Now it makes sense why she is doing just the 2 stops in Japan when she could probably have done all of them... she needed time to figure out where/what/how she would be living etc... I wonder if Javi will be moved out of his apartment by that time...lol!!! Apartment for rent... TCC skater required...

Won't lie, I prefer Higuchi's skating. Even after Orser, I doubt Medvedeva will be impressive to me. But I commend her effort into trying to fix her flaws.

this isn't official confirmation, just an article with "sources" so I'd probably wait to hear what the news is on monday. I'm not surprised if it's true but I'd caution against talking about it like settled fact

You are right. It's just everyone else seems to be talking about it so I just joined in with the fun. Of course we have no idea if it's true or not and it will be interesting to find out if true.

Whoa I am...so surprised? I mean, of course I knew about the rumours and I was following the whole social media drama but I still thought it couldn't be Call me naive, but if I really had had to bet my money on a split, I would have bet on an amicable split, not all this...drama I don't understand, they always looked a solid team and Eteri was hugging her and comforting her after her silver in PC (and people where complaining about Alina being neglected). What's happened behind the scenes? Argh, I'm dying to know, too bad we might not know like EVER (same with some other notorious post-oly splits)

Anyway, after the first-moment shock, I'm actually quite thrilled It's possible Zhenya felt that she needed to leave her nest and spread her wings (I really hope it was only something like that, tho it clashes with the whole social media drama)

hopefully this split will make her land to a coach that will take her skating to the next level. I wish her all the best

if it's true  Zhenya will join TCC...idk, it feels weird to me  idk, it's just my feeling, tho it would also be kind of funny. Personally I'd be happier for a Boyang or Wakababy joining TCC, mainly because imo TCC can offer what they need, like good packaging, lots of different specialists, for SS, spins etc (and maybe a bit of PCS boost that they could hardly get otherwise).

Maybe Zhenya would benefit the most from a coach like Raf...but Zhenya is a tough girl and clearly had all of this planned, and she made the bomb blow while she is on holiday(? is she? I've read this somewhere) and dropping cryptic "hello" tweets all of a sudden, so I trust that she knows what's better for her

Anyway, I'm excited about which kind of programs she can have, when working with different choreographers, with (maybe) a different approach to skating

 

Also, ugh, I really hope there won't be any ugly bashing/shipping, I wish all fans could be reasonable and keep their own personal fantasies separated from reality and real lifepeople And I really wish all yuzu fans could bear in mind what he said about reading nasty things and act rationally towards other skaters

If it's true Evgenia's going to TCC, I admit I'm surprised, mostly that Gabby ok-ed it. Admittedly, she trains more with Lee than Brian, but still... it's not really comparable to Yuzu coming when Javi was there, because Yuzu wasn't so far above everyone else like Evgenia is (well, except Alina, of course >_>) and Javi never really saw himself as champion material, so I guess he minded competition less than the average athlete. Gabby didn't strike me as confident enough to accept Evgenia as rinkmate, but maybe I'm wrong (I admit I don't really know her anyway).

 

I admit I do fear both the shippers and the 'stay away from Yuzu!' fans... both would be unbearable (and I admit both are a reason why I'd rather she didn't go there ^_^; But if it's what's best for her...)

 

But I am a big fan of TCC way of doing things (and have been lukewarm on Eteri based on some comments, while hoping I'm just overthinking things), so... good for her, I guess. Whether it'll work for her or not, remains to be seen.

I know you're joking, but I don't get why some (other) people assume pictures she posted on SNS and now deleted were posted without his permission? I'm pretty sure she got his permission every time (and in a way, in this day and age, "May I take a picture with you?" tends to have an implied "and post it on my SNS" at the end of it, anyway). If she deleted that it might be that she wants to avoid any shipping whatsoever. We know Yuzu was pretty mad last time there were dating rumors about him - and he knows he gets the idol treatment and his more fanatic fans will harass any girl closely linked to him - so they might actually put in an effort to maintain a distance... We'll see, I guess...
