Yess, the younger skaters need to step up. Japan has been relying on Yuzu for around 7 years now. And in the last 6 years of his participation at WC, he only missed the podium once and he literally skated with flu. For the kpop question: I am a kpop fan so this is my take. In 2014, Yuzu literally was a bomb. Like he was super popular on twitter after his team event sp performance and even more popular after he broke the world record. And guess what? Twitter is the home base of kpop fans. Also, yes he looks so different than kpop idols but his lean body is super similar. He also looks cute. Kpop fans adore aegyo (acting cute) and well i guess Yuzu kinda fits in that category if u don’t really pay attention to his actual athlete life. Also, this might be super sensitive but in Kpop, there is this big thing of being androgynous and leads to this imagination of gay couple between the boy group members. I don’t really want to talk more into details about this bc I feel like this is one of the thing I still find it hard to comprehend. But yeah, Yuzu has this baby face, cute looks, he also has lean body type and well outside his “I MUST WIN” “I WILL SACRIFICE ANYTHING” and “KUYASHII” things, he basically has this cute boy next door attitudes and personality. And all these qualities, really attract kpop fans.

Well, can’t I? I mean what I learned this past few days was that the whole TCC team were the lying liars for the greater goal. However, the goal was achieved already and Yuzu opened up about his injury himself. He said that anything wasn’t confirmed bc he didn’t check his ankle yet, and his ankle was in a state where doing jump was a no no. However, he took his rest day, was super happy the whole practice and basically a jumping bunny during the practice time like someone said here. Thus, can’t I be optimistic?

You know, I think Yuzu is bringing Pooh today at practice bc he is getting tired with the media asking him about Pooh hahaha like he’s basically says “here, Pooh san, he’s the reason of the Pooh-valanche, other question please”
