And staying out of the sun. And being in a humid and cool environment. Delay those wrinkles, blotchy spots and sagging!

Yes, but quite a few Asians do that (stay out of the sun). It's not unique to him.

WOW!  How did they figure out Yuzu's endorsement amount?:smiley-shocked032:

I feel like that should move him up in the rankings.

 http://www.espn.com/espn/feature/story/_/id/26113613/espn-world-fame-100-2019#yuzuru-hanyu

I'm so confused about the search score. Tried to look it up but I still can't figure out what a good number is. Their #1 and #5 has a score of 100 but the guys in between are a lot lower. I'm guessing higher number is better but then why would supposedly more famous people have lower numbers than the #5?:scratch2:

ESPN is probably estimating based on what publicists say Yuzu should be making per ad and how many endorsements he has. The Sekkei endorsement history makes me wonder how much money he has given up by only endorsing products he actually believes in.

I have no doubts whatsoever that he could be worth a lot more if he wanted to be. I think it's pretty clear that he'd rather focus on skating, though.

I think his ESPN ranking is also limited by his lack of social following.  If only they could include all the fan sites and all the hashtags...

The compendium of bad pictures on Twitter should be good for a rank or two. :67638860:

Yes, she also gave a wonderful account of Yuzu and Javi at the Olympics...

...getting together and doing, of all things, some simple stroking exercises that they all do at TCC. Made me cry while I was trying to do my eye makeup.

What if in the future when Brian, Ghislain  and Tracy retired, we will have yuzu and javi taking over coaching at TCC

I really liked Tracy's interview. She seems so lovely, genuine and such a good influence on everyone she deals with at TCC... and I loved all of her little stories about the skaters...

I've rewatched Yuzu's last competition in Moscow from a new perspective. These two fancams are so amazing (perhaps you know them already):

I love them so much, because you can see the entire warm-up, performance, Pooh-rain, hugs and K&C moments from one perspective. In the official broadcasts with multiple camera angles you cannot really judge the huge ice coverage and speed that he actually has. I've never seen him live yet, but these clips gave me a rough idea. His aura and presence are so amazing.

With every new day I get more and more nervous about Worlds... but when I hear, how many young skaters love him, look up to him and believe in him, it calms me down and makes me happy:tumblr_inline_n18qr5lPWB1qid2nw:
Tomoki, Gogo, Roman, Daniel, Plushy Jr, little Voronov, the flower girls... now even Vincent said that Yuzu is "on a different level from the rest of us"... this is so encouraging and satisfying.

That  FP... Haven't seen it  in months . I  took  a little  break after  CoR  from FS, needed it , the bittersweet  experience  was  too overwhelming. And  now  I feel  ready  to  come back. I was there  but  my mind mercifully  erased  everything  from my  memory  except  that  Ina  Bauer,  which  left  me  floored and  smitten  ,  it  was  so  long  and  powerful and left me  in awe from that  beauty  and subtle  power . I'm so angry  at  myself  that I  don't  remember  all the details  ,  stupid  games of memory , thank God  there  are  such  fan cams out three .  Shiiiit, "Why am I  crying???  (C)

Awwww, that explains it! :67638860: I wonder if that's how they enticed him to do the commercial or if it's a condition he put on it.

Spoiler

Not that I think he'd ever do this in a million years, but the first thing that popped into my brain was him being invited to do the commercial and then showing up with two big beefy Russian guys (who are actually very nice cousins of one of the Russian skaters and wouldn't harm a fly) and giving a very strong hint that he'd like some donation to Tohoku forest conservation.

I'm sure you already know but just as a reminder, you can leave your message on Yuzu's first blog article: https://ameblo.jp/kose-sports/entry-12443651939.html

Click the middle box コメントする. (Already nearly 600 messages are posted.) Then there pops a box.

From the top, タイトル(title)  コメント(comment/message)  画像認証(verification by copying numbers) 名前(nickname) URL(if you want to show your twitter account or something).

After writing your message, click the green box 投稿する. It will take some time to be shown on the blog site because all the messages are read by administrators beforehand.

Surely Yuzu will read all the messages and English should be no problem for him.
