  1. I scrolled through this post of yours, and I suddenly can't stop laughing, not because of what you wrote, but the images. Your avatar on the side, that Yuzu evil laugh icon in the quote, and the beautiful swan in your signature... All 3 pics on my screen at the same time, it's just too hilarious. Perhaps I need to screencap this screen for entertainment
  2. I'm not ready to enter that hell yet, though I bookmarked it for some crazy time later, White LGC with his fluffy hair still not gelled up like in that costume fitting video is my perfect prince! Sweet dreamy prince! With his hair done though, sweet dreamy prince turns into this dangerous sexy gentleman threatening to steal my soul. When he has this intense look on, I can only stare at his face. But the music started and he made all these expressions that I couldn't handle staring at for long, I dropped my gaze... and that mistake cost me so much, I'm still crying a river over it now. I'm traumatized and scared
  3. Ok, too many people provided me the reason for Kitty Yuzu, I don't even know who to tag and quote for thanks So thank you all for those pictures. I see the love for cat now. He's so cute and amazing in that sparkling blue t-shirt. He was actually glowing there for me. That shirt looks quite thin though, showing off his figures a lot. I love that, haha. It's not as nose-bleeding as his LGC costume , just the right level for me, haha. I still can't look straight at many of his LGC pics, especially the purple costume from hell. I love the white version though, very fresh and dreamy.
  4. Ok, after seeing many fanarts of Yuzu around, I have to ask a serious question. Why does he have cat ears in so many fanarts???? Does he look or act like a cat sometimes? His personality is like a cat or something? When I became his fan and found out he was born in 1994, I thought "Oh, a dog in Chinese Zodiacs, just like my favorite Japanese actor!" - who is 12 years older than Yuzu. I really like this coincidence so I always think of a Shiba Inu smiling face when I want to relate to Yuzu. But more and more cute and chubby chibi Yuzu with cat ears and tail are appearing on my Twitter feeds everyday... If anything, I would think he looks more like a fox, LOL
  5. @Ajora @Anya @Victoria @Yatagarasu Thank you everyone for such quick responses. I can see the weibo video. It's hilarious in motion! When I first saw the gif Victoria shared above, his expression and action seems kinda bratty if that is towards his mother, but after watching the whole video, it seems less so now because of everything before and after that gif moment. Gif really can be dangerous, His frozen crisis moment when he just stared down at his gloves though... I laughed so much watching it. And then there's Javi casually jumping around behind him, it's like the universe is mocking him, haha. That paw waving action after that and his fallen face.... The boy is just tooo cute!
  6. I read some fans said his father is/was a teacher? and a strict one. Perhaps he picked up his murder glare from him? @Xen Thank you for the link. It's so cute, but SportyMags only has sideway photos of him... I can't see the death stare across the arena Really hope @Yatagarasu or someone can give me a video link to see him stare and wave his hand now. Just reading recap is already so funny.
  7. Where can I see that moment? Bringing wrong gloves and then turning on murder face... I'd like to see that moment! Please help me.
  8. Ho, so I'm not the only one who is like that, always wanting to know both the bright and the dark sides of things, haha. I just like to form my own opinion after learning all I can instead of being ignorant. But I have the feeling most other fans here don't want to open that can of worms to new fans so I don't know if we will ever get any PM to satisfy our curiosity. For now, I'll just watch Italian uncles gushing about Yuzu while waiting for the parade
  9. Rereading my posts earlier today and I just remember 1 funny thing. The positive example of a "Yuzu anti who has finally admit to start appreciating him/his skating" I've been looking for all this time... I think I found one! I just never thought of that before! A person who I think probably didn't like Yuzu's skating style before. A person who is very bias and just didn't like him. A person who above all other fans fighting in bloody fanwar all these years, has a real personal and understandable reason to dislike Yuzu. A person who finally admitted to public they used to hate Hanyu Yuzuru. Here I found, Patrick Chan! He has eventually come to term with himself, and finally can watch and appreciate Yuzu's performances! If someone like him, who has every reason to dislike Yuzu (losing that Sochi gold to Yuzu definitely hurt a lot), can finally admit he see some great things in Yuzu or his skating, then my silly belief is not so silly anymore. I can really believe now that there must be other old Yuzu antis who probably don't hate him as much now and can see good things in him, because Yuzu is just that good! They probably just don't say it aloud
  10. Thanks for answering. I understand bitter anti-fans are hard to turn. I'm just curious if there are more rational and neutral anti-fans, who might initially not like his style but later like his improvement, or some bias anti-fans who might not like him before because he was dangerous to their favorites but now can appreciate his artistic and athletic sides along with his dedication to the sport. Reading GS threads, I see many people who are knowledgeable and have respect for other competitors there. Many are fans of several skaters through the years. I'm probably a little hopeful to look for something like that regarding Yuzu, because seriously, I'm just too amazed with him, I just think that surely he must have had a good effects and impressed even some hard critics to turn around. I'm new to this figure skating world, so I haven't gone through enough places to find proofs for my (silly?) belief. That's why I'm asking older fans here. I don't mean to raise fanwar debates here. If it's a sensitive topic I accidentally touched upon, I'm sorry to other fans and mods. If anyone has experiences that they don't want to share in public but think they can share with me, please PM me. Even though I'm a new fan, I can say I've had enough experiences reading and watching fanwars in other things unfold in the past. I never joined in fanwars, but my tolerance for them is quite ok. I guess I'm just this weird type that want to look at past fanwars to learn from others' mistakes and get more info from different sides. I like to get as much info as possible before I form my own opinion. @cinemacoconut You mentioned Zhenya as in Plushenko or Medvedeva? I saw that name used for both of them on GS, quite confusing. If you meant Plushenko, then yeah, I think his fans really like Yuzu because he's such a passionate fanboy of Plushenko after all. He's basically one of them And Plushenko also likes Yuzu very much, always praising him since before Sochi. Fans will love whoever their idols love, haha.
  11. I've been curious about this for quite a while now but haven't been able to ask anywhere. Since a few people mentioned this here today, I would like to ask a question to long time fans. I know Yuzu has lots of fans, but also quite a lot of antis. I've read old threads on Golden Skate for a while, competition threads, debates, other skater fanfests.... I initially did it to find out how Yuzu has grown over the years and how casual people view him, not just his fans. I came across both irrational and neutral anti posts on there. I understand not everyone can like him. Some might simply not like his skating style, some might be bias and just don't like him because he threatened and won over their favorites, some don't like him because of a bad impression with other over-the-top posts sadly done by some Yuzu fans... and then there are people who hate him as a person (), doubting his character and questioning every little action he made. Sadly, it seems those who hate him with the most passion are from Japan??? I came across this Japanese anti's blog when googling news about Yuzu not long ago. She alone wrote in English on a japanese blog platform (). Reading her posts, I understand she is a Takahashi fan. However, she wrote this post questioning Yuzu's character if he deserves that Honor Award because she has this weird idea that Yuzu Japanese fans are trying to sabotage Takahashi's TV broadcaster career (not sure if it's the right word to describe his current job) by complaining to the TV station. Then she went on to assume that action is actually backed by Yuzu's evil team, led by the evil soul himself, since he alone avoided being interviewed by Takahashi during Japanese Nationals, making it hard for Takahashi to do his job... but then I wonder how she even came up with that when Yuzu was not even in the 2 most recent Nationals... Ok, I got carried away here a little because that anti blog just bugged me too much I wish I could unseen it and erase it out of my memories but I couldn't... I just had to get it out first. Anyway, back to what I want to ask the most (sorry for this wall of text), have you guys ever seen or talked with a Yuzu anti who has turned around to appreciate him more now on GS or Twitter or anywhere? Have some antis who didn't like his skating style before perhaps now can see his improvement and artistic side and like him better, even become a fan? Have any Japanese antis in the early days ever admitted online they come to appreciate him now after he won a 2nd OGM for Japan and brought back honor to the country? I've seen on early GS threads some Takahashi fans who used to like and support Yuzu in his early senior days, defending him against other people's attacks regarding his lack of stamina and postures. However some of those same people in later threads also turned to criticize him and his new coaching team, his decisions from his coach to costumes to programs to training schedule..., in his own fanfest, calling him derogatory names.... It's really sad. What I'm trying to find out now is to know if there is a positive side to look for, to know that even though there are those people who are too bitter in life to change, there might still be people who can recognize and respect what Yuzu has done all these years, for himself, for the sport, and for his country and his people? Again, sorry for this huge and confusing wall of text. I've been keeping this bottled up inside for such a long time. P.S: I need to clarify that I don't hate Takahashi or any other skater. They and their fans are different. They have nice fans, and some bad ones. Yuzu also does from what I saw on GS. I will never hate on a person just because I don't like some of their fan actions. I can't hate a person when I don't know them personally enough and I'm always shocked when I witness the level of bitter hatred some anti fans can have toward a person. We need more love around.
  12. Totally agree! You can only stay on top if you keep improving yourself, and what's better motivation to improve than good competitors around? At least, the King won't feel lonely on his top spot because he has people trying together with him. The sport will be better too. I have nothing but support for these hard-working athletes. I just hope the judges do their job well so people won't be bitter toward the athletes.
  13. Canada has too many curses! Yuzu should channel Seimei's spiritual power and banish those curses for them, by winning over all those evil spirits floating around Canada ice
  14. Well, I don't know about Chanflation. I was just joking about "evil" Patrick because he always stood in the way of Yuzu's Canada gold dream, But joking aside, I thought it's just that he never performed his programs quite well yet at the time of Skate Canada. He seems to get better along the way and peaked at GPF? And if Chan got some bonus from Canada, it's kinda understandable though. It's his home ground. I saw people complaining about Yuzu getting some boost in NHK and his first Japan GPF win years ago too. I just hope now that Chan retired, Canada judges will show their love to Yuzu a little more before their own young juniors grow into another rival for Yuzu. Best chance to win Canada gold is now!
  15. I was about to comment the same thing The "evil" Patrick is finally out of the way, this is the best time! He deserves to get that thing after all this time staying and competing in Canada! Give him that to honor him and his coaches, please!
