- At first it was not clear, some tests showed a negative result all the time, and then, when Vika was already at home and realized that it was a coronavirus, one day, in my opinion, it was Saturday, she called and said that she is very bad, she suffocates. We connected all the best doctors, and she was admitted to the hospital that very evening.

She had a fairly serious lung injury, and the doctor said that all the good fellows that she was put. She was given thinning injections - in the stomach, in the thighs. In general, the disease was rather difficult. For about a week she was in the hospital, then she got out and still had to stay in quarantine.

- Someone greatly helped in the situation with Vika, when it was necessary to be urgently hospitalized?

- Tanya Navka helped, thank her very much. Vika was treated by a doctor who treated Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and Dmitry Peskov. Many thanks to her for this, because it was necessary for the right doctor to treat in the right place, so that the ward was normal.

Since childhood, it has gone so far that Chebotareva was tougher with me than with everyone else. Perhaps she wanted more of me. So that I do not relax, she chased me right from childhood as I don’t know who at all.

I always got hit for all sorts of jambs, for being late I ran 500 laps on the teeth. Or spinning too much time. Not sickly it hit me like that.

I thought, “Damn, how unfair this is. Here to Valya Chernyshova or Misha Kolyada just so in an amicable way, but me as usual. Why can they come to the choreography in whatever they want, and I need to wear this shameful swimsuit? And do more than anyone else?"

First, Chebotareva pulled me up so that I would not lag behind, and then she would not let go. In this regard, I am grateful to her, because now I have a working discipline: as much as they tell me to do, I will do as much, even more.

But, maybe, at some points, the coaches still went too far. In fact, Chebotareva is tough. There's a very tough man right inside. That's how she said, so be it. It was very hard.

There is a question that you want to understand. You ask why this is so, and they answer you: “Yes, because. You can go now". And you stand and do not understand. It doesn't work very well with adults.

There was such an attitude towards me that I could not finish something. I went to work extra every day. They could say to me: "Well, go at least run." I answered that I go jogging every day. And the answer to me: “I do not believe. We have never seen you. "They talked to me like a child, and I didn't really like it.

But I can't say anything bad - the coaches made me the athlete that I am. This was initially the correct tactic.

But we worked together for a very long time, during this time, disagreements have accumulated. And Chebotareva had resentments towards me, and I towards her. And in the end I came to a standstill as an athlete.

At that time, there was an interested team, they [Plushenko's team] were very ready to work. I was offered good conditions and was interested in me as an athlete. What are the good conditions? Both in terms of ice and in the training process.

When I arrived, they poured me like a cold shower. We started to plow. I realized that training in Moscow and training in St. Petersburg are completely different things.

The result was good, especially as I was brought to the beginning of the season. In September I was in a ringing shape, but during the starts I began to get out of shape.

But we did little work together. I didn’t know how to work with them yet, they didn’t know how to work with me. But still, in the summer, they did almost a miracle. I stepped forward in skill.

But cooperation did not work out, because the conditions have changed. Before the Russian Championship, it turned out that we began to skate on different rinks, there was less ice and less halls.

If we compare the beginning of the year and the end of the year, these are completely different training sessions. And then another unsuccessful Russian championship (16th place). And I decided that something needed to be changed. I realized that I have no internal reserve.

They did not help at all with housing at the Academy. In the summer, I lived with Alexander Volkov and Martine Dagenais, they sheltered me at their home, gave me a room. It was amazingly comfortable, they are generally very cool people.

I had panic attacks for a whole year. And it was just awful. I don't know the reason, probably eternal anxiety or something else inexplicable.

I have had sleep paralysis several times, especially in competitions. There was one start when I arrived at the Grand Prix incredibly ready and in a great mood, but I just could not sleep during the entire competition and caught sleep paralysis and panic attacks.

I came to the rink and realized that I simply could not get myself together. That something is wrong with me. I think at that moment I was very worried about the results, there was a lot of pressure, it was hard. It was so hard for several years.

Mom was very supportive, we talked, and working with a psychologist did not help much. But now I have no more problems with the mood, I have more problems with preparation, I guess.

But at the moment when I had panic attacks, I was alone with them. I remember that at some point I just thought: “I can't resist it, I can't bring myself to sleep, so I'll just lie there and watch cartoons. And breathe well." That's all. And when I was able to fall asleep well in the competition, it was just a miracle, wow!

And the year before last, I realized that I had some depressive states, from which I myself could not get out. And it prevents me from skating and living. As if everything around me was gray, nothing made me happy.

I went to a psychologist, we began to discuss the problems, I understood all this and at some point it really became easier. But for several months I thought that in this life I was not interested in anything else. All through suffering, there is no positive in life. I came to training like a robot.

Our sport destroys the nerves of girls and boys, I think, too. This is a lot of pressure for years, not every person can withstand it.

For girls, corrals, problems, restrictions begin. Many people I know are really suffering, it worries them. It should not be. Sometimes this pressure can be avoided - sometimes the coaches just go overboard.

Not everyone has the patience and time to do it efficiently - it's easier to starve for a week and achieve your goal than to follow closely for a month and go to specialists. From this it comes. We do not have this culture initially, that girls are explained how and what. Simple: lose 2 kg by the day after tomorrow.

In childhood, you are planted with some kind of grain, obsession with this. Then you begin to control yourself, set the framework - they become stronger, because it doesn't get easier. If you don't figure it out in time, expect trouble.

It also happens that they run onto the ice through the scales. And you understand: today a pound is a plus. And you understand: well, today I will not do anything. I've been struggling with this all season. This is a stupid pattern: if I am a little heavier, then my jumps will be worse.

It stuck for a long time, and I was told. What was my surprise when it all turned out to be nonsense. It really depends on the weight, but not so much that I put on 300 grams and won't jump anything.

On February 22, the correspondent of Match TV was present at the training session of Alexei Mishin's group. Before the warm-up, Kolyada told the coach that he had problems with his neck.

- You saw everything yourself, - said Mishin. - We thought at first to bring the DENAS apparatus (a dynamic electroneurostimulation apparatus for solving a wide range of therapeutic tasks), as a result, today we let Kolyada go home. What's next? Then people will think that Misha and Mishin are “mowing” on the eve of the tournament. No, it’s not. I don't know what will happen tomorrow.
This week Kolyada was supposed to go to the Challenge Cup competition (February 25-28) in The Hague - as the reigning champion of Russia, he was exempted from the selection for the World Championship through the National Cup Final.

The question of the athlete's participation in the Challenge Cup tournament in The Hague will be decided in the coming days based on his health.

interview with Zagorski/Guerreiro

Tiffany and I can feel the same part of the program differently every time. Sometimes it turns out more sensually with each other, sometimes more ornate. Every time new colors are found, but they are natural, not contrived. There is no definite one: here take a step there, step there, here look like this, here - like this ... And when I hear that people practice kissing for hours in the hall, it is surprising.

We have applied [to ISU] for [all competitions] that we can apply for according to the decision of the CAS. Now we are unlikely to get the European Championship, then we need to understand how the ISU International Skating Union will make decisions on the canceled competitions. There is an idea to give the opportunity to those countries that have lost their starts due to the pandemic to carry out in the following years. As for the World Championships in Canada, the situation is a little different, it is more about the European Championship, Four Continents Championship.

“In my opinion, the word “promised” doesn’t sound good,” Kogan answered at a press conference at the Rossiya Segodnya news agency, when asked who was promised to participate in the World Championship besides the country's champions. "There are sporting principles that we abide by, and the word “promised” is inappropriate in this context. That Alexandra Trusova, that Zagorski/Gureiro are preparing for the World Cup, like everyone else, but in general they are recovering from some injuries that someone knows about, and someone does not. We know about it."
"Sasha (Trusova) performed with an unhealed injury at the team tournament, but since there was an understanding that it was necessary to participate, she did it. But now it is inappropriate to force her to perform with an unhealed injury again, if we speak pragmatically. Or wrong, if we speak with interest." - said the head of the federation.

Nina Mozer is back

Quote

Mozer announced her return to coaching skaters

"I'm coming back. I come back because I missed you, I rested and I feel that I can start over with a new generation of guys. It's interesting to me, ”Mozer quotes RIA Novosti as saying.

She said that she wanted to work with skaters again while watching one of the tournaments. Mozer was unhappy with the mistakes of the athletes training at the rink where she coached.

“There are already emotions, there is a desire, I want to do it again. Now the moment has come when the guys need to go higher and further, and I want to help them in these achievements. I will work directly with two adult couples and one junior one, ”added Mozer, noting that one of the adult couples will be the duet of Alina Pepeleva and Roman Pleshkov.

Mozer, 56, suspended active coaching in March 2018.

Interview with Plush about Kosto after the short program at the RCF

- At the beginning of the year, you said that the restoration seemed to be successful. It turns out, after all, no?
- Yes, it still does. She had a severe sore throat after covid and was treated again. It turns out until she can restore her former shape. Angina was three weeks ago.

- What can you say about the new program? Experts said it looked damp. How long did it take to roll it? How long has it appeared?
- This program was delivered immediately after covid. I think the new program is great. And the old one too. Alena is not able to simply because of her health. I hope we all get through this. Tomorrow is another day. We will perform, compete, show what we can show. You need to sk

- If there were problems in the short, what will happen in the free program? It's longer. Are there any fears?
- Of course. This is a big problem. Today we will discuss with Alena her state of health. She says that she will go to the end, because we talked with Alena and Seryozha Rozanov and I said: "Probably, this season should be completely skipped since such a story." But she says: "No, I will perform, I will finish, I will fight." We went to meet the athlete, listened to him and gave the green light.

- She, in your opinion, is still in the game, in the battle for a ticket to the World Cup?
- She stays in the game. Seven points are always won back. The question is whether she can skate. I say again, there were skates in training, she skated the entire program. If we did not see what she can do, they were removed from the competition. But she can do everything, roll back the program. Here are just competitions - competitions, and training - training. We understand everything perfectly. Here is such a misfortune with Alena that she got sick very badly.

- Is there a possibility of withdrawal?
- We will discuss this with Alena, communicate with doctors. I hope she skates.

I like very much her new program, and her skating itself didn't seem affected by the latest off-ice period (the sore throat), although of course the program itself is not completely ready. After this interview, I doubt she could be back in shape for Worlds though, with 3A and all of course I may be wrong.

And I thought too, "there's no way she's still at 1m55". Don't you think she's grown again?

It seems she's already preparing her Olympic season, though she's brave enough to fight what she has to, like Alina Zagitova at Worlds 2018 (I was so proud of her, she was so brave, and her 5th place was a success at that moment).

I hope she has a good skate today, but with 7 points to retrieve and without her 3A, I don't see how she could beat Elisaveta Tuktamysheva unless the latter falls repeatedly in her free. Not her style.

And I was sorry Anastasia Tarakanova had to withdraw. I hope she heals swiftly too.
