I kinda thought you were insinuating those stuff reading your post so I was actually making an argument. If you didn't mean so then obviously I misunderstood you. I apologize for that.

there was a debate of weather he would return to TCC and some were saying he was beyond the place now or that he was mostly training alone in Sendai and he seemed fine etc . not responding to a single person but to a number of post, and I was saying I think that if possible he would enrich on having a coach with him no matter how great he is. but I was also conceding the point he may want new teachers in the future only he knows

and when I said he showing up alone was significant I meant it probably was a conscious choice, and not due to not being on speaking terms with TCC, as I explained on my post I think it was his decision to pursue the 4A on the Olympic ice and maybe he wanted to take them 'burden ' of opinions , critiques etc on his own if things didn't go right or if they went well he also deserved full credit for a jump he mostly did on his own, he wasn't coached into it

It is not like he doesn't get help. He has been exchanging videos and emails with his team these whole two years, yes? He obviously has been consulting Mishin and that is surely done online as well. Even his choreos are via Dropbox.

As for him being alone on screen at the Olys, that was his choice. Backstage he did interact with his team, yes? For Mishin too, all we saw were a nod and a gesture. And if they chatted with each other in some ways thruout the Olys, we have no way to know.

Ultimately, he figures out the 4A physically on his own but he does receive advice and support from afar.

I dont know if you were refuting my words or adding comments, cause I didnt say any of those things .

I didnt say he didnt get help, or that he was in no talking terms with coaches or that he didnt recieve any advice.

  3. tbh having a teacher to learn from, even if you are already great, is invaluable. but maybe Yuzu is on the lookout or already consulting new teachers. You can do a lot of things on your own but having someone giving advice and outside perspective is gonna add to your learning ( as long as you have a good relationship ofc)

I feel it as a bit significant that he was alone in front of the screens during this Olympics. I think this was his thing, and not really something he was coached to do. He made all  the decisions unilaterally, and probably disregarded advice on what he should be doing so for this time he wanted to stand alone and take responsibility of his actions. To his this quad  axel was super important and maybe not many supported the idea of doing it on Olympic ice. or maybe he was considering he may not medal and he also wanted to take that "burden" alone, wouldn't put it past him.

But honestly the 4A is his thing, he learned mostly on his own this past years and I think he deserves the whole credit for all that he did accomplish with it.

For some baby Fanyus this is a bad time to become a fan haha. I expected the negativity and i think we should try to see it from their perspective. Most of us had the fortune of becoming fans before Great Hanyu Debacles and we didn't feel his permanence in the sport "threatened" as a lot of new fans might be feeling right now.

That said, precisely because a lot of us have already gone through many Hanyu Debacles (and the Big Pandemic Drought), we are mostly like this:

Which leads me to this next point.

    :dancingpooh:Baby Satellites! :dancingpooh:

Some of our staff already posted it but just so it doesn't get buried in the conversation, there is a plan to help us make it through the drought!

And hopefully, this will help you understand his journey a bit more and dispel some of the negativity. The first post-Olys #YuzuSkatingParty!

It's part of a series and many people will be commenting on the chat on Twitch, so it will be the perfect opportunity to ask questions and catch up with Trollzuru :YuzuPoohLove:

omg I been wanting to join one of you guys streams over on twitch and I always miss them. I hope I can make it this sat!!

also those quotes from fanyus from China are SHARP :rofl2:

  5. I am actually feeling so emotional. Reading all the things Yuzu said, how he wanted to skate all the mistakes away and pick up all the things he dropped along the way now that his form is at his strongest and is able to do it ( even while injured, unbelievable), and he is able to enjoy the moment and share with people that love him and appreciate him even if a small number of audience I know it means a lot to him to be able to share this amazing craft of his that he so delicately and hard-workingly built. I am amazed every time by his heart, his drive, how much of a perfectionist he is but at the same time how much he appreciates beauty. I don't know, seeing him happy and enjoying himself and leaving these Olympics being able to show how much he has grown, ho much he can do and how strong he is at this point, being able to show how much he prepared for this, its simply so fulfilling for me cause it is for him/

And that thread of all those skates talking highly of Yuzu, his beautiful skating but also how behind that there is so much work and effort and a very humble and generous human being.

Anyways, gonna have a good cry. bye

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Yuzu decided to win the Olympics retrospectively in the exhibition gala.

Skate the full 4:30 minutes of POTO with upgraded jump content, polished choreo and all extras. In the spotlights. Just because.

That would probably go down in history as the biggest king sh*t of all time.

And meanwhile all fanyus fainting from worry and anxiety :13877886:

I was thinking simple jumps and just beautiful skating now I'M worried :smiley_hairpull:

    [NEWS]

the interviewer has me laughing, the desperate ' anyone else?' no bro, just Yuzu, he doesn't need anyone else hahaha

also i feel a bit selfish but I'm so excited for gala confirmed 😭😭 I really hope he wont get any more damage pls 🙏 but what a treat for us fans. He also deserves a skate with no pressure to skate beautifully and show his greatness to the world 🗣️🗣️ he deserves to receive lots and lots of praises! they better praise him a lot !!! you heard him, he dont wanna have to pat his own back!!

bless Yuzu for giving us this skate , the Olympic ice shall be honored to hold him again.

The worst is when Americans pretend men's was totally fair but then the judges suddenly become completely corrupt and inept when judging women's, as though it isn't literally the same pool of judges.

I think it is infuriating how everyone suddenly is ready to talk fairness in the sport and even fields now but its complete silences regarding the atrociously corrupt judging. they are all complicit

listen to Yuzu and put the motion sensors 🗣️ the would still manage to be corrupt but something is something .

I think all the judges should get audited and defend their scoring and if they cant then they are out. without accountability this will always be a circus

IMO, she's pretty typical of an Eteri skater: no polish or grace on the ice because they're muscling thier way through jump after jump crammed into bad choreography

I am no expert on technical elements and pretty much just 'judge' from the perspective of someone that loves to watch the sport, and like I said I have no idea about women skating from many years so I dont have a bias in favorites or stuff like that , to me it just looked unappealing , she seemed to be kicking her legs around a lot with no grace, shaky landings, the skatting skills didn't seem good ( to me) I agree the spins were indeed pretty. But I think I agree with how you put it muscling the way through, no real grace, refinement or artistry . She is young though, she has time to develop better flow but in the way she was at the top I was expecting something else, thats all.

thank you all for your responses 💗

  10. I have a question, doping aside, what do you guys think of her skating? I havent watched women figure skating in eons so not sure what is the scenery...but i watched this girl SP since I was curious due to this whole controversy and how can I put it... she seemed rather unrefined, clumsy and brutish. like a baby horse. im not trying to be mean, thats like the energy I got from her. Is she well liked previous to this? Like, do people praise her skating and so? I know I am being harsh but if she is a top contender I am surprised, it is nothing like what I was expecting.

    wish I could understand :animated-smileys-holidays-water-025:

There is a lot of talk of retirement here all the time and honestly Yuzu is still very actively attempting 4A and wants to land it in competition. His ankle is a worry for everyone but first than anyone else to himself, he will decide what he should do at any time. His performance in competition has not diminished at all, he is really at his peak and still doing groundbreaking skating. I will continue to follow him closely and support all his efforts

  12. I think Yuzus feelings are just very raw right now, he is very sensitive and feeling vulnerable and exposed, but after just a tiny bit of time I know for sure he will feel proud of what he did here.

What he set out to do was terribly difficult and ambitious and his results are amazing ! He was so close to a fully rotated 4A in competition (Olympics stage, no less!) which is outstanding . He had to not only practice and study the theory but actually make the theory himself! His contribution to the sport is unmeasurable at this point. Unimaginable hard work. He is legendary and he keeps making history.

He is making progress towards his goal and that is all that matters to me. He doesn't need to prove anything to anyone, he has proven himself a king on ice many times.

Wishing my beloved Yuzu the best of fortune and health in his journey.
