Deleted. I just wanna forget about NBC at this point
-
Man NA media is SOOOO salty. I was watching Olympic ice on NBC and it looked like Scott Hamilton would rather die before calling Yuzu the GOAT. I get that it's his opinion but I'm rather peeved that he said he would consider it if Yuzu won 3 OGM, and kept bringing up that he lost the free. It REALLY bothers me that they attribute the change in skating solely Nathan. Nathan has been senior for 2 seasons, less than Boyang and Shoma. He only has records in the quad count. Yuzu, Javi, Boyang and Shoma have changed the landscape, not Nathan. Only thing Nathan did was bring up the issue of multiple quads. You know I may be biased cuz I like Yuzu, but I like how Tanith handled it, she had a nice balance of Yuzu and Nathan, while I feel Scott just only wanted to talk about Nathan. I feel this olympics really made me lose respect for the sportsmanship of Scott, Tara and Johnny (atleast the ice dancer commentators aren't that bad).

Japan's next and last gold medal hope is Nao Kodaira in the 500m. I wonder if she doesn't win (Which I REALLY want her to win or atleast medal) if Yuzu will get another solo parade.

They are going to need a bigger board soon, because Javi still has to be added!
-
Am I the only one that feels now he might skate to PW in the ex...Like it how he did at Sochi, it would bring this Olympic cycle full circle.

Twitter is trending at 1.17M for Hanyu-kun

2 time OLYs champ!!!

Just something I saw floating around on the GS boards that I thought was interesting. They said that USFS after these Olympics might considering asking Orser to coach Nathan (if he continues skating...). Especially when Javi is retiring, IF they were, do you think Orser would take it? He already has 3 top students (Yuzu, Cha and maybe Gogolev). How would you guys feel about it? On one hand, I know he would ask Yuzu first like he did with Javi (to avoid the whole Yuna situation), but still...

Does anyone know if there will be a live stream of the practices?
-
If people didn't know he was an athlete, I would think he was some sort of prince with those guards and his presence!
-
OT but they use music from a great movie called Chihayaburu. One of the ost that I wish someone would skate to!
-
Literally a ninja...I haven’t been keeping up, but I hope Yuzu is healing and having a nice holidays!!! I don’t think he will go to 4cc but I do feel he will do the team SP

Happy birthday Yuzu! May all your dreams and wishes come true!
-
Not to mention, the past 5 years have been won by a Japanese man (Dai - 12, Yuzu - 13,14,15,16)
-
Well to be fair, they spelled Evgenia's name wrong too...
-
So he is staying in Sendai for the 10 days and then returning? Sounds good to me, let him be with family
-
Let them, Yuzu will break it right back at the Olympics But really, I hate that without the 3 guys, there is no standard to what real skating looks like and no bar to measure PCS...
-
He seems fired up, he will get his revenge for sure
-
To be honest, if it was broadcast, it would probably get more viewers than the actual mens comp at GPF...
-
Oh I wonder where the picture went?

https://headlines.yahoo.co.jp/hl?a=20171112-00000065-dal-spo Picture of ninja Yuzu with crutch^ http://www.asahi.com/articles/SDI201711127125.html Kobayashi indicating Yuzu is in good spirits and making jokes

Finally News! JN is in 6 weeks, that's enough time right?
-
Oh I didn’t know JSF took all the banners down is it just me or did JSF get a new president? I don’t remember the current one at last years NHK...
-
I understand that it would be stupid of JSF not to send Yuzu to the Olympics, but I still think he should compete if he can (Unlike 2016 when he was sick, if he can skate by then then he should)...I would feel bad for the other skaters who showed up. In that way, I don't want Yuzu to get special treatment.

you know, as much as we panic on the planet, I really am grateful this community exists. None of my friends or family care about skating, so when I want to tell someone about Yuzu (including his injuries) everyone just brushes me off or tells me its not that important (which it obviously is to me). Sometimes I get really sad and lonely because I can't talk to anyone about the stuff I like but here, you are all so welcoming and nice! Thanks The past 2 days have been painful and I'm sure more are to come, but I'm glad I'm not alone!
