The guy in the black polo tee also made a punny joke that pokes fun at the two (without making fun of Hanyu at all--very smooth) but it doesn't work in English at all. >_<

Do you think you can sum it up or maybe an equivalent? Just randomly interested in the joke. If not, that's fine too.

Does anyone know who this guy Yuzu had to just embrace and receive congratulations from while he made the Olympics media manager wait. I love it that he really took time for Tats and this person :tumblr_inline_mto5i3wxFW1qid2nw:

I'll have a go!

The guy says that the kindergarten they all went to must specialise in 'suberu'.

Suberu can mean skating, so the sentence would be 'the kindergarten they went to must specialise in ice skating' which is a reference to Yuzu.

But in the context of comedy, suberu can also mean to make an unsuccessful joke (ie a joke that no one laughs at). So he's basically dissing their comedy skills by saying the kindergarten they went to must specialise in making bad jokes.

Hope that makes sense!

I've seen on twitter there was a FaOI Shizuoka broadcast today,  maybe on a local channel...does anyone know if It was the day we've already seen or another day? (And if it was another day, will we have a chance to see it eventually?):tumblr_inline_n18qr5AMus1qid2nw:

Have you got the information?

Just in case;

(Sorry, I have no information about local broadcasting)

It seems Shizuoka was the last broadcasted by BS Asahi on July 1st (at present).

http://www.bs-asahi.co.jp/fantasyonice2018/

The rest of the broadcast of FaOI is as follows on CS TV Asahi 2 without commentary.

http://www.tv-asahi.co.jp/ch/contents/sports/0294/

FaOI Makuhari:
1st day:  July 21 (Sat)  2:00 pm
2nd day:  July 22 (Sun)  2:00 pm
3rd day:  July 28 (Sat)  2:00 pm

FaOI Kanazawa:
1st day:  July 29 (Sun)  2:00 pm
2nd day:  August 4 (Sat)  0:00 noon

The website says they are planning to broadcast also Shizuoka and Heroes & Future 2018 in NAGANO without commentary (excepting some venues) in turn.  :snpeace:

Thank you for compiling all the info again! I think it'd be great to have no commentary versions of all the shows, but even just a few would be great!

And yesterday there was a broadcast of FaOI Niigata on BS Fuji. I hadn't heard about any other broadcast... and since we've known about all the other local broadcasts, I'm thinking there might have been some confusion? Though a local broadcast that might make it to youtube would be great!

It's only the strong rubbing alcohol in hospital after his surgery that Yuzu was allergic to, isn't it? And it must be pretty mild or they'd have known before getting recovery from surgery quantities of it rubbed on him, you always get it rubbed on your skin before getting a shot. I remember he said he had sake after his coming of age ceremony and it was the first time he had alcohol and he didn't like how it made him feel or something of the sort. I think he went on to say that's probably a good thing because he's an athlete and he shouldn't be drinking, or something along those lines.

Well, he mentioned it in Asaichi, when there was a question about whether he drinks alcohol and he said he's allergic. I think the allergy started when he had his surgery, which was a few weeks after he turned 20 and became legal and probably had sake with his father and grandfather (I think it was). Like you said, it's probably not that bad and he could probably have some alcohol now and then if he really wanted to, but I don't think he wants to. I don't really remember the not liking part, but even if he had, I think he didn't have enough time to really develop a taste for alcohol, enough to want to drink even despite the potential (because, like you said, it's unclear if he'd have a reaction from a simple beer or so; then again, many allergies start after heavy exposure to the allergen, and just because what started it was the strong rubbing alcohol, it doesn't mean he won't react to less strong alcohol, as well) allergic reaction. Someone who enjoys drinking might think it's worth it, though. (The way, for example, Javi won't give up cats despite being allergic to them. Though it's a different type of allergy.)

Ah, I see. Yes, it kind of reminded me of my own first reaction to beer when I tried it as a teenager (yuck!! *takes a few more sips* definitely yuck! wait my fingertips feel funny, what is this! - my great adventure in underage beer drinking), that's why I remembered the not liking part, though I might be misremembering, too.

An elite athlete has plenty of reasons to not try it again and develop a taste for it.

Yes, I think there was a local broadcast yesterday. There were some Twitter posts about it, including this one with a different shot of when Yuzu did his revenge 4T, focusing on Mai's reaction 😆

From today's local broadcast.

Hopefully someone will upload it online, or it will get broadcasted too eventually.
