  1. Lol. I wonder how come they carried Canon camera with them!? Anyway, great efforts done!! Once again, I'm crossing my fingers for your best of luck!!!
  2. Lol. BTW, I wonder if your student took that photo by his smartphone? If so, perhaps you can ask him to send the photo to your address or at least to let you have a look at it. It's worth trying, because it is highly possible that the photo was taken by smartphone, because they happened to meet Yuzuru.
  3. I'd just like to inform you that Ms Natsuko Toda's mistranslation is pointed out very seriously. This is just for your reference: http://arda.saloon.jp/blog/toda/ * Incidentally, Mr. Kanji Hayashi, whose name appears on this site, is a Japanese subtitle translator who I admire most. His most admirable work should be the subtitle for "Clockwork Orange". I'm deeply sorry to say I'm a professional translator for over 30 years. And I don't feel any shame in asking for native speakers' help for basic daily English, because, after all, I am not a native speaker. I created an English Study thread also for others who are too shy to ask for English help on other threads. This is all what I want to say. Now time to switch off. Fire extinguisher, please. And I'll jump off to my futon!!!
  4. Luckily for Japanese learners, Yuzuru talks in clear cut standard accent. The problem is it's usually so fast! We Japanese fans love Sendai adverb ジャス (pronounced "jasu"). It's only used in Miyagi Prefecture. ジャス is short for ジャージ. ジャージ in Japanese means "jersey", but usually refers to gym uniforms or track suits. We use ジャス like ”ゆづのANAジャスかっこいいよね!!” (= Yuzu's ANA jasu is cool)
  5. Ahh, first of all you have to do something to g** r*d *f Ms. Natsuko Toda!!!!! (She is not an interpreter, she's a cinema subtitle translator whose mistakes are often pointed out on Twitter.) It might be because of New Orleans also had French influences ... (just joking)
  6. As the pictures have many dots, most probably it was from FaOI official pamphlet.
  7. He talked for 5 minutes on end, and just as he finished talking, the MC lady said, "So our time is up and we have to ...", which means he deprived the remaining two athletes' interview time. That's why he apologised with his head flat on the table!
  8. Brush brush, I was imaging something ... more ... erotic.
  9. Most probably the decision is up to Disney Head Office in U.S. not Japan Disney. But it's a quite good idea Disney sponsoring the Olympics!!
  10. Completely agreed!! And thank you so much for sharing a valuable experience!! Instant Swedish interpreter!! Shiver.
  11. I suppose another top-class figure skaters may be drinking it, who can endure its hideous taste!! Hmmmmmmm. I have no idea what you are trying to convey... (shrugs)
