  1. My 5 am is beginning to look less horrible to me now. Unless I did math wrong and when I do the time zone conversion online I find out it's actually worse... It's happened before.
  2. I can imagine. I'd deflate just like them.
  3. Very wise. And sensible. Not like we need extra reasons to get high blood pressure, Yuzu gives us plenty already.
  4. I... don't know? Mine haven't done that, so... Maybe it's something to do with altitude or humidity or something? Souffles have a time limit and then will sink, inevitably, but haven't had it happen with meringues. I have scorched them plenty of times, though.
  5. Ah, to balance out my earlier saltiness, I can offer two dozen cookies. We'll be drowning in cookies and muffins by ACI. Baking is relaxing.
  6. I have to say, I don't get it, either. I spent some time on GS before fleeing because there seemed to be this disdain for Yuzu fans? Or people who were enchanted by the Overlord and are now trying to understand the sport itself? But what I really find a little unfair is that I haven't seen any unfair criticism of other skaters here. Every post about them has acknowledged their strengths and then set out, clearly and logically, what a problem might be without any vitriol (like Shoma's PCS at Lombardia). I haven't seen any such logical breakdown of Yuzu's skating flaws. I have seen plenty of people (here, his fans) acknowledge that his stamina was something that needed a lot of work and his earlier programmes went from element to element in the second half. I have seen people freely acknowledge that a quad flip from Yuzu is probably unlikely un;ess he really works on it for a whole collection. Because the flip is not his best jump and probably never will be. I get why it can be a 'cool' thing to not be a Yuzu fan. To me it feels like football fans who are too cool to be Messi fans. But I would be more appreciative of their stance if they could accompany their proud labelling of themselves as not Yuzu fans with a technical breakdown of his flaws as a skater instead of just throwing disdain at Fanyus. Like 'yeah he's overscored' well, please break it down and tell us what elements were overscored? Yeah that was a rant. Sorry about that.
  7. On top of all the stress-baking I'm doing this week... Interesting times. (Types while beating sugar and butter with two dogs trying to get into the bowl. The chocolate discussion didn't help, too.)
  8. At five in the morning.... Walking the dogs would be very interesting after that!
  9. I just realised that I'll have to do ACI on coffee because it'll be at the very crack of dawn for me. I'm jealous of everybody who can do it with wine and beer and tequila.
  10. Oh wow, this is... Know what we need? A reaction post of Javi bowing to Yuzu. I hadn't seen that little clip of him falling and wailing about how walking is scary. I'm giggling like an idiot. Four rotations in the air and landing on ice as if he weighs nothing? No problem. Four and a half? Probably doing it. Walking? No!
  11. Yes, I have that Tumblr bookmarked, too! They're pretty amazing and reliable. Fingers crossed that they come through again!
  12. I was always resigned to finding streams somewhere, anyway, so hopefully there will be something on the vast web.
  13. Welcome! Join the ranks of the supremely excited. And anxious.
  14. Let's put it down to overwhelming excitement and anticipation. Sounds a lot better than stress. And worrying. Lots and lots of worrying.
  15. I hope they find good homes! And that your flight was hassle-free and stress-free. As stress-free as going to watch Yuzu compete can be...
  16. That sounds very much like Arsenal. Expensive, angst, bad atmosphere during losses (and sometimes during wins)... I love how fluid he is, and how unflappable he seems even when he makes a mistake - until after he's done. And talking of doing 2020 so his kids can watch him. And the whole cuteness with the Pokemon Go eating up his data for the last Olympics, he's adorable. I was over the moon when he won the all-round. I would've done a cartwheel if I could. I hope Yuzu has his longevity. They're both such perfectionists.
  17. Which is The Team, if you don't mind me asking? Aside - I love Uchimura, too.
  18. These nerves, they're normal, right? I'd better get used to it, I suppose, because I'll be nervous at least till after the Olympics from now? Still staring at three-turn and brackets in the normal speed gifs, and finding out the difference between the head understanding the theory and the eye learning to figure it out in practice.
  19. Thank you! I found a blog that has pretty good guides, but this is better!
  20. Ah, I hope I get to that stage sometime! Especially the toe-assisted jumps, I know Yuzu does the flip after a lot of turning and steps and in the middle of the programme, while the lutz usually comes at the end (unless he YOLOs something else, then I sit and scratch my head again), but when I'm not expecting it I have to pause and scrutinise the edge, squinting a little, and I still don't get it right half the time!
  21. Oh yes, I bet he's still very salty about those Seimei level 3 calls.
  22. He can spiral over my prone self, too. I really want that spiral in Semei. Really, really, really want it.
  23. It took me a little while to get into Chopin because the first short I saw was PW, which is so drastically different from Chopin. But I've come around and now I can't wait to see it in competition. I bet he will cause a lot of fainting with Seimei. Even in my short time on the planet, I've come to realise that there's no point believing his current apparently planned layout. It'll be nice to have folks on hand with smelling salts, they'll be needed.
  24. I play 'identify the jumps' when I watch and my success rate so far is... not good... As for identifying turns and steps... Well... I tend to go 'That's a mo---ctaw--urn?' Then I decided to just learn Yuzu's planned layout so I know what to expect, but then... The Evil Trollzuru, so I bet anything that won't work. But I'm so glad I found this forum, and then plucked up the courage to post, but everybody's been so friendly and welcoming, it's brilliant. I'm so glad I accidentally and randomly stumbled across that World's free skate because wow, that's the most beautiful and graceful thing I've ever seen. More beautiful than dolphins.
