Whelp Tokyo Olympics is postponed by one year (so far).

Okay I'm gonna preface this by saying that I didn't know that Yuzu liked Bump of Chicken. Maybe I knew and forgot. Or maybe I didn't know who they were before and so the name didn't register with me in the past. Anyway I stumbled onto the band in the past year or so and listen to their stuff all the time (even tho my Japanese is very poor.) . Last night I thought I'd take a break from skating stuff and do something different and just picked a random Bump performance on bilibili to play in the background and ..... 5 seconds in I swear I heard Yuzu's name??? I think "It can't be. You're eharing things. You've completely lost the plot. You know you're in Yuzu overload when you hear his name everywhere." Except.... it was Yuzu. I'd somehow managed to pick that show from 2015(?) with Yuzu in the blue kimono. Yeah even when I'm taking a break my subconscious is just drawn right back in.

Honestly... I hate to say it but I'm relieved that its cancelled. I know Yuzu is young and in great shape but I was still so worried about him being exposed to the virus what with his asthma and all. Wishing everyone stays safe and healthy.

I wonder what happens with the silly ISU gala awards thing. Will we get some sad streamed awards like when the oscar nominees are announced? Maybe they'll just give up on the idea all together or at least rework it into a separate thing that doesn't impede on the gala performances.

On the one hand obviously disappointing that we don't get to see our boy anymore this season, but on a positive note Yuzu can get an early start on his summer break and have some much deserved rest. Even more so if the summer shows get postponed. He will have more time to decompress, get in a new mindset and hopefully whip up some really awesome fresh programs for next season.

Pics can be photoshopped sure but how would you photoshop live tv, like in comps? He does have the very occasional blemish, but also fantastic bone structure.

Well there was that soccer game in Milan played with zero spectators. Who knows? Incidentally, I was reading Twitter tonight for the first time in..... ages and it looks like Nomura Mansai-san is having to cancel/postpone some engagements. But then Japan and Italy are being harder hit than Canada at the moment. Hoping things get better soon. Stay safe folks.

Uhhhh Brian's hand....is a bit low there. Brian probably doesn't realize it, seeing as he's in shoes and Yuzu gains a couple of inches from the skates. Must do further analysis, because scienece.

Nomura-san was asked about this but he just kinda laughed it off. Tbf it was months and he probably didn't want to commit himself without knowing Yuzuru's availability or interest. But I would be very surprised if Yuzuru wasn't asked to participate in some way given his popularity and given the way Yuzuru totally fan boyed over Nomura-san I think he would find it very hard to say no to anything his idol asked of him.

First off, just wanna say I loved the programs myself, just to be clear. But I've thought about others past responses and wondered if maybe the fact that they are tribute pieces isn't part of the problem. I can't hear Origin without thinking Plushy and someone (usually Johnny himself ) has to bring up the connection during Otonal. And you add in last years tribute costumes and they seemed like the ideas weren't as fresh and original to Yuzu's identity maybe? I would think of Chopin and Seimei as Yuzu performing his own greatest hits whereas Otonal and Origin give more of a tribute band or wedding singer. I mean a really kick a** cover band but still. AFAIK Onmyouji hadn't been used prior to yuzu and while chopin is of course classical music I don't think of it as being connected to one single performer and so he could make it his own. IDK just my random musings.

It might be a bit premature though. We don't know if it's only for 4cc or if he's doing worlds that way as well.... and also I really love this season's costumes! Please don't take my babies away.

I kind of figured. Yuzu is the ultimate in clickbait as far as Japan goes. No shade to them. Just business as usual.

I'm not really seeing what would be to gain at this point. Otonal is great. He may be still revamping Origin but even if it's still a work in progress this field (barring major catastrophes) shouldn't really be a challenge for him. If it was me I'd be viewing 4cc as a dress rehearsal of a new layout for worlds. So I'm still leaning towards mistake.

Could just be some promo piece for the build up to 4cc. Trying not panic. LoL I was okay thinking we had a couple of days for info and now that it hours I'm nervous. Go figure. What this boy does to me.

IIRC Spain only has four medals in the winter Olympics....total...across all winter sports. Javi, a snow boarder and two skiers. Spain just isn't big on winter sports. Now football/soccer is another matter. Which is all to say Javi should be pretty far up there as far as Spanish winter athletes is concerned. But what do I know?

Yeah, judging from some practice vids, at most he'd probably only manage a thin moustache. I think he's said he doesn't even shave every day? Javi's got him beat there.

Thank you so much for this. I've been wanting to learn more about ghislain. Unfortunately when I try to google him I fall down the rabbit hole of endless yuzu k&c or practice videos. Not a bad way to spend the day.
