Fantasy on Ice 2023 in MAKUHARI

The costumes are true FaOI canon: the opening costumes so truly horrible that not even Yuzu can salvage them (why hide his gorgeous form in a glitzy shopping bag?!), but the finale gave a gorgeous view of that body making us all salivate.
Looking forward to the broadcast, hope I survive it! Not that I mind dying like that…

Opening costume: Fun colours but needs more waist definition! The boxy fit reminds me of trash bags...Yuzu looks cute though :peace2:

If... costume: Digging this :59182a91b7414_cool(1): Looks simple since it's just B&W but then you notice the rhinestones, ribbon detailing at the back of the jacket, and the chains around his pants. It also looks like inspiration was taken from the song's music video.

Finale costume: These tweets basically :68271262::ninja:

ok I still haven't caught upfrom pag 7-thisand I have to go to bed now, but I still need to drop a short comment before I forget!

what I've seen of new prog looks so very cool! costume too! even if I saw it compared to a *cough* another one (that I'd have called a non-costume) LOL but this is cool and shiny somehow too (the pants? seem an upgrade on the golden fake zips on LMEY2.0 :D) looks cool in motion and seem to fit the vibe of the program!

I still have to wrap my mind around the finale costume, it's...A LOT to take XD victorian Zu with mesh up to his collarbone where are thou??? XD

about opening costumes, they vibe to me like 90's-2000s? and yesterday I watched the trailer of the new Barbie movie, and when I saw FaOI op costumes pics I thought: hey, they could fit in that movie! Ken could totally wear those! also, I had a flashback of bb Zu excitedly skating to Somebody to love... So, even if I don't like the style, I have now a giant soft spot for those outfits:embSwan:

thank you everyone for posting the updates <3

FAOI has a …..style all its own and has to be seen from that pov.  The opening number - meh we’ve seen better we’ve seen worse.  The person who likened it to a party bag was spot on - same glittery materials and boxy shape. The finale - someone in the costume set up knows how to cut around a torso and we should all be profoundly grateful to them.
