i expected nothing less this is the only regret,that it should've ended on a different note,but he is free now from the vile rotten cesspool that is ISU,the way he's been treated over the last few years has been utterly nasty and despicable,and all the people who did this to him are not seeing heaven i can tell you that. Imagine doing that to a once in a lifetime phenomenon whom you were lucky enough to have him grace your sport...i'm so glad he finally got the strength to break off from this abusive environment even if he's now at the peak of his skating and could've easily continued to compete and collect some medals even despite their heinous scoring. i saw a comment in the chat of the live-stream i was watching that said "i'm glad that he's chosen to put his mental health above everything" and,given what he was subjected to these last few years,i couldn't agree more with that. and i just know he will continue to do well and be successful in his endeavours whatever those might be,bc he's not only the GOAT of figure skating but also an extraordinary human being. I will support him forever

because baseball is hugely popular in Japan,and i think that Shohei Otani has been having some amazing achievements in that sport for the last few years

we're entering JSF's mediocre,irrelevant,bankrupt era But Shoma has never had the achievements and relevance that Yuzuru has,and even so,as the Olympics came, JSF was back throwing their whole weight behind him soooo..... Didier may be trash but i'm absolutely convinced that if he had had a skater like Yuzu,he would've fought ISU judges in a parking lot for him....in fact pretty much every other fed than JSF would've gone to extreme lengths for him,Hashimoto and her JSF minions are not seeing heaven.... i was just thinking last night how it wasn't at all emphasized or,in fact,barely mentioned that Yuzuru did Olys,4A challenge etc ALONE,after 2 whole years of training ALONE. If it was anyone else,essays/commentaries of thousands of words would've been written on this subject. But i'm always of the opinion that it's better alone than in bad company and if this Olys did something,that was to clearly show(to anyone who didn't know/accept it yet) what a viper pit the fs environment really is,and not only isu,feds,some coaches/skaters,but also too many journalists and tv commentators,and what a gargantuan task is for an upright extraordinary person to be successful outside of their backdoor shady dealings,and to keep their integrity and kindness in such a place bc the system is out to get persons like that. this is one of the reasons why it's absolutely vile and unforgivable and why i said he's cancelled (smth that i don't say easily) and why i hope that fanyus won't ever forget it. When the incident happened the one who wasn't a skater was like ''Wah,what a mistake how" and the one who was a skater immediately said there wasn't a mistake,but that Yuzu's blade definitely must've been caught in a hole in the ice,incredible bad-luck....and he said that right there on spot while Yuzu was continuing his performance,without even seeing a reply,without seeing an ACTUAL HD PICTURE of the hole that the entire world has now seen......enough said btw if anyone plans to interact with/drag Fernandez on twitter when he will tweet smth,don't do it in his replies,do it in his quote retweets. Because i've heard that QRTs don't count for engagement (not absolutely sure if that's true,but why not do it this way in case that's how it is). Ofc that goes not only for Fernandez but also for other vicious clowns (iSu,H*rsh,T$L etc),it's better to hit them where it hurts them the most.(and by this i'm NOT suggesting you should go drag him/these ppl. Personally,i prefer the way of giving them zero engagement unless absolutely necessary,but i know that fans are rightfully angry right now,and some folks won't be able to hold themselves back no matter what,so in that case at least do it in his qrts and he won't be able to benefit from it.)

What Fernandez said is not surprising in the least to anyone who has read/listened to his interviews (especially those in Spanish) for the Spanish/western press vs his interviews for Japanese media for years. It was pretty clear long time ago how two faced and bitter he is and tbh to me he reeked of envy re: Yuzu's popularity and monetary gains in particular. I mean the man has literally said they are not friends/not close,but fs fandom loves to romanticize skaters and the ~friendships~ between them,a term that is used super loosely. The figure skating world has always been an environment full of snakes,envy,bitterness,nastiness,abuse etc and now ppl are ShOcKEd when they are slowly,but surely confronted with these realities. There is a reason why Yuzuru has kept himself very distant from these ppl,but gullible fans see two skaters interacting for whatever reason for a few moments and decide they are Bffs for life despite there being very little evidence to it,on the contrary even when there's actually proof that such friendships/closeness doesn't really exist. I'm sorry,but i do want Yuzu to see this. It will hurt maybe (altho i kind of think that he already knows Fernandez's deal by now,B*ston was a taste of this and he surely realized some things then),but it is necessary to be fully aware of how some ppl really are and to really stay away from them. There must be some fairly decent folks among the figure skaters too ofc,but only naive ppl can think that there are many real friendships especially at the top between ppl who are competing in the same discipline. Fanyus should understand that in such a world Yuzuru is gonna attract insane jealousy and bitterness bc he really is THE ONLY ONE who actually has amazing career accomplishments combined with big monetary gain and the cherry on top is the massive unprecedented adoration he receives from fans. Even in other environments that would be enough to bring out the worst in ppl,and it's particularly to be expected in figure skating world. There's a reason why they say it's lonely at the top. There's a special place in hell for those who kick you when you're down,i want fanyus to never forget what this man did when his mask was off. Fernandez is officially cancelled BYE

lol,yeah,no way Javi deserved his bronze because he actually deserved silver and was robbed. And i'm saying this as someone who's never even been Javi's fan. Somehow i bet this person you're talking about knows shit about fs scoring,just like so many others among N*than's fans. You should've told them how,if not for his passport,he would've not even been in the FP at all and how by being there he robbed the place of a deserving athlete from a country with no political power in figure skating. He and his team are definitely aiming for the super patriotic crowd and conservative women,the T*L-watching,NA-centric (fs) forums-posting type of fans,you can see them in the replies of his "apology" tweet saying that he's such a great person and how they fully accept his "apology" as if it is their place to accept it,or worse,patting him on the back and saying he didn't have to apologize bc he didn't do anything wrong to begin with (way to expose themselves as obtuse ignorant bigots and not helping his case at all <3). And bc that is his crowd and who he really cares about,the "apology" is half-assed and sounds insincere to many ppl - it's just lip-service to prevent the cRazY fANyUs from keep bringing up this issue to a point it may snowball and,if it reaches more general activist places,transform into a potential pr shit-storm which will clash with his carefully crafted ivy-league educated (lol) good-boy image,especially during Oly Season. I'm so grateful that i have the taste to stan the most graceful and sparkly man bc if i had stanned for this over-privileged ~oppressed~ straight-bro,right now it would have been painfully embarrassing to be associated with him or with his fan-crowd who's trying to gaslight a group of ppl who are already facing so much struggles and discrimination in their life day by day and have every right to feel hurt,upset and not willing to forgive him that easily.

wasn't NHK said to be the competition where the champion of Japan has de facto priority regardless of any other usual factors/rules? And if that champion of Japan happens to be ratings-magnet Yuzuru Hanyu.....I mean they did choose ppl other than even the worlds gold medalist if that medalist presence was not compatible with whom they really wanted at their competition in the past so why not now,especially if the pandemic still goes on and the travelling and additional quarantine complicates things.

Meanwhile on youtube Oly Seimei has recently reached and surpassed 14 millions views. Let's keep watching,the 3 years anniversary is fast approaching!
