Hello @Marinn! (and everyone else!)

 

We've been discussing the pros and cons of opening a separate thread just for Yuzuru and we've decided not to at the moment for the following reasons

 

1) The site needs structure and organization, even though it is primarily a Yuzuru Hanyu forum.

This place is for both our old and new members but also members who will be joining us in hopefully years to come. To make access easy for all of them, and us, we need to organize the events and this includes the Olympics as well. It makes browsing and reference much easier, now and in the future.

 

2) The general chat is just that, and as you can see, is already a huge thread.

At some point (very soon) nothing would be accessible any longer if everything was in one thread and the conversation would frankly be impossible with many different interests overlapping.

 

3) We're an inclusive forum, for all Yuzuru fans. 

This is not an exclusive forum where space only exists for Yuzuru-only fans. On the contrary, we welcome everyone; those who want to have a chat about him and learn more and hopefully stay fans longer and longer, and also those who are quite dedicated to him alone.

 

4) Please come and take a look at the Fluff thread itself.

It is actually mostly Yuzuru orientated, almost 90% of its contents is due to Yuzuru. The sizes of the threads aren't related to other skaters; they're related to just how much content, and talk, and gushing, we churn out in regards to him. There is room for other skaters but that is a good thing as Yuzuru himself exists in the context of this sport and often relates to them.

Actually, I was thinking a separate Yuzu-Olympics-Fluff-and-Practice thread might work the other way - so we can find stuff about other skaters' arrivals and practice easier lol. Fluff thread has obviously and of course exploded. Finding out how Javi did is going to take a while!
