It's Alexander Petrov of Russia. Since I hear Tracy Wilson talking with someone, and they mention Patrick Chan, I guess the footage is from SCI2016? Not sure what was on the monitor of Petrov's cellphone.

Thank you @sweetwater for the info. I also didn't know this was from 2016. Unfortunately I have not been a Fanyu for so long. I think the content on the cellphone has definitely Yuzu's interest quickly aroused :D

@Yuzuwinnie

To be honest, I also translate from my language into English with the help of Google/ DeepL translator. And if the translation is sometimes not perfect, I apologize in advance for that.

Thanks for sharing this video. :thanks:

To be honest, I also translate from my language to English with the help of the Google / DEEPL translator. But sometimes the translation seems a bit funny. :to smile: For that, I apologize in advance.

I looked back on Yuzuru Hanyu's World Figure Skating Championship 2021 support videos and posters that were aired in Sendai.

In some skaters' recent performances I feel a little bit interrupted by how they watch out for the boards, therefore I noticed another reason why Yuzu makes me forget the world: The rink doesn't obviously limit his skate (except in ice shows of course) anymore.

While others look at the boards to estimate the distances or even have to break the flow, it seems that he just doesn't pay attention. He knows the measures of the competition rink or his training rink in Sendai by heart, or in other words, his ice covering and choreo are absolutely under control in this aspect too. I rewatched Ten to Chi to from JNats, LMEY from Worlds and White Legend from Sendai to check. The swan is dancing on a frozen lake, no boards at all.

Zu's bio was updated again. And again I have no idea if anything was changed.

http://www.isuresults.com/bios/isufs00010967.htm

IMO Yuzu's ISU bio should have 2 tables or an extended table - I think it's really odd that the governing body of the sport hasn't the wherewithal to make sure that an athlete's complete competitive history is recorded - it's really shabby that Yuzu's record before 2014/15 season has disappeared - maybe this is why ISU keep inaccurately stating his Olympic achievements in any literature (ie only mentioning he is an Olympic champ, omitting the TWO TIME bit - if it's an administrator who isn't an FS fan and just checks the bio prior to writing any promotional literature, then they will make a mistake as his entire competition record is not there - imagine losing his first Oly gold just cos the table isnt big enough - ridiculous!)

I couldnt see anything had changed either, but it's always great to see Hobbies: None, never fails to make me laugh!

I think the last line "Hanyu has contributed significantly to the choreo of his 2020/21 programs" was added.

It wasn't. That one has been there many moons ago.

At the Four Continents Figure Skating Championships 2020 I remember Yuzuru Hanyu of Sendai, who broke the world record in short program and became the first man in history to win all major international competitions and achieved the Super Slam!

Yup! 羽 is used for counting winged animals! (And also rabbits for some reason, maybe because it looks like they are flying when they hop? Don't really know).

It seems there are many theories about the origin of counting rabbits as "羽".

What I heard when I was a child was that in the days when eating (four-footed) animal flesh was not allowed or forbidden because of Buddhist commandments, it was given as a kind of excuse to eat rabbits as "looking like a bird".

Other main theories of counting rabbits as "羽 (wa)" according to the site below (roughly translated by DeepL and me).

https://www.benricho.org/kazu/column_usagi-2yurai.html

(1) Their long ears look like bird feathers.
(2) The skeleton resembles that of a bird.
(3) Rabbits stand on two legs, were thought to be birds and eaten as such.

(4) "Rabbit うさぎ (Usagi)" is pronounced by breaking it down into "u and sagi", which are both bird names;  "鵜" and "鷺".
(In this case, however, the counting method assumes that there are two birds at once.)
(5) The way a rabbit jumps around is like a bird in flight.
(6) The meat resembles bird meat.
(7) As rabbits are sometimes held by tying their ears, the word "1羽 (wa)" was derived from "1把 (wa)", which is used to count things that are tied up or bundled, and it resembles a bird.
(8) There is a method of catching rabbits using a net, which is similar to the method of catching birds.
(9) In regions where rabbits are considered sacred animals, the counting method was changed to distinguish them from other animals.

Edit:  There are other ways to count rabbits, including "匹 hiki" like other animals.

「できること、一つずつ。」One thing at a time as I can.

This is one of the words I have cherished myself, and one of the most important words I have ever encountered in my life. I have been talking about "evolution" and "challenge," but what I can do is different every day, and there are many emotions, such as suffering, joy, happiness, and sadness, but I want to carefully accumulate what I can do one by one. My main goal is to make 4A a success, so I'm using all of my nerves and energy to achieve it.
