crying?"
  21. Daily Spread Eagle Announcement from Prime Minister Pooh The Planet Hanyu Court Physician has issued the following decree exempting all who have suffered emotional trauma due to the Ice Emperor's recent announcement To whom it may concern: (Insert Name) had a serious Yuzu crisis last night and cannot be expected to function today. Prime Minister Pooh will be releasing salt from the stockpiles in case of emergency Avoid 'Paporika' and excess reading of a Terrestrial social platform known as Twitter
  22. Drinking Prosecco Ganbatte Yuzu
  23. Yuzu does not have to mentioned at all, but he will know that the idea was born out of loyalty for him and what was done to him by external forces
  24. btw Some of the small Poohs were intended to give as gifts for Satellites at the GP events. Sad that we won't be meeting at comps, but hopefully we can go to ice shows together
  25. The letter will be our tribute, let's leave a legacy that Yuzu and the Planet can be proud of
