I think we all fully support that..... my only fear is the reaction of the judges. Just because something was well received the first time, does not mean it will be again. While i believe Chopin is too good to be denied, who knows what judges will say about it. We've seen them do odd things before. We dont' want to give them more ammunition.

Looking at that GPF schedule... thank goodness Tracy and Ghislain are now going to comps with Yuzu/Javi.... now that Jun Hwan is senior, without them, Brian would have to go to every single Grand prix in the season... holy frequent flyer miles Batman.

Hey, he could always put in a boob skirt... no matter what the music. It's Yuzu. half the time I don't understand why the sequins or feathers are where they are on the costume. My hope is that by keeping programs that are familiar, he is going to upgrade his jump content. if the rest is comfortable and familiar (body is already familiar with the movements) then maybe the hard new elements won't be so hard to add in. At least, this is my hope... otherwise it looks like he's just playing it safe.

No one should ever get better GOEs than yuzu on any 3A!! Never, ever, ever. Not possible.... ok, possible, but only if he flubs it himself.

It would be good if he stayed in toronto for a good block of time after faoi. Makes sense to not do doi. Next summer there is more than enough time to do everything he wants.

I can hardly wait for faoi. I want to see what Shoma is doing... and maybe others will reveal their programs earlier than DOI as well. It makes sense to practice it in front of an audience as soon as possible: get the feel for the program, how the jumps fit in, and develop nuances earlier that usually come with performance experience etc.. I wonder if Yuzu will debut a program there... I so hope he will, for all the benefits listed above, but i doubt it would be an sp since JB has been working... maybe they'll work on it during FaOi. Maybe a new exhibition?

It has to be Patrick's hand... no doubt in my mind. And in that suit in those pictures, yup, Yuzu is wearing someone else's suit again. I know people said it didn't fit him well before, but in the bottom photo with Mai his sleeves look super big on him, lol.

Patriotism isnt so big with me either in sports.... unless it is hockey. I always gravitate towards Russian pairs, starting with G/G, and i used to prefer Russian dance until the late 90s, but it was always whoever from wherever in singles, which is definitely opposite to how i should be if i were patriotic. You like who you like.

I do not think Takeshi lived with his mom in Canada. I remember a fluff piece showing he lived in the basement of a home in Barrie, so he probably spoke with them a lot. Isnt Nobu's english also better than Yuzu's?? Probably the same reason. When you are alone you have to speak to others more, no choice, whereas yuzu goes home and talks to mom, probably does school work... probably watches Japanese tv instead of Canadian... and everyone knows the best language tutor is watching soaps on tv, lol!! But yeah, he gets away with cute english and it improves all the time.... just more slowly!!!

I knew he would do them. Last year he sent video messages, people signed books, brian had to talk him out of going even with the injury.... with his sense of duty you knew he was going to try to make it up to his people.... and, of course, his obvious joy in doing it is the biggest thing! Spending time with his friends is probably important too. All work and no play is never fun...

I just knew he was back... he said he wanted to get to work right away so..... And for me he is less than an hour's drive away now... it always makes me smile :)

I am one of the few who like it more simple. I chose Seimei and PW. For me the lines look better too. Costme cut on the shoulders of HL and Rj2 make him look very frail and small, less balanced with his stronger lower half.

ah, the walley... didn't realize Yuzu had tried that. When I see him doing certain moves, like the single axel, the last spin in H/L, the walley into a jump... you can tell he is working with Brian, who used all of those exact same moves, kind of signature moves, lol, when he was skating.

Oh, that one is awesome!!!! Yuzu has such grumpy looks sometimes... or should I say, a very expressive face from joyful to grumpy and all in between.

It's too bad that skaters do not do quick drop ins or extra special guest spots on different shows... and by this I naturally mean that it is too bad Yuzu could not do a guest spot on CSOI in Toronto!!! He is there.... It would be so convenient.... for me, lol. It is sad that we rarely get international stars anymore on csoi.... I used to go regularly but now it is just a Canadian cast usually... not worth it for me. Only people in Japan ever get shows with him in it... not fair!!!!

Are these good quads with actual height or just jumps like triples but with faster rotations?

Give me some Midori. Maybe her body line was not typical graceful skater ish, but there was/is no one as exciting as she was.
