That's awful. Can they not at least show respect for someone so much older, who is clearly a respected Master in his field?

It can't be actual Koreans harassing Master Park- Koreans are , if nothing else, extraordinarily age deferential.

I think that the solo era was beneficial for each of the members and their growth as artists, but it was also inevitable that there would be an increase in individual stans.  There are so many who think that JK and Tae should leave BTS and just stay solo.  Part of this is because of their individual charms, but also because they were also the final two to have their solo stuff released. And Jin has been gone for 16 months - an eternity to an 18 year old fan.  Time has made some forget where the individual artists came from and to where they will gladly return.

When are you going to be in Korea? Any chance of making it to one of the pop-ups?

I don't get to Seoul until maybe June 11 or 12th at the latest.  Arriving as Jin is discharged, which is pretty cool, though I'll only be there until the 14th and then on to Jeju.  I hope to get back to Seoul for a couple of days before I come back before the last week of July.  Way too much time to be away from the dogs.  And then I go back in September, maybe the 10th.  I won't be there when Hobi is discharged, but who knows, maybe Jin will have some sort of performance after he's been home a couple of months.

I may be in LA during the time it's there, if I can line up a dog sitter, but haven't been able to yet.

But I still hope that Jin goes to Jeju for relaxation and some fishing.  The chance of me bumping into him is about the same as me winning the lottery but you never know.

The pop-ups will likely me pretty cool, but the Proof exhibit last May in LA was a bust and a waste of money.  I had thought there would be some release or re-release that all ARMY could throw their money at.

  3. It is a pop up - which is kind of disappointing. I, too, am not wild that Tae was used for any kind of military promotional deal.  And Jin has no grey hair - that's a glitch from the lighting.    And I got my phone back after dark last night- but it''s not back on line yet -

@barbara i think that every time you play the preview, it gives you a different member's photo. Some folks have collected all 7 but I like Jimin's the best

Best news in a long long time- I hope it has teeth and that it doesn’t take years. Live Nation/TM are such thieves.

also good news we get all seven-

If you get into that MNCR Logistics thing, you eventually get this to a point where the website lets you download stuff like this:

Apparently it's the leadup to a  (speculated to be OT7) project dropping on April 17. People are finding connections in it relating to HYYH, the 4th Muster, the dsy the PtD tour was announced, Run BTS episodes, etc. Lots of references to a 'memory cloud' , which was first referenced by them during the Wings tour.

It's an official teaser for something.

You don't get Jimin?   This looks like I should get Jimin.

I think that there isn't enough time before promotion for some project that involves us putting out a lot of money for pre-sale, but, the 17th is the anniversary of the teaser for HYYH, so a teaser on the 17th.

Weverse really wants us to stay engaged.  As if we are going somewhere......  We're already in a countdown for Jin to return.  56 days.

Theres a bunch of debate about whether this is legit or not.   But is is the official BTS twitter account so there must be something real about it- just zero indication of what it means.  It's odd that there is nothing in notices on Weverse.  Best guess is a re-release of The Most Beautiful Moment in Life,, pt 1,  official release date of April 29, 2015.  I am a little perplexed why there is nothing on Weverse about it but maybe in the next couple of days.  i read that the official teasers for this were on April 17 and April 19, so maybe there will be more clues then.

Or Weverse is just trying to keep ARMY engaged....

  7. Lots of comments and replies about disappointment in Tour D-Day - The Movie.   Mostly regarding the fact that it wasn't actually a full concert.

  8. Well, I chose not to go, just feeling that an 80 minute version was going to be a mash-up and leave me wanting.  I thought that Jimin, JK and RM  were supposed to have their full performances in it, so that is interesting - though, seriously, the three of them is a minimum of 12 minutes, easily, and that would leave a bit more than an hour, plus credits -

I have read the same complaints about the editing and construct of the film and want to see who did the direction and then look at who did PtD and the tour movies., and the programs about album prep for Jimin and Yoongi and Hobi, all the “ Roads to“   and Production diaries.  I really think everyone should send a complaint letter to BigHit.  True that Hybe is frightfully commercial, and I get that, but there feels something un-BTS like about lessening the product quality.  It clearly was not even as advertised - the final encore concert.  The imdb page just has Hybe as “ production “  but the other concert films have actual, named directors.

It's lazy of Hybe, at best.  I'm not sure who a letter should even go to,, though a cc to Bang sounds right.  With a new baby ARMY on board after seeing this film, I think that all ARMY deserve to have anything released with BTS on it to be quality.   I'll try to figure out what department legit complaints should go to.

Seems to me that they'd have been more consistent to have just shown the actual encore concert,, even if they wanted to edit some of the between songs talking out.  I feel like people expecting a full concert were cheated.  ( It is not lost on me that I didn't even go see it because of what I presumed would be hacked up editing...  )

just got back from the concert movie. @barbara no luck with the diamond tickets; this event was excluded so no savings to be had

It was $22 USD after fees here, so looks like it's the most expensive for the US once you convert. My friend said that the Taylor Swift concert movie cost the same but hers was 3 hours long, and even then, the Swifties were complaining that they cut 4 songs out.

It was definitely a whole different experience vs. watching at home and I would do it again but I feel like Hybe dropped the ball a bit.

      Hide contents

The positive is that I got to see all 3 of the special performances with Jimin, Joon, and JK and all my favorite songs.

I forget what song it was, but my newbie friend said "whoah!" during one of Suga's really fast rap parts and also commented "he really goes hard" in another part and seemed to enjoy the dramatic presentation when he was carried onto the stage.

The negative is that the editing was really poor. They cut a lot of parts out and the clips were out of order - even my newbie friends noticed that it seemed out of order and were confused by it. It was more like a series of clips rather than a concert. The overall "art" of the show was lost - it reminded me of an action movie.

There were subtitles during the parts where he's talking to the audience (which wasn't much) but I wish there were also subtitles during the songs so newbies could better understand the depth of the music. There wasn't a lot of non-concert commentary either so it felt neither like a documentary/movie nor a concert. As a fan, I was immersed in the individual performances on a different level because of the big screen and surround sound and I did enjoy it a lot, but it was also a bit disappointing.

Thanks for the review.  I knew that the three special guest performances were in this and that automatically meant that the concert wouldn't be in order.  They had to break it up to do that.  As mom to an editor, bad editing makes me crazy and angry.  Hybe has been, until this, pretty good with their editing, but there couldn't be a way to take the full concert and cut it to 80 min, including credits, without hurting the product.  One wonders why they felt they had to have it be only 80 minutes.  I feel I have seen all the special guests, including Psy, and loved the flow of the full concert.  I'm glad we may have a new ARMY.

I'm still on the fence but probably won't go.  I hate to spend a lot of money and come out disappointed.  I wonder if there will be any complaint letters to Hybe - maybe there should be.

And it's good that there is no picture if they didn't wont it taken, it's called respect of privacy!

But Lee Know beeing there? I know BangChan is part of the 97liner group, never heard that Lee Know was part of it as well.... But he was their background dancer, so it wouldn't surprise me that much if this was true🤷🏼‍♀️.

I bet, and hope, we will get more updates on all the members once Jin is free to post and talk.  I will try to not ask him too many questions about the other guys when he goes on Live, but there are bound to be questions posed to him.  And Jin is also the one most likely to go visit the other members once he's free to.  He knows all the rules and maybe will even be able to post photos on Instagram.

Damn. A BTS concert finally comes to my theater and only 3 tickets sold tonight. It doesn't look the next one will be coming to my theater :(

I'm taking 2 of my friends to see it tomorrow. Hopefully they have fun and it picks up over the weekend. @barbara, if you have a Marcus theaters, you can buy Diamond discount tickets for $8. I'm not 100% sure they'll work on this but they say that they're good for any movie that's not listed as an "Alt Event" or "VIP Seating"

It's only  playing at a few theatres on Saturday and most shows have few seats left - it was only available the two days.  I still haven't decided.  I just saw that Weverse is selling a vinyl LP now - I have the CD and no record player anyway....   Still utterly convinced that there will be something similar to the theatre film for sale on Weverse in a little while.  It won't be the same as in a theatre, but I do have a pretty big tv. And did record, on my phone, the stream, though I haven't tried to watch it since, except Life Goes On that I saved on the phone....

They seem able to release something new every couple of months, or less, even with the members no where to be seen.  So, with it being two months until Jin returns and while he's sure to do a couple of Lives and messaging, I don't imagine he'll be able to release anything new for a couple of months after that, not if he wants to do all the promotional stuff, too.  Weverse will have something else fill the gap.    But I do think Jin will have new stuff out before Hobi gets out in October....

(I can't wait for that first notice that a Live has begun..... )

I'm sorry🙈....hope you can still enjoy it to the max on saturday💜.

    This time, under spoiler😉:

      Hide contents

it's maybe 6 to 8min and not like a real behind the scene video, they are all on youtube anyway, more like a collage of video snippets (but with for me some unknown scenes, which makes me hope for a making off video some day) with Yoongi's narration over it, things he said in other videos before. No dialog happening.

Guess it’s mire expensive in the US, it's "only" 15€ here🤷🏼‍♀️.

I have seen the concert stream twice, know where to find the concert online to watch again, but seeing it on a large screen with great audio was worth every cent. It's just not something I can experience at home (sadly, not having a home cinema for my own pleasure😉)

I hope you can find the time to go🍀🙏💜

The cost is about $25-30, depending on the theatre.  With taxes, etc., it's more.  There will, no doubt, be something to buy on Weverse.  There's already a pay-for-it Road to D-Day.  Weverse never misses an opportunity to make money.  Kind of makes me grateful the Run BTS episodes and Bon Voyage have been free.

  14. 27 minutes ago, rockstaryuzu said:

Not by comparison to the actual concert

True - but I was adding the cost of streaming, etc.  I'll probably break down and so on Saturday.  You should, too - getting away from the stressors of the last five days would be healthy.  You could use the break.

And of course Jin is already showing us he will be the same sweet, goofy guy.  But they won't be, aren't, 22.

i just watched the fifth episode of Hope on the Street and still believe Hobi has taken all that he's learned and made it his own.  A fusion.  This documentary, and seeing him at his pop-up affirms that dance is still life to him and he hasn't lost the passion, won't.

But, I wonder what I would think if I was walking down a street in a city,, or where ever, and came upon a couple of funkily dressed dudes just dancing their hearts out - maybe without actual music playing, and wonder what they were doing.  I have never seen anything like this, spontaneously, on a city street, but it would be fun to.

  15. 1 hour ago, Faithyu said:

Just got back from the cinema. It's so cool seeing the concert (yes, it’s the concert) on a large screen and having the nice dolby around sound. If you can go, do it!

    BUT:

It's kind of crazy how much time the transitions between songs and the talking take during the real concert. Cause they cut these parts all out, put in the three collab performances with the members, added a bit of narrated behind the scene moments and still made this whole thing only around 80min long including ending credits! The concert was a mixture of first half last day of encore in seoul and second half maybe first or second day of encore concert (easy to see, cause no crying Yoongi).

Still on the fence about going, mostly due to the 80 minute length and having watched a stream of the concert.  Yes, there is SO much talking by all the members - and TXT- between sets and songs, and especially at the end of a show.  How much of the movie is behind the scenes and, maybe, dialog with Jimin, Tae and JK?    And it's expensive -------

  16. 2 hours ago, Old Cat Lady said:

It seems every account of Jin is about how handsome, kind, and respectful he is.

...and JK, lol. Tries so hard to be sexy and tough and, even in military, he's seen as a kid. All eyes and nose.

I think that Jin has always been a very thoughtful and kind man.  I suspect it has a lot to do with how be was raised, though all the members are kind.  And JK - five months ago, and still today, the top global solo superstar, but seen as just a kid, though he is older than most recruits.

I didn't want them to have to go into the military but, in a way, it's kind of returned all seven to the same level after varying degrees of solo success. I am so curious about how their experience, and aging slightly, will impact their behavior and performances.  Will they ever do choreo like Fire or Dope or even Run BTS.  They will not be, in any way, a boy band.

I think one of them said that they see this as an opportunity to define what the “adult“ idol group looks like.  It will be different.  They are pioneers.

Just about two months until Jin is discharged.  The time went faster than I expected.

I've watched the four that are out.  Interesting top see who inspired Hobi and fun to watch him learn FAST. But also believe that Hobi is a quantum leap above the dancers who he has loved.  He can do it all, he learns almost instantly, can sing and is a great writer/producer.   I don't think this 6 episode special is illuminating but don't think someone who is not a fan of Hobi and/or hip hop would enjoy it.

Have you never come across any of those videos of their stage performances where the poster has edited out all the music except for their voices? I guarantee you'll never question if they know how to sing on pitch ever again. And Jungkook literally never misses

I know they don't need auto-tune but got into an argument with a friend of Chris', who I've know since he was a boy, about this.  He insisted that EVERYONE uses autotune all the time while I insisted BTS may or may not for recordings, but that they don't necessarily for live performances.  The argument was pointless. So many people simply don't give them credit - he acted like I am just a crazed fan, which is true, but not why I know they don't need autotune.  It's kind of like when Yoongi just stopped singing mid-song once to prove he wasn't lip synching.

When they did the concert in Busan, they hadn't been away from recording, performing and practice.  They won't want to do a comeback until they feel they are perfect.  I suspect that there are many songs already written for that.  It will be interesting to see what Jin does when he gets out.  He was the one member who, ahead of time, seemed to think it would be okay if they all just got on with their lives, but once he was enlisted, he seems to have reconsidered that and anxious to have everyone together again.    No way for us to know, but I do wonder if, when they are in Seoul at the same time as other members, if they are already trying new songs out.

... 50 ... and I don't agree with it being next year. Absolutely no chance. They need at least 6 months to prepare themselves. Any tour would start in 2026.

The only potential for a tour in 2025 is if they count New Years Eve 2025 as that would likely be the very earliest they could perform - at least up to their own high standards.  The five that are finished in June will need some vacation time and time with family and then, I'd guess, at least 6 months of practice.  In spite of being in fit shape, that doesn't translate to dancing shape.  There will be muscle memory for older stuff, but they will want new material - and that also means recording new material.  I suspect that there will be a lot of material that they've come up with while serving, but it will have to be polished and run by producers, like PDogg and SloRabbit.  Really, what do we think is a minimum amount of time between reassembling and actual new songs being released?  And I don't believe they'd embark on a new tour without an album being released just prior.  It's not a question of only recording, but also learning new choreo, etc..  All tour details can be worked out well before the members are even done, by Hybe.

I can't find anything that indicates that anyone gets an early release, no matter how exemplary their service is.

FYI - Hope on the Street already has four episodes out and the last two will be by the end of next week, so for people looking to get the 30 day free Amazon Prime trial, you can safely get it now.  Remember that Yet to Come, the concert in Busan is also on Amazon Prime.

I think that it is really easy to see that Hobi can do anything the professional street dancers do, and more.  I can see what he's taken with him but he is a league above all the guys he has always looked up to.
