  1. As some posters have already said above, Japanese commentary is also boring to me and that is why I don't translate them very often I really like Oda though. And Honda. Sano-san gets too excited sometimes and we can't hear the music (haha), so it must be good if we see him in B competitions or WTT
  2. Wow, how can she jump and do the spiral on the wheel like that, amazing!! Thank you for posting
  3. "Sorry for tweeting about my personal matter, but there was the world championship of unicycle! Yes, unicycle! And I won! And the music was! I love Hanyu-san too much! I performed Phantom! I had so much fun! That's all!!!!!!!!" Big Congrats to the world champion
  4. I am using this product every day and keeping it in stock
  5. About the necklaces, I showed "Haru yo koi" to my mother twice, and each time she was like "Wait, did his neck just get longer!? Am I wrong?" so I had to tell her, "Calm down and look, he isn't wearing any necklace in this program." She accepted it but probably I will have to say the same thing when I show her the program again (she admires and envies his long neck)
  6. Yuzuru: I am nervous. I am nervous but I am not an actor, so I hope I can have fun. And this is my first time coming to "eiga-mura (movie village)" and I think the best thing is to feel the atmosphere and enjoy it here. Reporter: How about the lines? Yuzuru: I have memorized them for now and they have been soaked into my body for now, but perhaps I'll get nervous and blow them (laugh). It's a part of my calculation (laugh), can't help it. I am embarrassed, embarrassed. Reporter: You are used to being filmed, aren't you? Yuzuru: I might not be used to being filmed (laugh), I get nervous, still.
  7. In the video clip, the sales lady said the foreign customers came and they (she didn't say how many) purchased Sendaihira products for themselves and others as souvenirs. I wonder if they were the members of this forum
  8. You are right, some amount of Takashimaya profits would be donated for restoration assistance. https://mainichi.jp/articles/20180406/pls/00m/020/261000c
  9. Thank you for your post, there are actors and actresses only for the reenactment drama in Japan, so I have to say it is very unique situation. I think it is a good idea that you will just wait for the reviews if you feel any hesitation to see the program. It is not always necessary to understand and agree with everything in Japan because Yuzuru is a Japanese I said I did not know Kenshin Endo, but I asked my mother (she is TV drama otaku) and she knew him I looked at his profile page again and found out he was from big agency that the famous names belong to, such as Hiroki Hasegawa and Aoi Miyazaki. I might be one of the minority looking forward to see how it is going to be because this is the first time an actor known in TV drama actually plays Yuzuru's role. The length will be short though since the show lasts two hours but it has other athletes' segments, too.
  10. A sport entertainment program will be aired on May 25 from 19:00 on NTV, there is going to be docudrama of Yuzuru including Orser's interview. http://www.ntv.co.jp/horebahoruhodosugoihito/?n_sclbtn=t Young actor, Kenshin Endo plays the role of Yuzuru. I don't know him but he is 17 and 179 cm tall, and plays basketball. http://www.hirata-office.jp/talent_profile/men/kenshin_endo.html Next weekend will be very busy for us
  11. It was confirmed that Yuzuru's talk show in Makuhari would be on May 27 from 19:00. I hope we'll have many reports!
  12. Did he really do that? If he did, that is big NO in my opinion and he has to learn the lesson apparently. Many Monomane players have to work at the bars and clubs where they show their tricks to the customers, and if they don't get paid enough money, they have to work there as waiters or waitresses like part time job. I wish FaOI came soon (before the thing gets troublesome...)
  13. I agree, I do think he doesn't look like Yuzuru, at all
  14. Here is puppies part, every time the athletes from the world come to this show, I appreciate that they are so professional while having fun Monomane (impersonation) is big entertainment business in Japan and I grew up watching it on TV, some impersonators are really talented and professional. But to make living by only that occupation is very hard and its cycle is really fast, new person comes and goes, comes and goes...and a handful of people remain at the end. Now let's wait and see Yuzurenai will be on TV in next year, I think he is going to be in the talk shows or quiz shows this year because it is a pattern for the comedians to be tested in general, but if he did nothing funny or interesting there, I'm not sure if he would be succeeded in future. Personally I feel he has to imitate other celebrities more to survive, like he did in another show where he sang a song of Sekai no Owari, which I actually thought he did very good. But in order to do that, it would be better for him to take off Yuzuru's costume (and maybe change his name). Based on his tweets, he looks to me he is a relatively humble person and I hope he will go to other directions and learn more tricks if he really wants to work as an impersonator. I'm also hoping that Yuzuru doesn't feel offended by him, but I think he knows how Japanese entertainment works and has big heart, so I tend to believe he is fine. I am more worried that some fans may leave negative comments on Yuzurenai's twitter. I think it is free to dislike him but too much negativity will feed the tabloid magazines and antis, I actually have heard already that there was an article said Yuzurenai's agency had received a few phone calls claiming he should stop imitating Yuzuru (and I don't even know if it is true or not.) I know how they feel, but recently a little thing becomes bigger and we are the one who are blamed (sad!), which also makes Yuzuru sad. So I will try to stay just calm By the way, I really LOVED Alina's reaction and couldn't stop laughing!! Go girl
  15. Exactly. It was so gorgeous at the bookstore that I did a double take (but I couldn't buy it because I chose to buy Ice Jewels). It is 2,000 yen but has high quality in everything IMO, different photos by Mika Ninagawa in AERA are also included.
  16. I tried to translate Valentina's words literally, I think she was joking of course And Yuzuru said, "I know, you'll be fine (since I will not take him away from you)".
  17. That's exactly what I thought, too And he seems he is trying very hard to do that but difficult for him, I didn't translate those parts because I don't think I can do the right translation. I hope gradi will save us And the original sentence by Yuzuru to Valentina was "わかっています。大丈夫です。”, so it can also be translated in other ways.
  18. Sorry if this has been already posted, some parts are overlapped with other translations but this article has some more words from Yuzuru. "Now I still have feeling of accomplishment of winning back to back, but after doing ice shows, (I think) I am still lack of something as a competitive skater. I would like to pursuit what I want to master and improve, and I want to be a skater whose skating is liked more." "I want to do 4A no one has done before, and if I came to be able to do that, I would like to try quintuple jump. No one has done it yet and I think the impact on the foot (feet?) is great. I don't think I can do it easily, but I wish I could land it someday after having many practices." https://www.daily.co.jp/general/2018/04/26/0011200911.shtml About the question about Beijing Olympics, I feel Japanese public will keep asking him the same question like a greeting phrase as long as he competes, so I hope he will not take them very seriously (and I will also try not to pay attention to that question )
  19. Yuzuru and other members of Japanese Olympic team are invited to the house of Prime Minister today. And I wonder if there is also the award ceremony of JSF today. https://www.jiji.com/jc/article?k=2018042600174&g=spo
  20. There is no live stream for this event, but there are live TV shows around or after noon so I'm wondering if they will show it live. But it really depends on how the event is carried out since we don't know the time schedule. We are sure to have lots of video clips and Yuzuru is scheduled to meet the press so we're going to have his comments about the event
  21. We've been worried about the weather, but it was officially announced the imperial garden party was going to be held as planned. I hope they are all safe and have good time! And I believe all TV news will cover this event, so let's be ready
  22. I'm not sure if all the tickets of 66 theaters were sold out, but I went to the live viewing in my area so I wrote a short report. (sorry, not much info) (copied from GS) I went to the live viewing near my house, the theater is located in relatively the country side but the tickets were sold out. There are 10 screens and it was amusing to see the list of the films. Detective Conan 2018 Crayon Shin-chan 2018 Pacific Rim Uprising Jumanji: Welcome to the jungle Doraemon 2018 COCO Continues ~with Wings~ The Boss Baby Chihayafuru Musubi Darkest hour The bastard and the beautiful world The greatest showman The commuter Shonen The place was SO CROWDED with mostly the kids who came to see the anime, and there wasn't single poster or flyer of CiONTU probably because the tickets were all pre-ordered. So we must have been the mysterious group who gathered at the screen 8 I had never imagined I could see Yuzuru on the big screen again, but it was definitely a treat. It was lucky my seat was at the endmost in the last row because I didn't have to hide that I was crying in the first 30 minutes or so (including Yuzuru and Plu-san talk) and from the finale to the end I am so thankful to Yuzuru for mentioning the fans in the cinemas during the show again and again, we cheered for the skaters and sang "Happy Birthday" for Javier of course . The whole show was just amazing and emotional as you know, I really hope it is going to be annual (I think it will) During the interval, we were able to watch Yuzuru's medley on day 1 and 2 so we couldn't go to the rest room, some fans were about to go but came back to their seats In Yuzuru's last speech, we were shocked by his words again (there were some gasps in us including me). I just really want him to know we love him so much but he sounded he knew it well. I'm worried about Minoru because he was not feeling well these days but still skated for Yuzuru and us. Thank you, Sano-san, please rest well. (did you see the banner of "Minoru"? I liked it lol) I loved MI2 in Etude costume Now I'm going to dinner and eat well since I skipped the lunch.
  23. I've just tried, the nuance was a little difficult for me to translate since his grandparents' wording were so polite. The season of cherry blossoms has come to Sendai. We hope all is well with you. Since the Olympic Games, the days passed so quickly that we were late to say thank you. We appreciate your continued warm support for our grandson, Yuzuru. For us, this award (gold medal) was only a miracle because he had been injured just before the game. He himself has also said, but (we also feel) it was nothing but the power of cheering from everyone helped him not to fall in the end (of the program). At that time, even us who were cheering at the venue felt something great power, so it probably reached him more strongly. Hoping for his resurrection, how many people gave him great encouragement at the venue or through TV...we can not thank you enough no matter how much we appreciate it. Thank you very much. Now, quietly looking back, we are most pleased not only to see the consecutive victories, but also Yuzuru said, "This is the start line of my life, and I want to make an effort to be a human being suitable for the gold medalist." As his grandparents, we could not be happier for his words. We can not help hoping for him to live a life humbly and sincerely without forgetting these words. However, he is still 23 years old, still immature. Please watch over us warmly and strictly. We pray for all your health, and this is a quick note to thank you. On a fine day in March.
  24. As you know, there are many Japanese commentators who were not medaled in WC or the Olympics, I didn't even know what that reply was talking about. So I checked what kind of person she was and saw her "Hanyu's injury is fake! He is a liar!" tweets and then I understood I'm so sorry for Max being involved in this kind of craziness. Thank you for the great work, gladi, as always There was the scene that Yuzuru thanked a reporter (he is from NHK) for featuring him in TV program on NHK and I was very surprised that he had watched it, because that program is only 10 minutes length and I even skipped watching it lol. So he might be watching his news or materials more than we imagine
  25. Thank you for your great work! It was indeed funny talk show, I rewatched it a couple of times Glasses white hoodie oji-san is actually PPAP guy , so Yuzuru and TJ at WTT had a relation in the past (sort of lol). He has two names, PIKOTARO and Kosakadaimaou.
