  1. The identity of Yuzu's wife was spilled by ice show staff and crew 🤦‍♂️ https://news.yahoo.co.jp/articles/44f95f0430672d26f3167a6a5846364806e7a8f8
  2. Does anyone have the statistics or examples of athletes who unretired after marriage to feed their new family? Or to just unretire due to change of emotions?
  3. She has bad quite a bad reputation for sexually harassing Yuzu on her personal instagram.. most likely it is not her. Her character and personality is ... should we say not very ladylike.
  4. I agree with your post! I see some face palm comments about him being gay on tiktok and Twitter even after his marriage announcement... facepalm 😓🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ He's been talking about his ideal girl for a long time. Even when he was a Junior he said he liked kawaii (cute looking) girls instead of bijin (pretty) girls. (The interview was at his ice rink when he was a Junior after he won Jr Worlds and they also asked the same quiz to Murakami Kanako). He said in this same interview he finds Horikita Maki (Japanese actress) attractive and his ideal type. But there was a big section of fans who chose to ignore all his interviews for a long time. Even with Oda, he said he wanted to marry a wife around 25/26 and when Oda said he will be a good papa, Yuzu said "yes!". (Faoi backstage interview) So I think the honest part of the fandom knew for a long time he would be marrying a girl 😉
  5. Wow! I haven't been stanning Yuzu since he retired. Just snippets every few months or so, I would retweet some tweets. But oh my God! Him marrying is going to make me stan him even more from now. He seemed like such a family person and his marriage just confirmed it! He's going to be a great role model for families in Japan And now he has someone other than his mum who can cook and clean and support him through his skating journey. I hope he does come back for a season to compete, with a new passion from romance and family in his personal life! Alot of athletes unretire after marriage for various reasons 😃 But even if he doesn't, I'm still gonna support him
  6. Also I wonder if Yuzu has any plans to hire a Japanese coach for his pro skating practices? I heard some pro skaters still train under coaches to get tips and such. Are there any good figure skating coaches in Japan nowadays?
  7. Please post move this post to team korea. It is inappropriate on a Yuzuru chat thread
  8. The best thing I've heard all week. I bet their premium and all other seat ticket prices will drop heavily once they realize no one really wants to see their "Quad King" and "Quad God" in person. Legends are made from the people, not with fake scores. I hope ISU learns that quick.
  9. Same! Like learning yoga (like how yuzu said he was getting into stretching exercises I want to become more flexible), learning Japanese, being more active outside and developing other interests besides competitive figure skating actually sounds so much more exciting now that I don't have any figure skating competitions to look forward to. It's a bright new chapter for everyone.
  10. I think it's a wonderful opportunity time for Yuzu and us to develop new interests outside of competitive figure skating as a whole. I found it cute that Yuzu was now into dancing and pop dance and I bet his interests in games and animal farm and such will have more time and space to be explored in deeper detail. I hope Yuzu finds even more interests outside of figure skating and has time to travel once Covid is over, eat whatever he wants and meet whom ever he wants and just have fun. Now that Yuzu is is gone from competition, I am also starting a new chapter in my life from a FS fan (I got into him when I was at school) to exploring new interests and fandom outside the FS community. Maybe I should also try animal farm like Yuzu? Lol
  11. I also think we should record the live judging. Like actually record the judges with their face and what scores they press for what element they are watching. Live Camera Surveillance is needed in ISU judging, in my opinion.
  12. Haha I agree. Our job as fanyus is to not give lots of money to ISU now that Yuzu is out and give ISU the cold shoulder. It's what they deserve for what they did. Whilst also supporting Yuzu and just waiting patiently for whatever he wants to do next whether it be a competition comeback or just ice shows.
  13. Agree with you. I feel we may never know the future especially Yuzuru. He is very unpredictable in the good sense. It's pointless for us fans to speculate that this will be his final retirement or what not. His mind doesn't work like the rest. I just hope he is mentally and physically well rested for a long time for now.
  14. I did understand all of the Yuzuru Special with Matsuoka, Oda and Arakawa San and here are some snippet translations I found cute. 1. Yuzu and P Chiddy used to not speak to each other, but on P Chiddy's last official practice, he asked Yuzu how he skates so well, and P Chiddy was all smiley smiley when talking about skating skills during their last practice together 2. Yuzu wants the go anywhere door so he can rest in his room or practice until the last minute on his own rink before competitions or ice shows 3. Yuzu recently realized 2015 GPF seimei, was when he as acting as himself, not the character from the movie. 4. Yuzu is recently into stretching exercises. I can't translate everything as I need to sleep, but what I felt once I finished watching this was. I have a feeling this man loves figure skating and competitions too much to be away from it in the long run. I think what he needs is a long mental rest. Away from competitions, away from scores, away from ISU. His clear passion for the athletic side of figure skating and for competitions itself may return, because he clearly is so passionate about it (I'd like to translate everything if I had the time). After this interview, it made me sort of believe he might really compete again, but only if and when that fire returns. But I am beginning to think even Yuzu needs a long time to rest mentally away from all that before he feels like competing again. If he doesn't comeback, and my intuition is wrong, then that's even better. I want him to be away from these ISU clown show forever. But I just feel everything he said tonight, the passion and clear love he has for the athletic side of figure skating is not dead.
  15. I sometimes wish Yuzu was just honest with how the judging has been so corrupted against him in the last quad. 😕 I really do believe ISU and their blatant push for Nathan and underscoring Yuzu partly drove Yuzu to early retirement and mental breakdown. Sure it's not all their fault that Yuzu is retiring early, but it sure is partly their fault. They definitely played a part in messing with Yuzu's psych over the last 4 years. It was so horrible to watch. I sometimes wish Yuzu should have gone into a non artistic sport like swimming races and such, where objective results trump out everything else. His personality would have fitted such sports too.
  16. Am I crazy if I have hopes of Yuzu becoming the voice actor for an anime adaptation of his life? I mean, a Figure skating anime inspired by Yuzu's life would be epic 😎
  17. He might publish another autobiography, as athletes do after retirement. Maybe we will know the full story then. Many including myself were taken aback by the sudden retirement. Yuzu said he didn't rule out Milano Olympics in Beijing. But Yuzu did say after he came back from olympics, he thought it through. So in the course of 5 months he probably did alot of thinking and decided it was best for him to retire. I'm on board with anything now, I've fully accepted his retirement and I want him to rest and live his life in freedom. I guess we will never be able to see a skater like him in competition for a long time... so I am recently developing new interests to help myself from this withdrawal symptom. Alot of Fanyus said they will leave the sport once Yuzu retires, and I think I will too. I don't care who wins Worlds or GPF in men's anymore now that Yuzu is gone. My passion for men's figure skating died when Yuzu retired..
  18. I just want Yuzu to start his own YouTube channel and upload his skating there. It will probably have more views than the current ISU competition by far. I wonder if Yuzu thinks about becoming a YouTuber as in a real proper one... I think it will be the best place for fans outside of FS community to see his skating.. Now that he is retired I will literally be on board with anything he's gonna show us, from game YouTube to unboxing earphones to binge eating on gyoza or whatever.
  19. Same. You know what? Remember how fired up Yuzu was after 2019 GPF during the press conference? And him mentioning he later wants to try 5 quads in a program in the future at the 2019 Worlds Press Conference? Yuzu was a totally different person back then. He actually sounded very hopeful that he would ultimately win. Also after 2019 Worlds FS backstage, when Yuzu saw Nathan's score he said stuff like "I'm gonna practice 4Lz" in Japanese when Tracy and Brian tried to comfort him. I feel back in 2019, Yuzu thought that he had a chance against the ISU corruption, and we did too. It's only after Covid canceled 2020 Worlds, and Yuzu went back to Japan for good, and then things started turning out very strange, with Yuzu not being able to do GP and such due to injury etc. I think ISU corruption along with the separation from TCC and every thing else just made the last 3 years quite a miserable experience when viewing men's singles competitions. It's not the same sport to me anymore. For me, figure skating died in 2020 4CC. I'm glad Yuzu is out of this clown show and ready to do his own thing. He doesn't need ISU competitions. ISU competitions need him, but they are either too dumb to realize or they will realize soon when they notice the new Quad King and Quad God ain't selling them men's singles tickets like Yuzu did.
  20. I think the happiest years as a Fanyu were 2014 ~ 2017 when ISU still valued him as a worthy competitor. Everything started crashing down within the judging system after Yuzu's 2nd OGM. It is almost as if ISU had an emergency meeting after PC 2018 Olympics and made consecutive and well thought out plans to stop Yuzu winning at Beijing whatever it took. I look back on the last quad and feel such or something similar thing must have happened. Whether they wanted to build up another ticket selling male skater star right after Yuzu, or some other intention, I feel they used Nathan as a pawn as well in this politics. They built up the last 4 years so that they could find Yuzu's fake replacement star and shove his scores down people's throats thinking we would still buy tickets and go crazy for the next "Quad King", but boy were they wrong. If anything their plans had the opposite effect in people being disgusted with ISU competitive figure skating and now slowly turning towards being more interested in pro skaters. Yuzu probably felt there was no hope left for competitive singles skating after the PCS change. ISU's initials intentions and motivations for overscoring Nathan would have been purely out of profit (building the next young ice skating male star that will sell tickets), but it backfired. This is like straight out of a movie sort of thing. I can't seem to find any other motive behind what ISU did to Yuzu. And JSF was probably thinking the same thing. They wanted to build up the next Yuzuru Hanyu in team Japan and have been turning their backs on him after 2018 Olympics. What kind of sport makes a legend's last quad as a period to build up the next star whilst bashing and treating the last years of the current legend as dirt? Or maybe ISU thought Yuzu would retire straight after 2018, and got shocked when he was continuing, and just only manipulated him to sell tickets whilst making sure he never wins anything big. Then they won't be able to call the next replacement skater as worthy and marketable enough to sell tickets once Yuzu retires. Hell their motives seem so money orientated it makes me sick. No fairness at all, just purely politics for more profit
  21. I hope Yuzu makes his own ISU and revamp the entire PCS Scoring system with AI technology and only let computers be judges. And he can compete in that lol
  22. Yea Covid is what gradually led to the separation with Orser. He used to train in TCC before Covid, but since travel restrictions, everything kind of changed. First with the separation with TCC to his absences in GP.. it's so sad 2019 was his last GP. We only got 1 GP since 2017!!! Sad but that's life.
  23. Yeah I agree. I was confused at first because I remember him not ruling out the next Olympics and him saying he wants to continue competing at the 2022 Beijing Olympics Press Conference. We all thought he might announce his retirement back then, but then he said things that made us believe he still wanted to compete. I think his mind changed somewhere between this February and July. That's why I was taken aback at first but I just think he deserves a good rest now. He has his own life to live. And I wish him that freedom. I think even if he does comeback (99.99% unlikely) it won't be for Milano but for a small competition or just J Nationals for one last time. But I'm only having bets about Japan Open and WTT
  24. It happens alot in other sports. Michael Phelps retired after London but then unretired for Rio one last time. The legends do unretire but only once, and then they leave the sport for good. I think Yuzu might do WTT and Japan Open, but I doubt he will return for singles. I can't imagine Yuzu coming back after all this sensational retirement buzz.
  25. I find it exquisite Yuzu's retirement from competitions just made so many ISU competition employees jobless. They should have fired nearly all their judges when Yuzu was robbed in 19~20 season against Nathan and readjust their entire judging system. I hope I see them regret with tears, being unemployed and cashless with their new "Quad king". Oh and I do think Yuzu might do Japan Open. It's a common team event competition for retired skaters, so I will hope to see him there someday.
