Can some veteran Fanyu teach me how to go through the stress of JNat and potentially coming Olympics. The latest interview from Yuzu looks very heavy for me, I can hardly watch it for a second time. I mean the coming 4A attempts, coming Olympics, risk of injury, insane pressure....I really need someone to tell me this is normal, this is Yuzu and we with him will totally be fine.
-
I actually don't wish him to have a squeaky clean skates this time. I wish him to have a clean enough performance just to win the championship but leave the most perfect and squeaky clean version in the Olympics!!! (I really think he is heading to Olympics with his participation in JNat).
-
I agree. So I bet the best case for Yuzu probably is still to debut Rondo. We will know in two or three days! So excited!
-
I am thinking about this as well. His program still undecided. If he debuts Rondo, he probably only has JNat and Olympic Group before Olympic Individual (but I guess it's still quite doable considering how LMEY went last year). If not Rondo, what else could it be? To me the most likely one is Otonal, which scored around or beyond 110 several times. But he may feel uncomfortable to reuse Otonal given "its not his own program" and the memories associated with the 19 WC and GPF loss. If it is LMEY again, I think it will be an upgraded (more difficult) version, e.g. 4T+3T in the second half (but it would be extremely hard for such a rock piece).

Just to give you a reference, for the JNats in 2017, Yuzu officially withdrew on 18 Dec, while the JNat opened on 21 Dec. I think we still have at least a week to wait to be more confident he will attend.

I have this question as well, CITIZEN would definitely make more money if Yuzu is the Global ambassador for CITIZEN or at least the ambassador for Japan. Imagine how quickly this Yuzu watch could be sold out in Japan. Then I checked, CITIZEN' s global ambassador is Naomi Osaka. Is it a luxury brand can only have one global ambassador? Then why not Japan? I have no idea. I believe it must be some complicated reasons behind why Yuzu ends up being the ambassador for greater China only.

This video shows well the kind of "rose gold" I was talking about previously !
-
I think one really needs to show "yellow gold" and "rose gold“ together in one picture under the same light to tell the difference. The official description is also rose gold. I don't think it is too pinkish (I don't like pinkish either), I think it's just standard rose gold. The aurora does look 3D. I personally like it very much, better than the previous one.

西铁城手表旗舰店日常-西铁城手表旗舰店-天猫Tmall.com This is the link for Tianmao CITIZEN shop, though I am not sure if you will see the same if you are outside China. I think international credit card (Master/Visa) is acceptable.

I ordered the new CITIZEN X YUZU watch successfully at 12:07:24 (the sale starts at 12:07:00)!!! I immediately re-checked the ordering page, it says "Out of Stock". What a competition! Basically, you need to fill up the ordering address beforehand, otherwise there is no way to buy it.

OMG, I never thought one of my all time favorite songs fits him so well. Indeed, "you are just like an angel, your skin makes me cry, you float like a feather in a beautiful world, I wish I was special, you are so fucking special".

I also see this as kinda of silver lining in the current situation. Last time pre-Olympics, Shoma and Nathan had a lot of media attention in the absence of Yuzu, which might give some peace to Yuzu to fully concentrate on himself. This time, since he is not that into Olympics anymore, it would be worse if all media pay all attention to him and push him to participate in Olympics. I also agree that Yuzu is more well-known than figure skating in China. Just take myself as an example, most of my friends (late 20s, early 30s, living in big cities) at least have heard of Yuzu, though they absolutely have zero knowledge of figure skating. I think Yuzu is even more well known in younger generations (teens and in early 20s). Chinese authority, Olympic Committee, official media love him. I am sure he will be well hosted if he comes to BJ.

I kinda of want him to skip Olympics too, though it means much more time to see him. His ankle definitely needs a lot of time to heal to resume the 4A practice. Competiting in Olympics (possible the JNat before) is sure to be detrimental to his body. I just want him to focus on his body and his ultimate dream 4A without distraction from media, JSF, even fans. His real fans can understand and wait. Once he is ready for 4A, make a glorious comeback. I don't think his career will end in the Worlds this season. For one thing, his body may not be ready for 4A this season. If I have to guess, I think it would be JNat next year or 2023 Worlds in Japan with home crowd after he debut 4A somewhere next GP series.

Shun is indeed No.1 fanboy! Parts related to Yuzu from a recent interview of Shun

The impulse behind us to see him in competition (no matter what competition) is because we just love him so much and we miss him so much, the emotional side tends to overcome the rational/calculated side sometimes. I think it is rather an easier decision to make to skip COR, compared with the Olympics. I try to think in his shoes (well, of course in the end only he knows), if going to another Olymics does more harm than good. It must be very very very tough for him so even now (less than two months left to decide) he does not indicate anything about Olympics, neither to JSF nor public. Remember in the press conference of 21 WC, he wished Nathan good luck in the Olympics. Personally, I tend to refrain myself from thinking too much of his chance going to Olympics, but keep faith in seeing Yuzu again, including his new SP/costume/and...4F.....AND 4A when the best time comes for Yuzu! just to survive the waves of expectation hyped by media as Olympics come closer.

I read some of the comments to this article, there is much debate over it. I feel if Yuzu really wants to go to Olympics, he will attend JNats even he is not in full capacity just to shut people up. But if he chooses not to attend JNat, I really think he might skip Olympics as well. Shun is likely to be the next in line to Olymics, which may be a motivational factor for Yuzu not to participate if he is hesitant. Well...personally I really want to see him live in Olympics in BJ (my hometown), but I completely understand the tough situation he is in. I just wish he achieves all he wants while not sacrificing too much. Always trust and support his decision.

Just a thought in my head about JNats and Olympic Team. Other than Yuzu, Shoma, Yuma, the next in line seems to be Shun, who has a very amicable relationship with Yuzu, and also from Sendai. Yuzu once said he started to notice Shun when he was very small, stilling fighting with double axel. And Shun is just a great fanboy of Yuzu, wearing the necklace given by Yuzu and asking for his autographies every time they are in the same show. If Yuzu is not interested in another Olympic, he might also think that it can be a good opportunity for Shun to get Olympic experience this time. I think it all depends on Yuzu's will to participate in this Olympic in the end. From JSF's perspective, I think they have higher motivation to push Yuzu to participate instead of the other way around, just thinking about the sponsors, Olymipic committee, public pressure. Olympics is a bigger game with politics outside JSF.
