For those still looking for rooms it looks like a queen room at the Carey centre on the UBC campus has opened up. I am only seeing the availability on their website which I linked to in an earlier post. It is $112 a night and if anyone wants to share it is still showing the 1-bedroom suite available as well which has a bedroom with queen and a sleep sofa in the living room.

I am fairly new to this forum and don’t usually post but figured I might be able to help someone else. We ended up booking a 1- bedroom suite at the Carey center UBC. It is 0.9 miles away and supposed to be a 15-20 min walk. Booking.com had queen rooms that were half the cost but now are booked solid. You could keep checking booking.com for it to pop back available which I have seen a couple of times. Now all that is available is another 1 bedroom suite. For the suite I had to book on their website (https://live.carey-edu.ca/) It’s not available on booking.com. It is a very flexible cancellation policy and I believe they don’t charge until you get there. I haven’t seen any charges yet. It is pricey for just one person unfortunately but if there is someone that wants to split the cost it could work for someone. It is definitely the closest I could find that is still available. We are three people so it worked out well for us.
