After reading Ghislain's interview, I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes Yuzu's main coach instead of Orser. I noticed Yuzu rarely talks about Orser these days. Maybe he might make a permanent shift to train under Ghislain exclusively? Wouldn't be surprised if that happened. Either way, I hope Yuzu goes back to train in Canada when he can. It would be better to have a coach

Before the arrival of NC I did not know that USF had that much power in ISU. Their ladies weren't strong for a while so I thought NC wouldn't be marked for his nationality, but I think around 2019 I started to notice things that were blatantly obvious. I think what broke this prejudice for me was 2019 GPF when I clearly look back at Yuzu landing the most perfect 4Lz and 4Lo in his free and landing most of his other jumps well but still lost. I am kind of shocked that NC is invited to all these late night talk shows all of a sudden it's like USF even has power on the US mass media, like not all gold medalists are invited to Jimmy Kimmel, but NC was. I am starting to finally realize that although figure skating is a minor sport, the power it has in US is different, and the I can tell that the US has been waiting for a men's champion for a long time, and now that they have finally got one, I can only imagine how much they will downplay Yuzu more so in the future. The more Yuzu continues skating, the more of a threat he is to their entire narrative. I think the next seasons that Yuzu continues skating will be even harder on Yuzu and on us because of this.

So he's not going back to TCC? I thought he would get a coach after the olympics... or maybe he doesn't want to live in Canada anymore?

It also is due to the fact that not many singles figure skaters attended 3 olympic cycles back to back without a season of rest and be in medal contention for all of them. That is a rare thing. Like the gillis grafström and sonja henie type of rare business we are talking about here. We probably won't see this type of madness and shade for another what 50 years in figure skating, because I doubt any singles figure skater can survive 3 olympic cycles at the top. People and competitors are bound to attack an achievement so rare and unrivaled in this sport. The only reasons maybe the Russian ladies have been so kind to Yuzuru's reputation is because they were never in direct competition to Yuzu in the first place. Hence why I don't believe adopting 2 skaters in the same discipline is realistic if they are in competition for the same medal. I almost wish Yuzu had never gone to these olympics for various reasons like the amount of hate Yuzu is getting from Yahoo Japan comments and such, but in the end who cares about those haters, who have nothing extraordinary and special in their lives than to attack their national hero. I hope Yuzu never reads twitter or Japanese anti comments and just shows us artistry on ice. I almost want him done with competition at this point, but a part of me wishes to see him until Milano.

At the end of the day we have to just accept his former competitors and his current competitors and their fans really do not have his best interests at heart. Remember how snarky P Chiddy used to be about Yuzu? Heck I've even seen Jun Hwan fans in K forums going after Yuzu's personality even though Jun and Yuzu are not even on the same rivalry level. It's just competing sports mentality: go after everyone at the very top to feel better about yourself as a competitor and as the competitor's fan. And on the subject of the hole, we have photo proof so this should be a closed issue. There was a hole. The only people that don't say snarky things about Yuzu is the Russian ladies, where although I disagree with doping, they do idolize Yuzu in a respectful way.

I'm guessing no ice shows in Japan for Yuzu this year because of omicron? Then we will get like a 7 month hiatus until ACI. I do think he will compete next season because he might feel kuyashii for losing the biggest event of the season.. and for other reasons. If next season is his last season, what a pity because next season will probably be no spectators again due to corona.

I hope he just has a season where he can focus on the artistry of his programs rather than on 4A. I love seeing him skate clean new beautiful programs with a healthy ankle.
-
I almost want him to restart the next 4 years without NC, and have NC focus on med school or something, so we can have fairer scoring in men's again
-
he's one of the few skaters that can still fit into costumes he wore like 8 years ago... lol

The main villain should be the ISU. The corruptness and black veil behind them lol. I hope a Fanyu is talented enough to make an anime like YOI but based on Yuzu. And the mini boss should be the JSF and a portion of the Japanese media. I hate a large portion of Japanese media and the psychological damage they have done to Yuzu over the last 4 years about how they always ask him after every frickin lost competition about why he couldn't beat NC blah blah, like they only expected perfection from since pyeongchang, I hope Yuzu declines interviews and media coverage whenever he wants to now, they don't help him psychologically speaking. And they also sometimes just ask rude inappropriate questions at the wrong time, not this time, but in the past, they have.

It was so cute how Yuzu said in the TV interview that before the Olympics he didn't want to eat processed food like chocolate and cup noodles and now that he can he's eating chocolate and cup noodles again and he is playing Animal Crossing on Nintendo Switch lol...

We better mentally prepare for a retirement just in case. Although I have no idea why he scheduled a solo interview and a press conference. 🤔 I wouldn't be surprised if he does retire. He was robbed of all then major titles for the last 4 years. 2019 Worlds Gold : definite robbery 2019 GPF Gold : robbery 2022 olympics bronze : robbery
-
What ISU did to him for the last 4 years of rewarding text book jumps with less GOE than Chen's bad jumps and so forth and ending it with a robbed bronze medal... man I just hope every fanyu stops buying tickets to go see men's events live when Yuzu retires just to show ISU how much profit Yuzu brought them for nearly 8 years.
-
I hope he just stops caring about Gold and jumps and just does amazing programs for the musicality and artistry. I would love to see him skate competitively like 2019 where he had less pressure on him after the Olympics were done.

I don't keep up with Yuzu's endorsements but is the Lotte Ghana Chocolate endorsement dead now? It's valentines day soon so just wondering.
