Also had this same question before, esp. as he isn't being managed by any agency. The speculation was his mom manages most of everything for him. But as to who else is in his "management" team and what each person's role is, I haven't found any info on this either.

I wonder though, if ANA is listed as his skating club, this might mean they help manage things for him as well. But yeah, not really sure how things like this work.

Please check this out . I was reading the old thread and come across this info.

Sponsor astonished by an Honors Student, Hanyu's comment

Yuzuru Hanyu (18), 2012 Worlds Figure Skating Championships' Bronze Medalist, was present at the Press Conference held on July 1 in light of his Affiliation Contract with All Nippon Airways (ANA). Hanyu spoke of his aspiration, "I'm extremely happy. The road to Sochi Olympics is long and steep, but I'd like to keep myself firmly on the ground and work my hardest in order to live up to the support."

The length of the contract is one year. The contract value, including a signing bonus, is undisclosed, however, he will receive support with regards to transport to his training base in Canada among others.
"My name contains the character 羽 (feathers) while figure skating 'jumps' represents 跳ぶ (to jump), which are in line with ANA's 翼 (wings)," declared Hanyu, drawing an exquisite analogy.
"Splendid. For the record, this was not pre-arranged," Ken Nishimura, ANA Executive Vice President voiced out his admiration for such a comment befitting of an Honors Student.

It's seven months away until Sochi Olympics. "I'm still not at the stage where I'm able to talk about my programs and costumes," said Hanyu, maintaining a discreet stance, nevertheless embracing the support reassuringly to aim for the big stage.

Thanks! It's interesting to know what kind of support he is getting from ANA. So their partnership started on July 2013. I hope ANA sees it as being one of their most valuable investments. As a fan, I'm thankful for the support that they have and are providing for Yuzu.

Wow. I knew he had to have a good relationship with them because I've never seen a sponsor dedicate so much to someone (that print ad they ran after Boston :tumblr_m9gcvqToXY1qzckow:). I mean, they made him his own logo   /his extraness is contagious/

Wow! 30 million. How much do football stars make? I mean I know it's not salary but also training costs, travel costs, etc, but that's a lot.

Yuna was listed at Forbes for being paid something like $10-$14 million: https://www.forbes.com/pictures/mli45feid/no-7-kim-yu-na/#3dd273219b40. Of course all of these numbers are speculation. Yuzuru also has other endorsement deals and prize money too. And sometimes ice shows.

Also, he is so poetic! Sometimes I run out of superlatives to describe him, but then he surprises me :13877886:

I think they meant 30million yen? Which would be around 300k dollars. But this was back in 2013. Their contract is probably worth a lot more now.

I am really curious about his net worth as well. Wonder why it hasn't been published like for other athletes.

This article speculates that after winning at Sochi, he would probably be flooded with CM offers that would each be worth around 500K USD.

Really happy for Yuzu if indeed these figures are true.

I'm so glad to find out that Yuzu is well supported by ANA.  The article also said that they have a very good relationship, that they are surrendered by his smile.:space:, I mean, who can resist this?. Figure skating is very underappreciated sport, my friend whose son skates in the same rink with Nathan told me, it is very expensive to be active in this sport, and unless you are the top skater to get sponsored, you're on your own for all those expenses. Of course not to be the top skaters doesn't make you love the sport any less, you still have a passion for this beautiful sport, sometimes you just don't have the mean to follow it though. I know it is the reality but I feel sad for those skaters. On the other hand, I'm feel relieved that Yuzu don't have to worry about financial problem and can focus on his skating
