  1. you mean from Chopin? lol, i don't think he can do it tbh Aw that's very sweet. IMO Yuna was the better skater in ways that Mao couldn't really control (better technique on jumps), but Mao was always treated very unfairly.
  2. lol, i got him muted, but thanks for the share
  3. That is so true. Not getting called once or twice at non-major events or a GP does not mean you'll magically get away with the URs. And it seems that particular filmed attempt would be too easy to call.
  4. anyway i'm so proud of yuzu, he graduated (or is graduating?) finally congratulations it must have taken so much effort and time and that is such a great topic of research. he must have collected tons of data
  5. his mind lol is it an undergrad or masters thesis? lol do undergrads need to write theses nowadays??! that just it extra obvious how he must be hypter aware of all the faults in the judging system and how biased/backwards it is. what's most surprising to me is how he handles it with so much grace when he's the one most affected by it. i know we hardly have a tenth of that grace when we see the injustice (for good reason...IMO), and we're not even the ones skating.
  6. aiight i did the honors. the twitter video had surprisingly many frames. https://imgur.com/a/rXyhIfE Takeoff 3Lz (90° PR, normal amt) Landing 3Lz (between 90° and 180° UR) Takeoff 3Lo (180° PR, normal amt) Landing 3Lo (around 180° UR) tl;dr: not really her best jump in either the lutz or the loop
  7. do you think he gets them thrown on the ice? lmao do you think he even goes through his pile of presents at the end of each competition to see if there's something he could use, or he just donates it all?
  8. many, but they're all the same color? LOL
  9. It's often a balance; going slower makes it easier to control like Fay said but you'd have to compensate by muscling more or swinging your arms more to get the momentum...whereas going fast means you get the momentum effortlessly but it's way harder to get the timing right. you're more likely to, say, pop the jump or just not be able to do it at all of course skaters know this but learning to time your muscles to milliseconds precision is not something all of them can do
