  1. Hello, I am from Finland . Finnish national TV proadcasting company streamed the whole SP but unfortunately it is available only in Finland. I hope you will see your Frenchies on YT videos. I have to say that I also adore your ice dancers Over the years, I think French skaters always have had intresting programs. They are like Yuzuru, inventive and not ever compromizing the artistic aspect of figure skating.
  2. Thank you for your comment. I am desperately trying to make any sense of the figure skating scoring ...it looks like the rule book is just suggestive guide for the judges and they apply it in every competition according their current state of mind, so the scores can vary a lot from competion to another. Like yesterday's high scores in men's SP competition only tells that in this particular competiton these skaters did well and earned the scores they have, but it does not really reflect the real overall situation between skaters... I fully agree with Henni 147, CostanzaR.d'O and Roseline Winter about what they said on Twitter ....so well said https://twitter.com/CostanzaRdO/status/1506361422107885574?t=d7wndDMGVd3XFlmO8oIbUQQ&s=03
  3. Good evening, against all odds I managed to watch men's short program today from start to finish and I missed Yuzu every second of it. I am not qualified enough to say anything about scores but there were performances I liked. I enjoyed Kevin Amos' program eventhoug there was a mistake which cost him a lot of points but the choreography was imaginative and he has wonderful energy. I think Shoma skated beautifully, all in all Team Japan did well. But I missed Yuzu, seeing those other skaters I realized how much Yuzu's skating is on a totally different level. It is a whole different experience to see him skating. His performances are unforgettable moments of something I have no words to descripe. I completely forget everything else and just follow the story he is telling with his skating. And what a stories they are , starting from the intriguing music, costumes which reflect perfectly the theme and the most ingenious choreographys to which Yuzuru is able to blow life like no one other. I am sure his performances will be watched over and over again and every newcomer will be evaluated against him and his achievements. I honestly believe that the only one who can top Yuzuru is Yuzu himself. Will he find the motivation and fire to continue inside him, we shall see... I hope he hears a piece of music, which he just have to skate I am just now watching pairs free skate, Vanessa James 34 years & Eric Radford 37 years, and they did really well....so age is just a number
  4. I'll keep all my fingers and toes crossed that his ankle will recover fully and we could perhaps some day see majestic Rondo again or any other of his glorious list of masterpieces ...or something new, there is so much wonderful music in the world just waiting to be choreographed and skated by Yuzuru
  5. Me too...sigh...I don't even want to watch World Champs because he is not there, and I haven't missed any World Chapms for the last 20 + years. I'll crawl to my cave to cry now
  6. Exactly, well summarized In this world of wars and viruses and injustice in every field of life, there is Yuzuru and his skating. Sometimes I feel that he and Fanyu's love for him are the only really true and honest things in the world. Besides no other skater has got such a vast number of fans all over the world. Yuzuru has been able to lure into the world of figure skating many people who have not been interested in figure skating before. He is the brightest star of figure skating and I think we don't even fully realize how huge his impact has been and I hope will continue to be many more years from now on . I wonder if Yuzuru even himself is aware of how meaningful his skating is...He has taken figure skating to a whole new level. It is not just technically demanding sport performances anymore but a high form of culture, a legacy that tells us something fundamental of the beauty of being a human and having emotions .
  7. Exactly, well said. I think he has millions of fans not just because he is a brilliant skater but also because he is so pure and honest by nature, just like some figure skating commentator said ' he is a top class human being' . That he really is, even if he never put his skates on again, but I hope he does... many more times and skates anything he feels like skating, free of pressure. I hope that is one of the rewards he gain from Beijing
  8. Thank you very much for pointing this out. Yuzuru has said about 4A and I quote ' if it was easy I had already done it' and also he has said that he couldn't have come to Beijing in any better form and that he gave everything he had, which I totally believe. He couldn't have done anything more. I think it is not fair to ask him to continue with 4A if he already has found a peace with it, as it was in his free program in Beijing. I actually think it was perfect 4A, it fit to the story and there was something poetic beautiful in the whole fight itself, so Yuzuru. I have never seen anyone so courageous and unyielding than him, and the way he handled his own dissapointment afterwards, that deserves HUGE RESPECT. To me that is even more impressive than if he had landed his 4A "text book perfectly". I am sure he will find his reward eventually. I know I am fully rewarded every single time he steps on ice
  9. I have to admid I am selfish too wanting Yuzu to continue competing, if only he will recover from his injuries. Eventhoug ice shows are enjoyable and fun to watch there just isn't that " do or die" vibe competitions have. I see Yuzuru as a fierce fighter who is able to set a goal and uncompromisingly strive towards it. He did it in Beijing and he truly deserves all the respect for that Now he has lot of thinking to do, and I guess it is not easy to find that strong motivation again. As an athlete going to a competiton he surely wants to win, but me being an incurable romantic, I would like him to cherish the memory of Beijing Olympics and skate from now on with totally free mind, only his warrior spirit and incredible talent as a weapon, giving not a single thought to scores, just showing what figure skating at it's best and rewarding level can be...but if he decides otherwise I'll suport him, I 'll suport him even if he decides to become a monk and dissapear to the vaults of monastery I hope he would somehow know how much his skating means to us, what kind of amazing scenerys he is taking us with his skating...I am in tears when he says in an interview after his free program in Beijing that he hopes his skating means something to everybody...it does, why is he even questioning it ? His skating definitely means so much much more than something, to me he is skating thousand and one stories, each different and unique and he is skating them only the way Yuzuru Hanyu can, so
  10. I quote myself...I just want to say that Yuzuru Hanyu and Keanu Reeves are the best possible human beings, whom I respect enormously. I wish there were more people like these two. Yuzu stay strong, you are so much more talented than other male skaters in your era, so jealous people do what they do, badmouth, but at the end of the day they will suffer, karma kicks back
  11. Thank you for this inspiring comment just mentioning these two gents in a same sentence makes me deliriously happy
  12. I wouldn't want nothing so much than him to continue even for one season more, but not at whatever cost, his health is of course the priority no.1. I also wish to see Roncapu again. It is a giantic masterpiece and I truly want the world record back to Yuzu. Roncapu & Yuzu deserves that. I am little bit sad, that Yuzu says in some interviews that he feels his efforts were not rewarded but when time passes I hope he will see that sometimes the reward is the fight itself and everything he did learn with it. I wish he knew what his skating means to us, how many bad days he has saved for us by his skating, how many new fans he has brought for figure skating. I think he is the future of figure skating just by the fact that people love him and his skating, in my opinion that is the greatest reward ❣️
  13. He really has a soft spot for stuffed animals...Bless him, it is so good to see him happy Thank you for sharing❣️
  14. Well said I agree fully.
  15. Yep, that's just what Fanyu's life is about
  16. I agree, now that I've seen most of the videos from today's practice I get the feeling he was having lots of fun and at the same time it served the purpose of summarizing everything he has done so far. I think he needed to go through every program in order to evaluate who and what is Yuzuru Hanyu as figure skater. He has to look back in order to move forward. My wild guess and hope is that he will continue his competitive career if only the ankle will heal well and lasts training. He is so good at this point, like he said ' Iam better than I have ever been', so it would be such a pity to quit now. There are so much wonderful music in the world, that only an artist like Yuzu can interpret and his choices of music has been superb. I think he is smart and strong and will give himself enought time to redefine himself as a figure skater. I know that whatever Yuzu decides, I will adjust and keep supporting him, BUT I need to know that Planet Hanyu exists forever and I can always go back to those magical, unforgettable moments of Yuzu's kids Chopin Ballabe, Seimei, Roncapu, TTCT, H&L, Haru yo Koi, White Legend...all of them, will it ?
  17. Tracy Wilson has said once that Yuzuru's practices are even more fun to watch than his competitions. I agree, when there is no pressure like today's practice Yuzu can really enjoy skating and his love for this sport/art is so enjoyable to watch. Figure skating at it's best and genuine level. I truly wish him a full recovery. I can not imagine watching figure skating anymore if he quits, once you have tasted Champange buttermilk just will not do anymore
  18. Me too, but let's hope he did it to remind himself how AWESOME, AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL, THE BEST EVER SKATER he is He said in an interview after the practise, that those programs were gifts for him, because he has worked hard... They were HUGE GIFTS also too us. PLEASE all the Gods and Saints of the Universe, let us have a feature film of Yuzu's practice sessions in Beijing🙏❣️
  19. Thank you for sharing. I did not quite get what he was saying, maybe because Japanese is difficult to translate into English, but I got the same vibe about 4A . Yuzu has got a lot of thinking to do Maybe he will redefine figure skater Hanyu Yuzuru and accepts new challenges or maybe he will find some completely new aspect of life. I believe he will do fine whatever path he chooses but Iam not so sure about myself. It will be hard to let the Yuzu dream go. I know I am not going to watch figure skating for a long long time, but hopefully some day I can refind it and have same kind of joy and happines and ghoosebumps from someone else's skating...who knows... But it isn't over until it is over and the fat lady sings...so maybe we will be blessed and see perfect Roncapu again and have SP World Record back to it's rightful owner. Maybe we will also see fantastic new FP with music to die for....there is no harm in dreaming, is there
  20. I doubt Valtter probably will not be lurking here, so I say on his behalf
  21. Thank you for sharing. I was so hopeful yesterday that he was going to continue his career but seeing this... it looks like he doesn't care whether or not he hurts his ankle even more, pain and damage to his ankle means nothing to him now, he only wants to give us the perfect Yuzuru Hanyu skate. Please, please take good care of your precious ankles ❣️ But Yuzuru, you have become to me and millions of other people so much more than a great skater who brings medals after medals. You don't have to bring physical objects because your skating is in another level. You are like the air we breathe, you give us hope and joy, your skating goes directly to the heart and stays there. I hope and pray that you will be OK after these Olympics and recover fully. I hope and pray that when the time comes for you to skate the "farewell skate" it would happen in front of full house of Fanyus, but most of all follow your heart, do what is best for you, you owe us nothing, we owe you everything❣️
  22. Yes, that 's true. He must have burning desire to skate and constantly evolve, just like Yuzu. I think Valtter should be rewarded with a perseverance medal
  23. Is he, really ? Great I have often taught that his love for figure skating is almost as great as Yuzu's. He is 34 and still finding inspiration for figure skating. He deserves all the respect for his long career. He began skating two years before Yuzu was born
  24. Thank you Wyell ❣️ I left short comment but I want to say it here as well: In this great wide world there is nothing so beautiful as Yuzuru's skating ❤️. I honestly think so. Today's presscon lift my spirit up high, even though he did not say exactly what he is going to do in the future, I got the wibe he is mayby, possibly, perhaps continue his career as a competitive skater, so we will have honor and priviledge to see his skating more often than just ice shows...JABBADAPPADUU
  25. I saw it too, and the similarities does not end there. They are both humble and kind, doing charity work and not seeking attention for it, they both have incredible charisma and good looks ....aaah those dark eyes and dark hair HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY FELLOW SATELLITES !
