Yuzu only stated facts. I mean, if we needed to we could gather data and make statistics about how well attended GP events are that Yuzu graced with his presence and ones that he didn’t attend... but we don’t need to.

The core problem here is that their concern isn’t to make judging more fair but the sport more popular (in NA, by giving the American skaters a helping hand).

hm I know people who use drugs recreationally and cocaine is considered rather expensive so they‘d only do it on rare occasions. So I wonder if she used it in a party drug kind of situation or if it was to help her with training? I am clueless in regards to regulations... would it be considered doping? can it get her banned? eta: I guess weight loss can be a motive, too..

I was actually thinking of doing an improved analysis based on this person‘s idea bc it doesn’t consider the fact that Nathan got very consistent lately and as a result has had less jumps with negative goe. It‘s only natural that his mean goe would go up. I know it’s going to be a less holistic analysis with a little more subjectivity added but my plan is to only consider jumps for simplicity and to look into the quality of the jumps (as in, only consider jumps that were absolutely or pretty close to clean. Bc you can only really compare clean jumps? That is the part I‘m still thinking about). I am not sure I‘ll actually go through with it bc it means I will have to watch a lot of videos... lol (Also I have already collected some data and calculated some stuff and... I am not sure if 2019 worlds made the difference here and I think this analysis might not include gpf yet so worlds might have ended up having more weight but just for this season Nathan‘s and Yuzu‘s mean jump GOE is almost the same. The difference isn’t as stark as shown in this graph. But the same thing can be said about Yuzu, he's been alot more consistent this season than in the past seasons (for obv reasons.) I am NOT saying that their mean GOE being similiar is fair tho. Just that this graph makes the difference look a lot bigger than it is.)

To me it sounds like their statements aren’t too clear... just from the translations, not that I speak Italian. I guess I just find it hard to imagine Yuzu actually joining a musical group‘s tour without them providing him with ice to skate on 😆 So it would just be practical for them to join faoi while they’re there anyway. I don’t think Il Volo being on a mini Asia tour excludes them performing part of it at faoi? eta: I guess saying „we‘re touring and a specific skater is going to perform with us“ sounds better as a promo for themselves compared to „we are going to collaborate with a skater on an ice show for one program“. Considering they said Yuzu won with their music, it seems they are trying to portray themselves in a better light here or at least not everything they’ve been saying is super accurate.
