Congratulations Yuzuru! I was at my cousin’s wedding when Yuzu announced it, and I briefly wondered if the general wedding atmosphere around me was affecting my brain and making me misunderstand what I was reading, but then I realised it really was a marriage announcement! I am so incredibly happy for him, unexpected but very happy news.

Right now I mostly feel excited and a bit nervous, but I think I’ll feel way more nervous once we get closer to the actual start of the show.

It’s heartwarming to see so many tributes from other skaters, it really shows the effect Yuzu has had on this sport. While I’m sad I was never able to see him compete live, I can’t wait to see what he does next, and I really hope he considers doing shows in other countries as well!
