Sparkly Ruffle

Sparkly Ruffle (5/67)

  1. Hi, guys! It's been a while I hope you've been enjoying FaOI as I have (I am watching it at home as always ). I really liked Yuzuru's interview aired on Fuji last night, he had refreshing words and look on his face. I hope this year will be the one he is satisfied with. Ganbatte, Yuzuru
  2. It's 1am already but I don't think I can sleep until tsunami warnings are released. Sendai has had 2 waves (the latter was 70cm) so far according to NHK news. I hope Yuzuru and everyone are safe.
  3. Thank you, @Geo1. I myself can't stop comparing Shohei to Yuzuru so I enjoyed your post. I didn't know Shohei ran so fast before I started watching his play this year, he clearly has "total package" like Yuzuru does and that is the most appealing to me as a sports fan. Yesterday Shohei had phone interview and he said he didn't have any plan (to cerebrate MVP) after this but would see his mother and sister since they were in town, and he would sleep early because he had something to do on next day Needless to say, the most important thing is "the health" for both Yuzuru and Shohei, because we know they will be fantastic if they are healthy. Fingers crossed for them in next year and the seasons to come
  4. I will not go to the venue but I looked up on NHK site (http://nhk-trophy2021.jp/faq.html) and found out the audience could cheer only by applause and clapping hands (no voice, no screaming). And they will not be allowed to throw the flowers and gifts. I am sorry for them because they could not scream at the last Japanese nationals with Yuzuru's two new programs and costumes, and of course amazing performances. But I am very sure he will feel love and support from all over the world. I hope Yuzuru is going to show up in good shape next week! (I can't believe I am saying "next week"...)
  5. After watching his new interview (especially his comment "please look forward to it"), I feel like we are really going to see Yuzuru's try of 4A in the competition in this season. I hope he stays healthy and makes his dream come true
  6. A question for the athletes competes in Tokyo Olympics, "Are there any person who you want to become like him/her or you admire and see him/her once?". These players all answered, "Yuzuru Hanyu". (The thread shows, Kotona Hayashi, Ran Takahashi from volleyball, Nanami Takenaka from rhythmic gymnastics, Hitomi Hatakeda, Aiko Sugihara from artistic gymnastics, Sayaka Mikami from diving, Kijima Moeka from artistic swimming) Probably there will be some more Ran Takahashi is my recent favorite player, so I am glad to know that he likes Yuzuru This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  7. Sorry if this has been already shared, Minami Itahashi, a diver, says she thinks Yuzuru's smooth movements are really amazing and there are a lot of things she was able to gain from watching another sport. She wants to be a diver who can perform both powerfully and smoothly to aim for the higher placement in the competition (brief summary). I am very proud that Yuzuru inspires not only skaters but also athletes in different sports. https://twitter.com/miyaxrin/status/1407029517902696448 This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  8. Thank you all for caring about Japan and Tokyo Olympics, and thank other Japanese posters explaining the situation in our country. Before pandemic, I had much hope for Yuzuru to take part in the Olympics in some way, but right now I really don't know. It's insane the event is less than 50 days away but no official announcement has been made on how it will be held. I am going to support Yuzuru whatever decision he makes, and as a sports fan, I will support all athletes who come for the game and cheer for them in front of TV in my house. While Yuzuru is in Kanto for DOI, he might do some jobs such as filming 24hr TV stuff. Just my guess though.
  9. I am sorry for the luck of my English ability, I can not translate his thesis (thank other translators in advance!). But the most interesting part in this thesis for me was that he took his 1F and 3F as examples for measuring the weight transfer on the edge at their take off, and the result showed that his weight was on inside-edge in 1F but on outside-edge in 3F (remembering old days) But I think it is also possible he did it on purpose to show the difference clearly as the data.
  10. We'll have Yuzuru's interview with Shuzo Matsuoka tonight, it's something we can look forward to
  11. Thank you for your post, because after deciding to leave GS a few days ago, I was wondering when I first made a post in the fan fest, it seems it was October 2012. Looking at the names there, probably a half of them were also fans of other skaters, and some of them turned to Yuzuru's anti once he started winning. Human beings are very interesting Thank you all the members here for a lot of information etc. of Yuzuru and FS in general. I won't be able to post very often but I will be reading you the same as before
  12. Asuka says, "When I overcome the hardest time and am back to the competition (near future), I think I will be moved and might cry.", "Origin, the music Hanyu-kun has used, I want to use it and my goal is to dance in it to the fullest."
  13. This makes me emotional, Japanese gymnast, Asuka Teramoto, chose "Origin" as music piece for her last program in the floor routine. https://www.sponichi.co.jp/sports/news/2020/07/15/kiji/20200715s00067000212000c.html Asuka tore her Achilles' tendon in February but has been training for the competitions of this season and also aiming for Tokyo Olympics. She is a two time Olympian and two time national champion. She says she wants to end her competitive career with music of Origin and will save the program for the next season because she wants to show it at the very end. Good luck, Asuka! (I think I am going to cry when I see it because I have been watching her since she was very very young ) By the way, I've read that when Kanako Murakami was learning gymnastics in her childhood, Asuka was one of her teammates. Small world!
  14. This fan noticed that the total length of three video was 311 seconds. ...Sometimes he scares me
  15. Look at the end of the video, I think we'll have Yuzuru next! (nice trumpet, Wakaba!)
