I’m curious...how exactly does the I-scope actually work? Are there multiple cameras analysing the jumps? How do they make sure it’s accurate and how are they able to calculate the speed of the skater? Thanks!

I was scrolling through the meme thread and I found this from 2017... This has aged very well...

On the topic of old videos, I rewatched hana ni nare from NHK 2012 and I was struck by the expressiveness in all his movements. Also, he immediately shifted from the melancholic-yet-hopeful aura of HNN to PW’s rebellious bad boy vibe xD (But seeing him do the pistols pose in the HNN costume was the best combination!) Really, I’m so glad I discovered Hanyu back in 2018. Now I get the chance to relive all his achievements while he’s still competing.

My personal favourite with regards to comments that have aged well is, “He’s gonna be a real contender for gold at the Olympics! He might not win at Sochi, but the next one will definitely be his!”😂😂

So I rewatched some of Yuzu’s older programs, the ones from Nebelhorn 2011 and CoR 2011 and the main thing that struck me was... Some of the stands were empty. That’s so funny, looking back at it now because literally any comp Yuzu attends gets sold out😂 (is it a sign of what’ll happen when he retires👀👀 serves ISU right)

It’s so weird bumping into another LOGH fan here! For some reason, when I saw Yuzu’s seimei costume I was reminded of Reinhard’s flowing white cape and black uniform...😅

I kind of hope we’ll get to see a new costume for Chopin/Seimei but it probably won’t happen because the switch seems pretty sudden...
