  1. I completely agree! With his competitive spirit he will want to win in an event when all skaters did their best program and his is clearly superior to anyone! Now, we know that Judges may rob him of that, but I am sure he would not feel 100% satisfied if he happens to win because all others make mistakes... I believe that we should be kind and cheer for all of them because all made enormous sacrificies to be there (and so did their families and coaches...)
  2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzM4LM8NsbY Johnny Weir/Rudy Galindo Throw Triple Axel
  3. Another moment in which I though, can anyone please send him a suit that fits??? I understand this is a team uniform but to make him look so frumpy it takes a special effort, especially when there are so many talented Japanese fashion designers and costume designers
  4. I hope you are all ok! We feel for all of Japan! Stay safe and positive and let us know
  5. Just listened to the Queen's version it's amazing, but you are right, the costume should not be a Freddy Mercury style...
  6. So we may get our X-Mas present after all...
  7. What time will it be for Europe? Maybe there will be a X-Mas miracle and someone will help us watch it live...
  8. For sure it must have taken longer then usual to do everything on video chat! I would love something epic in a red costume please!
  9. My Alexa in the US answered Evan Lysacek, Evgeni Plushenko and Elvis Stojko... Plushenko I understand but Lysacek?
  10. I'll try this as soon as I get home! Will it work in any language???
  11. I completely agree! Javi and Yuzu have such different personalities, skating styles and a respectful way to see others that they probably motivated each other the best. Imagine being the only person on ice doing quads and triple axels, versus having someone next to you day by day doing the same and beautifully! That alone will make even the most tedious exercises worth doing.
  12. It is possible I misunderstood but I thought foreigners cannot travel to Japan right now...Did I get it wrong? can Ghislain travel to Japan if Yuzu decides to do the Nationals?
  13. It means: His coach calls him "The Alien" (as extraterrestrial being...not the movie...), in Japan he is the rockstar of figure skating, 2 times Olympic gold he aims to land the quadaxel. The tweet is from the MilanoCortina Olympic commitee tweet account.
  14. Be safe and try to stay positive! In the mean time... Today (JP time) marks the 9th anniversary of 3.11 Japan earthquake. As usual, by searching "3.11" keyword in https://search.yahoo.co.jp/ website will contribute to Tohoku region recovery fund and efforts. Campaign starts from 0000 ~ 2359 (JP time). For more info, you may want to read through JP Yahoo campaign details English: https://fukko.yahoo.co.jp/2015/en.html At least I feel I could do something positive in this dark our for Italy and all places affected by the virus....
  15. Andra tutto bene, vedrai che ce la facciamo!
  16. That's my worry, would I get in (Italian) would I be able to get back to the USA. Would it be smart to travel and risk getting sick knowing the cost of health care here? In addition would it be completely irresponsible to risk spreading a disease around? I was expecting the event would be cancelled today! Don't get what are they waiting for....
  17. I laughed so hard listening to that interview when they asked Brian (several years ago) if it was easy to train Yuzu and Javi...and he was like...easy??? Nam is easy...I did not have children I don't understand how they can be late for a noon session...Training a smart, strong willed, genius of a skater is probably not that easy! But it is also a once in a lifetime chance to see this kind of talent everyday...
  18. thank you so much this is so interesting and I love history! Regarding the topic, it makes no sense to me to insult someone because the show respect. As an athlete Yuzuru is sent to international competition to represent Japan how insulting would that look if he did not respect his own country? If I remember correctly didn't Johnny Weir get a a lot of grief from the media because he sported a sweatshirt that said "Russia" on the front during the Olympics in which he was competing???
