Hopping onto the ‘how does he travel’ curiosity train, just how does he manage to be such a complete ninja all the time, especially when he travels internationally? For example, no one knew he was back in Canada until the live sighting + Instagram posts, and again his presence in Japan is unconfirmed but assumed based on the fact that his own ice show starts tomorrow. If he’s traveling commercially, how do the other passengers not know that Yuzuru Hanyu is on the same flight, or if they do know how does news not get out?

Ugh I just so happen will be traveling both this Friday+weekend as well as next weekend, of all times... But inauspicious timing on my part aside, I’m looking forward to parsing through the impending explosion of content and living vicariously through you all! Oh dear, the hanyuconomy is something else! With how much I find myself wanting to buy this, this, and that --oh wait yes and that one there, too-- I suppose I must resign myself to the 'good fortune' of being on the other side of the world ...that being said, does anyone know if there will be second-hand, international sellers for the exhibition's merch (similar to japanhomemaker for CiONTU merch)? For a purely theoretical thought exercise, of course Just wondering, after seeing the post about Yuzu and Yoshiharu Habu being invited to the imperial garden party: despite having the exact same kanji for their family names (羽生), for Yuzuru it is pronounced as 'Hanyu' and for Yoshiharu, 'Habu.' How common/rare is it for a family and/or given name to have multiple possible pronunciations? And when faced with such a scenario, how do native Japanese speakers figure out the correct pronunciation of the name (for non-famous people, at least)? Would it require spelling it out with hiragana regularly?

Hello everyone, new satellite here! I started following fs and dear Yuzu in the beginning of the 2017-18 season, and little did I know that this rollercoaster of a ride would take years off of my unsuspecting life. And yet, here I am, hungry for more, and I'm so glad to have found this community of satellites who call this Planet's gravitational field home!
