So I came across this again the other day: This is the Kozuki Sports Award and Athlete Acknowledgment Ceremony that was held back in 2014. Hanyu was awarded the biggest award there for his achievements, and was the representative chosen to speak on behalf of athletes who were awarded in the event. He gave a speech that's a little over 4 minutes long which I haven't seen a translation for floating around, though I very well could have missed it. Right...this is a tad embarrassing and awkward since I've never rooted for anyone to this degree before but I figured since I had a spare ema lying around at home, I finally got this done today: Here's what the ema looks like from the front (this is an earlier snapshot, when this lil project of mine was still a WIP): ...don't ask and i won't tell. Is this program Hodo Stn? Has Ichiro Furutachi retired???? Anywho, here's a rush-job translation of Matsuoka's latest interview with him. I'm not used to churning out things like this quickly so the work is rather...shoddy...at best. Still, the gist should be intact. ^^ Will probably be editing it from time to time until I'm happy with it. Anyway, here's the guy dishing out a large serving of awe. As usual. until2017 Autumn Classic International The 2017 Autumn Classic International will feature senior events in men, women, pair and ice dance, and junior competition in men and women. Typically, the event will host over 50 entries from over 20 countries. The competition is one of 10 events that will form the ISU Challenger Series. Athletes at the senior level have the opportunity to earn world standing points. Competitors are eligible to participate in up to three Challenger Series events.-

Hi! This is the thread to discuss Yuzu's 2015-2016 season and to organize the streaming party! Yuzuru skated to Chopin and Seimei (for the first time) in this season, won his third GPF title and set new world records, from which two of them are still the current best ever scores! Since we're having the 24h TV broadcast this coming weekend, the streaming parties will be next week, on 2-3 September. The broadcast will start on August 26 6PM Japanese Time on NTV. Yuzuru will be coaching a kid with asthma, who started skating because he looked up to Yuzu. An ice show will also be held to cheer for kids who also battle with asthma and other illnesses, to say "Let's work hard together!" to them.
