  1. I'm not sure I understand what happened, but I'll tell you what my experience was. I bought access to the livestream and saw "Success." I learned later that no code is sent and there is no "ticket." Ten minutes before the show started, I went to the page that said "Success," reloaded it, and saw a button saying "Enter." I clicked on it and was immediately at Saitama. As for the archive, I also purchased that. VOD literally means Video on Demand, and I think it doesn't work now because the show is not yet archived and available. Wait until the 14th, when BeyondLive said it would be available. Things should be clearer then. I'm so sorry you missed the show because of a misunderstanding! I had the same initial reaction you did, because when we used Global Code, we got a code we used to access the livestream. So I asked someone on Twitter, and they responded.
  2. Thanks, everyone! It was my pleasure to create this banner to celebrate Yuzu's 1-yr anniversary as a pro athlete! I can't wait to see what he does next.
  3. What if it was an early rendition of the costume for Haru? Why he was wearing it there, I have no idea, but I see similarities. Maybe that high collar simply didn't work out.
  4. I haven't been to an ice show, but from everything I've read, it's cold there because they have to keep the ice frozen. I always see people wearing "lap blankets" in the front seats, too, as well as heavy jackets/coats and even gloves. I think people arrive a little early just because they're excited to see Yuzu, but if you have a ticket, you should be able to walk right in when they open. I suggest calling the venue, or checking out their online site, for more information.
  5. I was joking. Hence the smiley face. I understood what you meant. A phoenix, after all, dies and rises from the ashes, newly reborn, young and strong again. One never knows the changes destruction can bring about, for good or ill. History is full of examples on both sides.
  6. Something needs to shake up the old guard, though I wouldn't wish for an all-consuming fire.
  7. The sad thing is that, even if we're pleased at this retribution for what they did to Yuzu, figure skating overall will suffer. Rinks will close, fewer people will choose competitive skating as a possible career choice. It will become harder for the next really good skater to get backing or be noticed. Yuzu may be the last great skater to be widely known and (justly) celebrated. Who do they have today? Not much. The last competitive season was unimpressive, which was reflected in anemic ticket sales. Will ISU learn from this? Who knows?
  8. Sitting through two hours of other skaters, plus Heart and Soul on repeat, for four minutes of Yuzu. I don't doubt every one of us thought it worthwhile, but yikes! Brutal it was.
  9. I didn't know this! Thanks for the information. The sand must add a slightly cushioning effect, I would guess. Clever idea!
  10. I suggest you ask an admin if it can be done. I'm fairly new myself, so I can't give you a proper answer.
  11. Last year, right after Beijing. I'll be forever grateful, too.
  12. "Neophyte Fanyu" might be better. As long as you love and support Yuzu, you're already the real thing. Welcome!
  13. It's as close to Yuzu as some of them can get. They also bring Poohs and other things, set them up by his skates, and take pictures. It's sweet.
  14. The biggest, most important erogenous zone in the human being is the brain. When Yuzu wields his, he's dangerous.
  15. He is that! Thanks! There's nothing a photographer likes to hear more than that their pictures make others feel something good. P.S. I would give anything to be able to photograph Yuzu. Nothing would make me happier.
  16. Last year, right after Beijing (which I hadn't watched because I'd fallen out of the habit of viewing the Olympics!). It's the best, most rewarding click-bait I ever followed down a rabbit hole. Finding out he was brilliant and a sweetheart of a human being sealed the deal.
  17. I blame YouTube for my Yuzu addiction. They kept recommending I watch some guy in a sparkly purple costume. Didn't even realize at that time he was a figure skater. But after the third or fourth time, I clicked on the link... and that was it. I watched him skate and fell in love. I'd stopped watching male figure skaters several decades previously out of boredom. Yuzu did not bore me. Not one bit! I knew instantly he was different, special, and I was right. My favorite short program: Chopin, especially CC2020. Favorite FS? Depends on my mood, but I'm partial to Origin 2.0 and Seimei. I love the version he did at GIFT, but I'll watch any of them.
  18. He's still young. While he has exceptionally good skin, most people look pretty good well into their 30s unless they bake in the sun or smoke.
  19. You make some good points, and that's why I liked your post. I can see you've given this some thought. I also think you may be right about why NC headed back to school. As far as Malinin goes, I doubt he will eclipse Yuzu at any point, despite the 4A. I don't think anyone will, because Yuzu is a singular human being and skater. He was born for the ice, and he's also an innovator. He continues to break new ground and push boundaries. He will certainly be remembered for his numerous wins during his competitive years, including the two Olympic gold medals and the Super Slam, among other things. And now he's putting together events that amaze and astound people all over the world. He'll continue to expand on that. But aside from all that (whew! he's accomplished a lot!), he's a wonderful person, with charm and charisma to spare. He's always respectful of others, and he's one of the kindest, most generous people I've had the pleasure of following. I wish I knew him in reality, but that will never happen. The "typical American teenager" is lacking in grace and humility, and I wonder if he'll ever acquire it. I'll be honest: I don't think much of him so far. Maybe in time he'll win me over, but he'll have to work hard to do it. I'm an American; I don't embrace him just because we share a country. I do embrace Yuzu, however, because of who and what he is. I don't think Malinin has a chance of winning me over to his side.
  20. If you go to KKTIX, sign in, and click on Tickets, you will find the code there.
  21. I suggest googling it. You might find the answer there. And oh no! How terrible you had to miss the live streaming because Windows was acting like a jerk.
  22. That new YT video runs over six minutes! His energy and stamina have greatly increased. I agree that hydroblade was jaw-droppingly beautiful. He has amazing core strength.
  23. They want America. The way I did it was to plug America into DeepL and ask for the Chinese translation. You have the correct Chinese characters. Just type America into the field below it.
  24. Here's a tip if you're going to shoot pics from a magazine. Notice the glare on some of the photos? If you're using a flash, wrap tissue or even a paper towel around the flash; it diffuses the light so you won't get that. You might have to experiment a little, but it really helps.
  25. I saw a video of him skating yesterday. He's pretty good. It'll be interesting to see how he develops over the next couple of years.
