Hey guys! Not to bring negativity to this thread, but I don't know how you manage to stay calm (teach me ). Most of the times I just ignore negative thoughts or try not to think about it at all, but at times (now) it becomes impossible. This season is just wrong, all my favorite skaters are injured or have some other struggles. I don't have any doubts that Yuzu will be chosen as a representative of Japan at the Olympics, but what I fear is that he won't heal on time and skate injured. The moment I've read somewhere that the inflammation reached the bones, I just can't stay calm anymore. I don't get how it's possible to the injury to aggravate when he probably has the best doctors. Anyway, I hope that all of this stays in 2017 and next year will start with a blast. Sorry for bringing it all here

I actually agree that COR and NHK are quite probable. But I didn't get why some are thinking that he'd have to choose between SC and NHK? The events are 2 weeks apart and that is not so unusual.. I would be over the moon if he went to GP in France, as I'll attend it. But I don't beleive in such a miracle

Haha, my shocker was the first competition I went to and didn't understand anything that was going on :xD: It's very difficult to watch FS without commentary and not knowing technical stuff as you're completely lost. Of course, I know Yuzu's programs by heart, so it's not as difficult with him as with other skaters Haha, ok, I'll pay attention next time on the curve of the jumps!

Very interesting! I wonder how long it'll take me to know as much as you do about the technical stuff. I can recognize the jumps, although flip and lutz are still very difficult, especially when filmed from not very convenient angle. Oh yes, if you allow me to flood a little bit more.. I was always wondering, if the only difference between a lutz and a flip is the edge, then why on the protocol they write "e" and the jump that was planned (for ex 3Lz), and not just change the jump to 3F if the skater jumped lutz from inside edge? I realize it must be a stupid question, but it's been bugging me for a while now.. Are there different requirements for the jumps, for instance how long the skater has to stay on a specific edge? (not sure if my question is understandable) EDIT: And to stop being off topic: do you think that Yuzu will include 4Lz next season? Even though I really want to see it, and sure it'll be a thing of beaty when ready, I feel that he won't do it next year. Unless it becomes really stable during this summer, I'm not sure it's worth the risk for the next year

depending on the level, lvl 4 stsq would have x0.7 factor so the max GOE is 2.1; while lvl3 stsq would only have a factor of x0.5 thus the max GOE is 1.5. Got it, thank you!

sorry for this off topic Hmm, sorry, but I'm not sure get it.. so if all the judges put +3 for stsq, then the skater get's 1.5? For Worlds long Yuzu got 1.5 GOE, but he had +2s as well..
