Wow!!! But were those fully rotated + landed on one foot? Haven’t seen any videos so we don’t know. But Yuzu is a perfectionist and I trust him when he says he “hasn’t landed it yet (=perfect landing) in practice.” But goodness he’s so close! edit: there’s just so much behind the scene that we don’t know😭

Agreed! Actually I used to be very curious about how Yuzu’s performance + reaction from the audience (cheers, Pooh rains, etc.) would impact other skaters, because he is just sooooo popular, the absolutely most brilliant star on ice, and since competition is also much about psychology, other skaters will definitely feel pressured upon witnessing Yuzu’s moment and the incredible atmosphere…I think Pyeongchang 2018 is just a good example. That’s also why I hate the current pandemic…leaving an interactive performer unable to draw energy up from the crowd…but yes, there’s no “but if” and the hole was there in the ice and we could do nothing about it. I’d rather take it as a miracle, a trial in the disguise of misfortune. I’m a figure skater amateur so supposedly I’m not qualified to say this, but I do think he’s been improving a lot in the past four years and Rondu + Tenchi + other programs he performed at other TV shows are just amazing. Much calmer, more focused, a stronger command of the scene, attention to every detail, more stamina… *start saving money for 2030 winter holiday* And now the only thing that worries me is his ankle. 🙏🙏🙏

Oh yes you're absolutely right!!! And we haven't even seen the final form of Tenchi, either! You know, with a ratified 4A!!!!!!!!!

As a new fan it's just wonderful to see how Yuzu's been improving over the years, comparing his performances of the same program, such as Parisienne Walkways 2014 Sochi vs PW 2019 Skate Canada. In my opinion Rondo is by far No.1 in terms of skating skills. It could have been an Olympic classic if it hadn't been for that bad luck. Tenchi is also great in composition (one of my favorites❤️). The man is still at his very best (despite the recently-injured ankle). Many people just forgot that.

Wow! If Sapporo wins the bid, let's meet in Hokkaido then! 8 yrs for me to say bye to COVID-19+learn Japanese😂+make travel plans. I just don't know in what capacity he will attend the event. As an athlete (representative) ? Yes. But also as a host? A commentator? A coach? Or the mascot😂? Anyway, he'll be the center of attention, for sure! I remember last year when he didn't show up at the Tokyo Olys Opening Ceremony, my friends and I were so disappointed. Edit: He giggles "hehehe~" as if telling a joke, but I can feel he really loves the Olympics and skating.😢Sochi the advent of a star, Pyeongchang a sparkling dream, Beijing -- hope it only left him with "crystal memories."

The certification vs ratification thing did confuse a lot of non figure skating audience. As far as I know, certify is not even a recognized term in figure skating, but many think it is and get lost in translation. I believe in Yuzu that this 4A<(q?fall) is his best attempt so far. I hope that I can watch Yuzu land a ratified 4A live one day!

As a new fan I find Yuzuru's nicknames very cute. "Yuzu" is the most common one I've seen. There's also "Yuzy," "Zuzu," "little mushroom from Sendai." And more!😄

One of my cousins live in Beijing and she said it was a shame that because of COVID-19, most C-fanyus couldn't be there cheering for him + no pooh rains when he was competing. She hopes that Yuzu could come to China again for competitions or ice shows, and Chinese fans will give him the warmest welcome + greatest pooh rains. 😢

😃(btw China’s national college entrance examination is scheduled to take place this June and a lot of students will write about him in their essays.) Glad to see more and more people know him and get inspired by him. ✨

I have watched Yuzu's presscon after PC for many times. I just love watching him talk. My brother, who is not a fanyu, also loves watching his interviews. Yuzu is so eloquent (the logical mind, manners, calm...) AND sincere. My brother said that even people who didn't feel emotionally connected with Yuzu's performances would be deeply moved by his interviews. The Feb 14 one is also great. I believe Yuzu will stand out even in other fields.

Thank you for sharing this vid! I really appreciate it when Yuzu performs his art on ice with NO JUMPS or with only a 3A and a DELAYED SINGLE OPEN AXEL, which to me is a demonstration of his philosophy of figure skating and a refusal to conform to the “standardized figure skating industry.” I feel so proud of him. There are good skaters and there is Yuzu the genius. There are high-score programs and there is passion and art. 🥰

Videos are all Yuzu-centered.) ❤️45K Yuzu videos + 650M views in total ❤️60+ Videos above 1M views (20+ of them were uploaded this month.) ❤️Mostly viewed video: A compilation of Yuzu’s selected programs (mostly clean but there's also 2016 GPF Let's Go Crazy😝) Views: 12.5M+ ❤️2014 COC (in China) FS Phantom of the Opera: 2.1M+ views. I think many Chinese friends got to know Yuzu and became fanyu because of this event…Special memories for both Yuzu and the Chinese audience…

I was kind of mad about that too.😂 Anyway, since Yuzu got 4A< this Olys, I hope the judges won’t ratify someone else’s less perfect attempt as 4A<, 4Aq, or even 4A. Otherwise I’ll get really mad. If they’re very strict with Yuzu, they should score other skaters in the same way.
