  1. I speak Mandarin. The person in the video was saying that when Kikuchi first met Yuzu 15 years ago and Yuzu's father introduced Yuzu to him and telling him that Yuzu was learning figure skating, Kikuchi was wondering 'isn't figure skating a women's sport'?
  2. I love that they were asking you how he is doing like he is now their grandson
  3. Indeed he is the prince of darkness and ice, ruler of all our hearts and minds
  4. To be fair, not seeing Yuzu = we go insane. Seeing Yuzu = we also go insane
  5. Ahhhhh I had a feeling he would be doing FaOI I should have gotten tickets before he was announced! I guess I will have to watch the streams then... Not seeing/hearing anything from him was highkey torture. If he's doing all the shows, he must be doing well right? That's all I can ever wish for.
  6. He seemed to be so careful with Yuzu while with Boyang, he was basically flinging him around
  7. I admit that I may have changed my Zoom background to be blossoming sakura we all know that i would have changed it to be a picture of yuzu
  8. I would have two suggestions to give. One is more conventional, and the other would be less conventional. The conventional one is to suggest that he listen to music in other languages and culture, then looking at the translated lyrics. Given how in tuned he is in general to musicality, I feel like that would be very helpful. The less conventional one is to go 'borrow' a human from the human library (e.g. https://humanlibrary.org/). I often find that I get my inspiration from listening to other people's stories about their life. There are so many people who have lived so different lives.
  9. Someone else has already linked to the other videos, so here's the 2nd one Top right hand corner says 'PyeongChang 2018' and he is wearing his medal so it's definitely in 2018 post-pyeongchang. The background and text is similar to the video of him saying 'please eat me kaneki-kun', so it's the same video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jRTKNID45A (go to 0.30)
  10. That's really nice and considerate! I hope to go to Japan to watch some of the ice shows some time soon (all the Japanese skaters have such good skating skills!) to support all their skaters! The cookies look delicious! Clearly a lot of care and love have gone into making them. It makes me happy to think about the positive feelings that are going into making things for Yuzu and I always hope that these feelings will somehow (magically) reach Yuzu and support him whenever he's feeling rough.
  11. Not me literally crying and sobbing from this... p.s. I think someone posted the weibo link previously but I couldn't access it...
  12. I am watching the women's long program and the French audience knows what is quality! They were booing Ekaterina's low scores (how could she have gotten lower than Karen who was falling everywhere?) and cheering Wakaba on.
  13. Welcome! We huddle together in a pile to survive the drought by watering each other with drizzles of old water.
  14. He kind of does that for a lot of the ice shows so I'm not quite sure... 4:13 here (https://www. youtube.com/watch?v=YIH31F3zDMw) and 4.10 here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQpUbeJ6QVg)?
  15. Thank you Yuzu for always placing kindness first before other things This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  16. I would like another interview-style show with Yuzu and Nobu! The one with Shoma they had a while ago was hilarious and I think they all had fun eating dessert too
  17. Hmm I don't think a lot of fanyus are doing very well but I am holding on by looking at his interviews from the past, analyzing his past programmes, and generally vibing until he is ready to be in the public's eye again. As for wondering whether he is or isn't going to r-word, I try not to think about the future too much, especially a future I can hardly control! It just ends up generating anxieties for me. Right now, at this present time, I am imagining and hoping that Yuzu is sleeping well at night, eating well, and enjoying his daily life doing simple things like buying his favourite food (gyoza) from his favourite stall
  18. Wow thank you! This is great and very useful. I will save it. I am very happy that I will get to support both Yuzu and the people who have been unfortunate going through the natural disasters.
  19. I don't think the role of the coach is to do PR for their skaters or to hype them up in front of others. I don't think they have the media training to do that too. Brian, from the interviews I have heard from him, supports the skating goal of the skaters. He wants them to be focused on skating. He has previously also said that he knows Jun takes on a lot of TV commercials and has done acting, etc as a kid, but he has expressed that it would be better to tone down some of that so it doesn't interfere with his skating. This all makes sense to me. As an athlete and skater, their primary goal is to train to win, to push the sport. Most other things are secondary. Brian also seems to be the one on the TCC team who is very focused on strategies (e.g. points, layout, skills, jumps). Whenever he is talking about Yuzu, he has always said that Yuzu has his own ideas of what he wants to do, that when he gets onto the ice, Yuzu likes to have all eyes on him. Rather than having people talk about his details of the performance, Yuzu seem to prefer to show us the details of his performance. I see it more as the role of the commentators to be highlighting such details to us, which disappointingly, few commentators seem to be doing. The CBC does an ok job, but the least said about the NBC or ISU commentators, the better.
  20. Do you mind letting me know if you found somewhere that can help us purchase it? My friend and I are very interested in the files!
  21. And it is 30k in Japanese... once translated, it might actually be even longer. (but you know we would all read every single word anyways)
  22. I hope so too. It it times like these that puts into perspective how we are all really living on this small planet floating in the middle of nowhere and that nature has no eyes...
  23. I think I might have seen that tweet you are referring to. He truly does bring light to our lives in our darkest times.
  24. Good night! Have some peaceful dreams. And I hope there will be no tsunamis too.
  25. I hope everyone in Japan stays safe... My thoughts are with all of you.
