    Ehm without 4Lz but 2 3As, he probably could go with 4Lo 4S 3Lz 4Lo3T 4T 4T2T 3ALo3S 3A no? It's still a 5 quads layout

    No he can't.

    In your layout: 4Lo x2, 4T x2, 3A x2

In that case the last 3A won't be counted.

    - Joy (dish liquid)

    - Lenor for sports clothes

I'm sorry but these commercials are so unconvincing LOL! Like, who poses with their daily hygiene products like that?

The toothbrush is now sold out on amazon and rakuten nonetheless.

Uhmm...does anyone want to cohabilitate? Haha. If anyone's staying from 2/14-2/25 (basically the night before the men's SP to the gala), I'm thinking of doing that also, and if we can get some 4 people we can probably book something like this: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/3756019?location=Gangneung Ice Arena%2C Gangneung%2C Gangwon do%2C South Korea&check_in=2018-02-14&check_out=2018-02-25&s=oIHHd1dz&guests=4&adults=4

And it would be like $1250 per person (lol). I'm asking how far it is from the ice arena, but from the map it looks somewhat walking distance.

ETA: She responded: 5 min by car and 40 min walking.

Looking at map I think it's about 40 minutes all right.

I stayed during 4CC in the hostel booked at airbnb. Girls in my hostel asked if they can return in a year for Olympics, the owner said "of course, but we'll raise our prices cause everyone here would do the same".

But I don't think you should stay in Gangneung for so long if your plan is to go only for mens' competitions & gala. Nature is beautiful (the lake, the beach nearby, pines) and air is fresh, but the city itself is rather boring. IMO going to Seoul or any other place in-between is better option.

A little OT, I guess. I'm analyzing some GOE averages for all top men as promised, which I'll probably post in the overall skating talk thread when done, but I need to vent how HARD this is because layouts change so damn much depending on pops, falls, and the goddamn time of the day. Nathan Chen didn't have a single layout that was the same and even changed the order of his spins from competition to competition. And every time I see a pop from Yuzuru I cry. He had A LOT of them.

Please save me from the statistics of Figure Skating

On the other side I believe he had the least number of falls through this season amongst all top men.

Did they change the multiplier on the 'easier' triples in order to encourage quads, then? Alongside increasing quads BV?

It was done at the same time (after Vancouver), yes. But I don't know what was actual reasoning to I can only guess.

I think that earlier version wasn't well balanced, because doing clean 2A is way easier than 4T, and rewarding them same seems unfair to me.

I listened podcast with Lakernik, and he said that IJS system is alive, so it needs tuning now and then. IMO they tuned it just fine after Sochi. But it's getting worse, or rather it's application of the rules that sucks.

He went to Japan Open exhibition as a kid at age 13. But it was just an exhibition. He never competed there.

but anyway, it's a commercial event and not a true competition, not even a senior B. The sponsor of that event also doesn't invite him. I am ok that he never goes there to "compete".

I just have to bring that video (it doesn't have original audio, but I can't find other version)

He also performed at CaOI (aka JO gala) in 2011, he was 16. But because it was White Legend, all videos on youtube are muted now :text-line-smiley-002:

2S+3A+3A seq at finale (also 4T fall at 9:12 of the same clip)

You are not the only one...it's so...bland- both the choreography and his expression of it. He didn't seem invested in it all. Then again, Shoma is the type of skater who takes a long time to learn choreography. He has difficulty learning the steps for the opening/closing parts of competition galas. You'll notice he's usually behind the beat. He was probably concentrating on getting all the steps right. That takes care of the expression bit. The choreography bit...yeah...not sure who did the choreography for this one but it looks like a rush job.

    99.9% it's Mihoko Higuchi

I'm probably in the minority, but I think LGC is better than Chopin. And in a way, that he didn't manage to do it clean is proof of that. I understand why he gave up on it now, but I do wish he'd go back to it at some point... He could have it as Olympic Ex... that would be epic lol

And go clean for the first time. Yeah.

Shoma is everywhere in today's broadcast, but why is he in the middle of Yuzu and Johnny?  Otherwise, Yuzu can crop this photo to get a group pic of both his idols on both sides of him.:xD:

I read in some report today that Yuzu was between Plushy and Johnny, but then kind Johnny invited Shoma to get between himself and Yuzu :text-line-smiley-004:

    hi Fay,

Thank you a lot for answering our questions about possible trip to Moscow. I really appreciate your help.

I also plan my trip to Moscow for COR but my condition is a little bit complex. I may have a biz trip in Cologne, Germany so I will probably fly to Moscow from Germany. The airport I will land will be Vnukovo International Airport and according to the website the Aeroexpress train whose terminus is only Kievsky Rail Terminal.

Will the train has another stop to Belorussky Rail Terminal or the route of Aeroexpress train is only "Vnukovo airport - Kievsky Rail Terminal" and "Sheremetyevo airport - Belorussky Rail Terminal"? There is no othe option.

Not Fay but would dare to answer.

There are three different airports in Moscow, and Aeroexpress connects each of them with different rail terminal (whichever is closer to corresponding airport). So Aeroexpress from Vnukovo goes straight to Kiyevsky rail terminal.

Being non-Moscow resident going every year to CoR I find ”Yandex.Metro" app very useful.

It exists for both Android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.yandex.metro&hl=en and iOS https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/yandex-metro/id392589075?mt=8

Really easy to find the best route (in case of going from Kiyevskaya to Dinamo you'll have to change line at Belorusskaya).

Different lines in subway are color-coded.
