  1. I just have to say how deeply sad I feel for them... Can't even imagine... Humanity needs a reset.
  2. Kao being the legend and winning two competitions on the same weekend I hope he wins many more this season
  3. 'Feminism'? Seriously, it makes me so angry that someone feels like it's ok to have such opinions on something that 1) was most likely mutual decision of two involved people 2) is not anyone's business. I'm surprised he said anything at all.
  4. OMG what a news, congratuations! I just shed a few happy tears, so pleased for him and the wife, AND totally impressed with going under the radar skills Wish them both a lifetime of love and happiness
  5. Eh, since GIFT is now also available on Disney+ in Poland, I decided to ditch all my social obligations tonight and watch, and well now I'm emotional mess on Saturday night ;;;; Mr Hanyu still the only one who can do it to me. Just can't help to smile but also tears fly by themselves I only watched some parts before, I didn't even realize how much I needed this. (Even though I could get by without the dreadful feeling before he skated to Rondo, I mean, I knew of course he skated it clean, but I honestly felt like I moved in time and felt how important this was) Moving on now to watch all of my favourite Yuzuru programs and cry some more
  6. No worries, it never happens. He could do it as his side project though
  7. Geez, Yuzu's next career should be a supermodel. When I think not much about him can surprise me anymore, I see those absurdly good ELLE covers. What's next?!
  8. No, not a lot videos of him anywhere
  9. I was asking myself whatever am I doing spending my free evening on watching Men's at US Nats, but I already got my answer - Samuel Mindra (a skater I've never seen before) had a fantastic performance, I honestly don't care that he's not doing any quads, that is what real skating talent looks like. Skating skills and performance level WAY above current no. 1, even if it's never recognized, I'm glad I could see it.
  10. I find it so funny that they literally broke the scoring in Men's SP and basically had to give Jason 50 PCS to try to reflect the difference in his skating in comparison to his competitor. Which they didn't, not even close Well, I already knew for a year that Malinin is Nathan 2.0, he will never have to work on his not jump-related skills, that doesn't matter in his case
  11. Yeah it's weird, ok she earned the WC spot and others didn't but that she actually got 4CC as well... Strange. If not sending Kaori or Mai, why not Mana or Rika then. Or Yuna Aoki, she could still gry the minimums...
  12. At least most of my fave skaters got something (Mai, Mone, Hana, Kao - plus Kaori but that was obvious from the very start). Pleased for Shun too, he was so close to podium that it would feel bad if he got nothing... And for Sota, even though he bombed the free, when he puts it together he is one of the best. I wanted Mone to go to Jr Worlds as well (honestly her SP in Gdańsk was probably the most beautiful thing I ever seen live ;;) but Mao and Ami are a good team. And I actually like Kao going since he wasn't selected for Senior WC... Gonna keep my everything for him to win this time
  13. I read somewhere that Rinka is the only skater beside Kaori and Mai that met the selection criteria for this year. That would be weird because she finished 12th but actually the only possible selection for Worlds if they follow their own rules...
  14. Thanks, maybe I will try it, the problem is I like to watch competitions the most without knowing the scores/results, and I don't know if I can avoid it for that long But that's an option.
  15. I'm really sad I can't really rewatch Japanese Nationals anywhere I doubt I can watch anything live because work/travelling for christmas, and only few performances are archived... And this is one event I would really like to watch in full. Yeah... sad (yet the event from another country screams for me anytime I open internet )
  16. Junior Women is probably the best event here, even with pretty strict judging today (which I like very much) it was great. Well, Hana Yoshida had a fall and is in last place but honestly beside that, her program is so clearly superior... the best short program this season probably. Hope all six of this fantastic girls have great skates tomorrow! Men... Not the best GPF obviously, but had its moments - I love Kao's programs this season so much, his speed is so crazy that I have heart attack during the whole program but makes it so much more enjoyable, unfortunate fall on the combo, but soooo much quality. And Sota ;____; it took few years until he recovered completely from this horrible injury, but now he can finally skate to some of his potential from junior years... Shoma was... well, Shoma, it's oddly satisfying that he scored 99.99 and not over 100 not the best day for other three unfortunately, but I guess Malinin will still end up first or second...
  17. Wow, that's just, another level I mean, OF COURSE he's doing a show at Tokyo Dome, after all it's Yuzuru Hanyu's world, we are just living in it
  18. Um... I really love Isabeau, but today her score was just... wow. Yo can see she was shocked to see it and it's for a reason... They don't even trying to hide it, huh?
  19. Great to see Kao and Jun medaling at least, I hope Kao has a great competition next week and make it to the GPF Jun also has a decent chance. Ilia's 4A was impressive, his jumping is generally good (except the lutzes...) but he is such a week skater... of course it is gonna get ignored because of QUADS, it's already happening and only gonna get worse... Plus, I just dislike this kid so much, I'm not proud of it, but just can't help it. It's new for me, but his ego is just too much, and so childish... I' just don't want HIM to be a new number one
  20. I woud love this podium to stay, as unlikely as it is. Go, Kao! Jun's StSq is magic. Didn't see such a good one in a long time.
  21. I'm watching JGP Egna and well, can confirm I have the biggest soft spot for little boys skating to classical music. First, Jaekeun, aka Otonal boy, even better than a year ago, and then Matias Lindfors (Viveca's younger brother), they both are sooo good (and, sooo underscored in PCS, of course...) (most men skate to music I find really not great for skating, so when I see such lovely performances it's double joy )
  22. Just coming to say Mone Chiba performed one of the most stunning JGP performances ever today. I officially stop naming it "Julia's music", she made it her own
  23. Good luck to her - one of the most interesting and lovely to watch skaters from the recent years, I was looking forward to see her in Gdańsk Hope she is treated like she deserves in her new skating country, but I guess we will see her in international competitions in a year's time... (if the release is granted...)
  24. I have to say I love Loena'a free skate. I read some opinions that the music is boring, but for me it's a perfect fit, I thought it's gonna be the popular and overused "Poeta", but was really nicely surprised. I'm kind of baffled about her layout though... Seoyeong was great technically, but it really bothers me that she has zero facial expression... She will never get decent PCS, I'm fully aware that's not the main thing judges should asses, but the reality is, it really changes how you see the whole program... I really enjoyed Eva Lotta's program more, even with the mistakes... end even Madeline, though she has a terrible day, if you forget about technical content, such a lovely program...
