Description: Five years have passed since the Hokkaido Eastern Iburi Earthquake, which marked the first time a seismic intensity of 7 was recorded in Hokkaido and resulted in the loss of 37 precious lives in Atsuma Town on September 6th, Heisei 30 (2018). During this time since the disaster, we have received immense support from people all over the country, both tangible and intangible. We would like to express our deep gratitude once again for the support we have received so far. In order to repay your support and assistance, Atsuma Town has started taking steps toward recovery and regeneration. This video was created to show the current state of the town and convey our gratitude to everyone who has shown their support and care for Atsuma Town since the earthquake occurred. We are grateful to Yuzuru Hanyu, who has continued to support the disaster-stricken area and appeared in this video, as well as Yoshiko Hanzaki, who graciously produced a wonderful support song for the 5th anniversary milestone. We also extend our thanks to all those involved in the production of this video. We kindly request your continued support for Atsuma Town as we continue to challenge ourselves towards recovery and regeneration. Thank you very much.

Part 1: 230718 Yuzuru Hanyu Special Making Video Part 2: 230710 Yuzuru Hanyu Special Message Translation of Part 1: What do you want to convey through GIFT picture book? In my journey of life, the experiences I've had, the struggles I've faced while immersing myself in the world of skating, the passage of time in the present moment, and the meaning of pursuing dreams - I hope all these aspects resonate with you from different perspectives as well. As I wrote this, I wanted it to reach into your hearts and minds, not just from my own point of view. While it's primarily based on my own personal experiences and stories within my imagination, words are born from within me. I believe that personal experiences play a significant role, but even if it's just a little, I hope you can feel that you've gone through similar things, moments of hardship, or the presence of someone who helped you during difficult times. I hope this story can create a place within you where you feel at home, where you can find solace. The deeper meaning infused into GIFT picture book? In crafting this story, I've tried to incorporate the most cherished individuals who have been important to me throughout my life. It encompasses the themes that have guided me as I've lived and faced the world of skating, constantly pursuing dreams. But what exactly is that dream? Who am I in relation to that dream? I've contemplated these questions as I've lived, and I've poured all those thoughts and experiences into this story. I believe that each of you also has dreams, and there are many dreams we've let go of. We live our lives on the foundation of those discarded dreams. I think there are countless small dreams rolling around within our daily lives. I value those dreams as well. With all my heart, I've written this story in the hope that it can become a wonderful gift for all of you. So please, take a moment to read it. That's it from me.
