  1. I am going to Tokyo too (actually I am now at the airport! Taking the same Air Canada flight that Yuzu takes from Toronto to Tokyo, makes me feel some kind of connection to him....I know that’s a stupid thought...like “Oh, he was here waiting for the same flight”). I have been using the SKII facial treatment essence for many years but perhaps I will try the travel size Sekkisei while in Japan. Has anyone used the Sekkisei MYV line, which I think is a lot more expensive? Wondering if it’s worth the splurge...
  2. I want him to recycle Origin because he definitely has not reached the full potential of this program. I want the 4A with the “Gong” sound!! That will be so epic!
  3. Speaking of Japan travel, if you don’t mind me asking in this thread: I am going to Tokyo in April (so excited!). Does anyone know if I can find the Sendai famous confectionery called “Hagi no Tsuki” (萩の月) in Tokyo? I know that Yuzu likes them and so I really wanna try. I also wanna try zunda. Unfortunately I won’t have time to travel to Sendai this time. Would they sell it at the Haneda Airport? Or this place? https://www.tripadvisor.ca/Attraction_Review-g1066460-d6280370-Reviews-Miyagi_Furusato_Plaza_Coco_Miyami-Toshima_Tokyo_Tokyo_Prefecture_Kanto.html
  4. I am trying to visualize Yuzu with long girly hair - would he really look like a pretty girl? (Probably, yes?). Anyone here can photoshop this? I just wonder and want to see....
  5. I think his FS layout may depend on the results of the SP, as well as other competitor’s FS score (if Yuzu is skating after them). Remember he is a guy who would calculate the points for all the possibilities and even change layout on the spot. The 4T3A he performed in Helsinki didn’t get a good GOE and so he may be kuyashii about it Of course it will also depend on how he feels about his ankle. I hope he doesn’t do anything too crazy and think about his long term health rather than the short term result of this one (although important) competition
  6. I know it’s a long shot but I really hope Yuzu will show up at Laureus wearing a Hakama! Wonder if Brian would advise him to go; it is a really good opportunity to promote figure skating and Japanese culture!
  7. The Asaichi interview he did in ?2015 is so funny as well! He was so charming in it. The one in which he told young kids to “just submit the homework when it’s due even if it’s not completed” https://youtu.be/CG7MBGx9zeM There are more parts to the interview but I am just posting one of them; they should all be in the same channel by yuzufairy.
  8. I watched Nathan’s skates last night on YouTube and to be honest, the skates are pretty good? I know the scores are quite inflated (LOL at the 10s in PCS) but it was definitely worth 200+ for the free and 100+ for the short, given that he skated the high technial content clean and the jumps are actually quite good? (Not worth +5 GOEs but I think more like +3 and +4). So, in my opinion, his SP is not better than Yuzu’s COR performance but his FS is better than Yuzu’s Helsinki performance. However to put things into perspective it would be expected because Helsinki was Yuzu’s first GP this season. If Yuzu had not been injured and had been able to practice properly, I am sure his programs would also be almost perfect by now. Even at COR, his FS was looking pretty good (performance-wise) and if he wasn’t injured there, he probably would have gotten a 210+ FS there. I don’t know what Johnny said though...maybe people are over-reacting a bit though? At the end of the day, there is no need to be bitter coz, who’s the one who’s got 2 OGMs
  9. Random question: when will the next ACI be held? Do we know location? (need to plan for time off) Thanks!!
  10. 53. His flawless skin! 54. His cute almond shaped eyes, single eyelids 55. LGC /Origin hair 56. His chaotic, demonic yet cute kuyashii power
  11. I miss Yuzu too. If he was able to skate this well in the FS, then his injury can’t be that bad? (It should be much better than last year?). If his ankle was severely busted than he probably wouldn’t be able to move his ankle at all, let alone skate and do quads with +5 GOEs? The crutches must be him just learning to be cautious this time around? (someone please say “Yes” to all of the above). I was thinking about him today while driving home from work, thinking how much he has sacrificed for his love of skating. Being away from his country and family for so many years. I was wondering whether I would wish that he would just retire so that he can go back to live in Sendai with his family, perhaps fall in love with a nice girl, and do his own brand of skating shows around Japan, and not having to worry about getting injured by pushing his body so hard. That would give him another type of happiness. But now, the happiness he gets from competition, challenging his limits, and moving forward the sport of figure skating is bigger. So whatever he wants to do, I just will fully support him. The next time we see him skating to “May Spring Come” we will all be such an emotional mess!! It will have soooo much feels....
  12. I was just wondering, you know when he said he is at 5% for his 4A, did he mean that he is landing it with positive GOE for 5% of the time? Thinking also how he said about his 4T3A that if it doesn’t get positive GOE then it doesn’t count....
  13. Sorry for off topic but I cannot find a thread for this in the “Tickets” threads... I am thinking of going to WTT next year in April which is in Fukuoka and tag on a trip to Tokyo. Does anyone know how are tickets sold and whether they are hard to get? (I am from Canada). When will tickets go on sale? What’s the likelihood of Yuzu being there? (*cough*4A*cough*) thanks a lot! Yuzu and Planet Hanyu are the best!
  14. I feel like if he has already been landing 4As in practice, he will do it in Helsinki in the long program if he can get a big lead in the SP. With a points cushion he will feel safer to risk popping a quad in the FS. Or, maybe if he skates after Boyang and Kolyada in the FS and knows how many points he can “afford to lose”, he may bring 4A out. The field in Moscow is weaker than Helsinki (I think?), and so it may also be a good place to try 4A. I think (hope) he won’t wait till GPF to do it since he can take more risks in Helsinki and Moscow as long as he can get enough points to qualify for GPF.
  15. I wasn’t really for these attacks so early in the day. How is this even legal? He is a criminal! I really like the teal outfit though! The colour looks great on him. I hope he will have a chance skating in this outfit but it is unlikely?
  16. About first impression. I also saw Yuzu for the first time in this ACI. He actually looks more “buff” (or “built”?) than I thought. Maybe it’s because I have been reading other fans say he is small, skinny, small face and therefore I was expecting that. His waist is really small though and so perhaps his shoulders looks wide in comparison. You can tell it is all muscles under his UA training gear, and so it is not just “skinny” or “noodly arms”. He skates so fast and smooth and it is really distinctive from other skaters. His movements are so beautiful and graceful down to the fingertips. His face is just so beautiful, his features are delicate and his skin is pale. All of these give off an ethereal feeling. This feeling is really highlighted when he performed Otonal - I didn’t cry but I had that feeling of “wanting to cry” after watching that step sequence. The venue doesn’t have good lighting (photos turn out a but yellowish, I think). Both of his costumes are much more beautiful in person. Much more sparkly. The icy blue colour on Otonal is gorgeous and it really suits Yuzu’s ethereal look if you forget about “it’s supposed to look like autumn” because of the song title.
  17. That’s where I think he will put the 4A too. He pretty much skates along the entire length of the rink before that jump (the first jump in Origin) and that would be his prep. He just needs to skate faster than in ACI Origin!
  18. As long as we keep our organs within Planet Hanyu (as in, we only buy-sell from each other), we should be okay so that we can take turns to see our Overlord!
  19. Oh man, it is going to be WILD this year! How am I supposed to catch up with the threads during ACI? I will be there all day as well so it’s not like I will have free time! I guess there won’t be much happening after ACI because Helsinki will be more than a month away, so perhaps we can catch up then? I am a new Fanyu....I didn’t know I signed up for so much added stress in my life!
  20. How could he even not fall on his butt in that photo!! Thigh and core muscles
  21. Suddenly I had this thought that he will reveal his 4A at COR.....landing his dream jump while skating to his idol’s iconic program/music in front of his idol’s home crowd....the roof will be totally blown off! It’s all in his calculations
  22. Yes, this is making me crave pancakes at the moment! Perhaps those of us who are going to ACI can organize a pancake breakfast meet-up?
  23. Wow, $60 for the VIP ticket is a pretty good deal if you get to meet and greet Javi and Brian, as well as wine and hors d’oeuvres!!
  24. Sing Sing Sing 2.0 Mission Impossible 2.0
  25. Someone needs to translate that faux news (fake news?) article to Japanese and send it to Yuzu, it will make him laugh so hard! Or would it give him ideas....
